Fastening device for panes supporting a division
The invention relates to a fastening device for disks of angle measuring devices that are mounted in a housing and carry a division, in particular for disks with non-contact photoelectric scanning, which are fastened in a holder and are arranged on an axis via this.
In the known arrangements of this type, it has been found to be a disadvantage that in the event of temperature fluctuations, the disk arranged on the axis of the device experiences a different change in position with respect to the scanning element attached to the housing, which leads to falsification of the measurement result.
Another disadvantage of this known arrangement is that the assembly of the disk carrying the graduation in the housing is difficult and also time-consuming, in particular when space is tight.
It is therefore the aim of the present invention to eliminate these disadvantages and to make the measured values supplied by the device largely independent of temperature fluctuations and, moreover, to facilitate the assembly of the device.
The invention solves the set goal in that the elements of the axis, the pitch-bearing disc, the scanning element, the axle bearing and a ring surrounding the axle bearing are a self-contained assembly that is attached to the housing, but is independent of the housing.
In the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the fastening device is shown in section.
1 with an annular disc bearing the division is referred to, which is attached to an annular holder 2 and rigidly connected to this by cement.
The division is on the disc 1 in an advantageous manner, for. B. applied in the photomechanical contact copying process.
The copying device, not shown, in this case consists of a template corresponding to the desired division and a receiving mandrel centered on the template and fixed thereon immovably.
The mounted disc, which is provided with a light-sensitive layer at its parting plane, is brought into direct contact with the parting plane of the original via the receiving mandrel of the copying device and the further copying process is carried out in a known manner.
The diameter of the receiving mandrel of the copying device, not shown, is dimensioned so that it corresponds exactly to the diameter of the journal 4 of the axis 3 of the device to which the disk 1 provided with the division in the manner described above is applied via its annular socket 2. As a result of the design of the copying device used to produce the division, which has already been explained above, there is no need for any adjustment of the disk 1 carrying the division with respect to the journal 4.
The mounted disk 1 is rigidly connected to the journal 4 by cement.
On the other axle journal 5 of the axle of the device, which is offset on both sides and denoted overall by 3, the axle bearing is applied, which in the embodiment shown is advantageously designed in the form of two pretensionable ball bearings 8 and 9 separated from one another by the spacer sleeves 6 and 7. It is also possible to arrange the ball bearings 8 and 9 directly next to one another on the axis 3.
The ball bearings 8 and 9 are pretensioned in the axial direction with respect to the collar 12 of the axle 3 by means of the nut 11, which is screwed onto a threaded shoulder of the journal 5.
A ring surrounding the bearings 8 and 9 is denoted by 13 and is fitted onto the outer ring of the ball bearings 8 and 9.
Furthermore, 10 denotes the scanning member, which is a scanning disc for photoelectric scanning in the embodiment, which is attached to a ring-shaped socket 20 and the disc 1 is assigned at a short distance.
The scanning disc 10 is mounted on the socket 20 on the outer ring of the ball bearing 8 and non-rotatably attached to the ring 13 opposite the disc 1 by means of screws, not shown. The scanning disc 10 is rigidly attached to the mount 20 by cement.
On the mounted scanning disk 10, on the side facing the disk 1, a graduation is applied in the manner explained for disk 1.
The diameter of the receiving mandrel of the copying device (not shown) is in turn dimensioned such that it corresponds exactly to the diameter of the outer ring of the ball bearing 8 to which the scanning disc 10 is attached via its mount 20.
In the exemplary embodiment, the disk 1 used for measuring and setting angles is divided into radial grids in a manner not shown, the grid arrangement being made in a known manner such that each path element consists of a transparent and a non-transparent subfield. The division of the scanning disc 10 is designed so that it is identical to that of the disc 1. If the measuring task also requires the direction of movement to be taken into account, then in the simplest case two graduations offset from one another and identical to the pitch of the disk 1 are applied to the scanning disk 10. Due to the pitch offset on the scanning disc 10, the signals supplied by a photodiode are shifted in their phase.
The signals are converted into square-wave pulses in known electronic components and used as a criterion for direction recognition and as counting pulses.
With such arrangements, a constant phase position of the signals is a prerequisite for a perfect measurement. If disk 1 and scanning disk 10 expand differently, the phase angle of the signals would be changed.
Since in the fastening device according to the invention the elements axis 3, sockets 2 and 20, axle bearings 8 and 9 and the ring 13 are made of a material corresponding to the coefficient of thermal expansion of the disks 1 and 10 and are also a coherent assembly independent of the housing 15 When the temperature changes, the disks 1 and 10 experience the same expansion, which does not cause any change in the phase angle and thus allows perfect measurement.
After the disc 1 carrying the division, the bearings 8 and 9, and the ring 13 and the mounted scanning disc 10 via the bearings 8 and 9 have been applied to the axis 3, the coherent assembly is inserted into a bore 14 via the ring 13 of the housing 15 and fixed relative to the housing 15 by means of screws 16 located in the housing 15 and engaging in the ring 13. The screw 17 has a conical shoulder which engages in a bore 18 of the spacer sleeve 6. 19 and 23 designate a cover which closes the housing 15 in a dust-tight manner.
The elements required for photoelectric scanning, such as the lighting device, lenses, photodiodes and other electronic components, are mounted in the housing 15 in any known manner in the exemplary embodiment. One possible arrangement is shown schematically in the drawing with dash-dotted lines. The axis 3 is connected to the drive shaft 21 via a metal bellows 22, which has a high torsional strength, but only a low bending stiffness, whereby stresses on the sensitive precision bearings 8 and 9 are largely avoided.
The invention is of course not limited to the embodiment described with non-contact photoelectric scanning. So the invention can e.g. B. be used in theodolites in which the disk carrying the graduation is scanned by means of an optically imaging system against an index, the optical system and the index on which the axle bearing enclose the ring, which is fixed in relation to the disk carrying the graduation, is appropriate.
It is also possible to use the fastening device according to the invention for angle encoders with capacitive, inductive and magnetic scanning.
