Description
Packaging for a wristwatch
The present invention relates to a packaging for a wristwatch.
It is distinguished by a case containing a lélipipdique paral box of length at least corresponding to that of the watch with its strap deployed and open on its upper face, this box containing at each end a part folded so as to present the appearance of a block fitting exactly in the corresponding end of the box, the transverse wall of this block directed towards the inside of the box comprising a notch in the profile of a half-moon open towards the bottom of the box, the transverse wall opposite, coinciding with the end of the box, forming, for at least one of the blocks, a dihedral angle of less than 900 with the upper face of the block.
The appended drawing shows an embodiment of the object of the invention, given by way of example, and explains its usefulness.
Fig. 1 is a partial perspective view of the packaging.
Figs. 2 to 4 are used to illustrate them. benefits.
According to fig. 1, a case 1 contains a parallel lipipedic box 2 open and of suitable length to be able to contain a wristwatch with deployed bracelet. A branch of such a bracelet is partially shown at 3, placed on the bottom of the box 2.
Case, box, and the item to be described, are made of cardboard, plastic, etc. and obtained by folding.
The visible end of the box 2 is occupied by a folded part having the appearance of a block 4, fitting exactly in said end.
This block is visible alone in fig. 2.
Its transverse wall 5 facing the inside of the box 2 has a notch 6 in the shape of a half-moon, opening towards the bottom of the box in the position of use (see FIG. 1).
The transverse wall 7, opposite the previous one, intended to come to be placed against the end of the box, is inclined, in the sense that it forms with the upper face of the block 4 a dihedral angle C smaller than 900.
This makes it possible, for example by displaying the wristwatch placed in its box in a display case, to remove the block-shaped element 4 from it and place it diagonally on a horizontal surface 8 (see fig. 2) in such a way. to present to the public an advertisement P printed on its visible face.
As for the notch 6, FIGS. 1 and 3, the second of which is a cross section of the packaging, show that it can provide passage for the bracelet 6 and help keep it pressed against the bottom of the box when the whole is packed.
As the watches and bracelets do not all have the same dimensions, the notch 6 in the shape of a half-moon allows easy adaptation.
For a larger caliber men's watch with a wider strap, it will be kept in the correct position as described above.
In the case of a lady's watch, of smaller caliber, with a narrower strap, a double bottom 9 will be placed in the case, to raise the watch, thus bringing the strap to 10, where it is again held in place. in a narrower area of the notch.
At each end of the box 2 there will be an element such as 4 in the form of a block, but it is not essential that both have an inclined transverse wall, such as 7.
The packaging according to the invention can be obtained by folding and gluing cutouts of cardboard or of another thin material of suitable profile.
