Plug-in coupling The invention relates to a plug-in coupling for connecting pipes with smooth ends, consisting of a coupling sleeve and two sealing rings each arranged between a pipe end and the coupling sleeve.
The essence of the invention is that the sealing rings resting on the coupling sleeve and the pipe ends with sealing lips are in a form-fitting connection with the inside of the coupling sleeve at their circumference.
De! Sealing rings can have an annular groove on their circumference, in which support plates which are directed inwards from each end engage. For example, the support plates can be formed by the bent edge of the coupling sleeve. It is also possible, please include, releasably assign the support plates in the coupling sleeve. Such releasable support plates can be held in the coupling sleeve by a snap ring.
The pipe ends can be centered in such a way that the diameter of the coupling sleeve is narrowed in the transverse center plane. Another possibility of centering can be realized with a separate center piece. With the Zen tralstück an inwardly directed annular approach can be connected.
In some cases, it is useful to provide the sealing rings on the outside of the coupling sleeve with an additional sealing lip that rests against the pipe end. The sealing rings can have extensions on the outside of the coupling sleeve for applying an adhesive tape.
The sealing rings can also have an annular bead on their circumference, with which they engage in a corresponding annular groove of the coupling sleeve.
In the drawing, exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown. They show: Fig. 1 a longitudinal section through two pipe ends which are connected by a plug-in coupling, Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section through a plug-in coupling with a centering of the pipe ends, Fig. 3 is a longitudinal section through a Steckkupp development, the detachable support rings for supporting you Fig. 4 shows a plug-in coupling as in Fig. 1 with sealing rings which have a mating lip on the outside of the plug-in coupling,
5 shows a plug-in coupling as in FIG. 1 with sealing rings that have extensions on the outside for applying an adhesive tape, FIG. 6 shows a plug-in coupling as in FIG. 1 with a separate centering piece.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, two abutting pipe ends 1, 2 are connected by a plug coupling which consists of the coupling sleeve 3 with inwardly bent edges 4, 5 and two sealing rings 6, 7. The latter have at the beginning of an annular groove 8 and 9, in which the edges 4, 5 engage positively. The sealing rings 6, 7 lie with sealing lips 10, 11 against one of the pipe ends 1, 2 and against the inner wall of the coupling sleeve 3.
The plug-in coupling is mounted in such a way that it is first pushed onto one end of the pipe. After the second pipe end has been pushed, the plug-in coupling is pushed back so that it is approximately symmetrical to the parting line 12 of the pipe ends 1, 2 according to FIG. Slipping of the sealing rings 6, 7 is impossible, since they are positively connected to the coupling sleeve 3. The sealing lips 10, 11 adapt well to the wall of the coupling sleeve or the pipe ends due to their training.
As soon as a gaseous or liquid medium flows through the pipes 1, 2 and also fills the space 13 between the coupling sleeve and pipe ends, the medium exerts pressure on the sealing lips 10, 11 and presses them even more strongly against the walls. The coupling sleeve 14 according to FIG. 2 has a constriction 15 in the middle, which causes the pipe ends 1, 2 to be centered.
The coupling sleeve 16 according to FIG. 3 consists of a smooth piece of pipe, which has recesses at the ends for receiving support rings 17, 18, which are held in their position by snap rings 19, 20. With the support rings 17, 18 you are processing rings 6, 7 in a form-fitting connection. Here through the sealing rings 6, 7 can be installed or removed from the side on it.
According to Fig. 4 3 sealing rings 21, 22 ver used on one of Fig. 1 corresponding coupling sleeve, which apart from the inner sealing lips 10, 11 have an additional sealing lip 23 on the outside of the plug-in coupling. Through the sealing lip 23, the sealing rings 21, 22 are also effective in the opposite direction, d. H. if there is negative pressure in the pipe.
The plug-in coupling according to FIG. 5 has sealing rings 24, 25, which continue on the outside of the coupling sleeve 3 in extensions 26, 27. The extensions 26, 27 are provided with transverse ribs and are used to apply an adhesive tape 28, 29. If the coupling sleeve 3 is already insulated, a short adhesive tape 28, 29, which supports the extensions 26, 27 and a short piece of the insulated pipes 1, is sufficient , Cover 2 to create complete insulation of the plug-in coupling.
The plug-in coupling according to FIG. 6 corresponds to the embodiment according to FIG. 1, except for an annular central piece 30, which is made of elastic material and serves to center the pipe ends 1, 2. The center piece 30 can send a white inward. have annular extension 31, which holds the pipe ends 1, 2 apart at a certain distance.
At the side edges of the central piece 30 there are incisions 32, 33, which ensure that the pressure of the medium flowing in the pipe reaches the inner sealing lips.
Either metal or plastic is used as the material for the coupling sleeve. In order to protect the plug-in coupling from corrosion, the coupling sleeve is provided with either a paint or plastic coating. The free of the insulation transition point between the socket and pipe insulation can be covered in a known manner with adhesive tape.
