/\ i'= K. Q2 4.

Method and device for determining steam moisture
The invention relates to a method and a device for determining the steam moisture by measuring the enthalpy change that occurs when the wet steam to be measured changes through the supply of heat to superheated steam.
For the economical operation of thermal power plants and industrial steam plants, constant knowledge of the steam moisture is of particular importance, because it enables the efficiency of steam engines to be tracked, their operational reliability and their further structural development. This is especially true for large units where the aim is to automate operations. The measurement of the steam moisture in steam circuits in nuclear power plants seems to be of great importance. Knowledge of the steam quality is also of great importance for steam networks and in front of steam consumers.
Of the previously known measuring methods for steam moisture, the separation method and the mixing method should be mentioned, which use the known throttle calorimeter, the electric or a combined calorimeter, whereby the measurement must be carried out repeatedly and the curve of the supplied heat output must be extrapolated.
The above-mentioned measurement methods are very laborious and time-consuming in operation, since the measurement results have to be estimated and processed in a complicated manner. Instantaneous values as well as the continuous changes in the steam moisture state cannot be recorded with sufficient accuracy.
Throttle calorimeters are not reliably suitable for measuring the exhaust steam in most condensation turbines, since the wet steam flowing out of the final stage cannot be converted into superheated steam even with a large isenthalpic expansion. Another disadvantage of the separation calorimeters is that they do not indicate the state of the outlet steam.
With the electric steam calorimeters it seems to be a disadvantage that the sample amount has to be measured, which very often leads to errors in the measurement. This complicates the measurement and makes full automation impossible.
If the steam temperature is measured with different power supplies in electric calorimeters, a curve is obtained as a function of these measured quantities and, through its extrapolation, the heat required to convert a wet steam sample into saturated steam, whereby it is assumed that the flow sample remains constant during the measurement.
Volume measurement can be dispensed with, to the detriment of readiness, fluency and measurement accuracy.
All these measuring methods require a lossless flow of the sample through the calorimeter, which cannot be strictly fulfilled and leads to inaccuracies in the measurement. A calibration is therefore necessary after every change in the state of the tested medium so that the influence of heat losses on the measurement results can be determined. This complicates the measurement, which still fails when the steam humidity fluctuates.
The above-mentioned deficiencies are solved at low flow velocities of the wet steam on the basis of a method in which the wet steam is superheated in two stages, with the superheating points and the measuring points being lined up one behind the other. This method has proven itself completely in the area of the flow rate of the wet steam, in which the difference in the heat transfer factor in the area of the wet and superheated steam is negligible. At high speeds of the wet steam, however, there is a difference in this factor in both areas. The temperature rise on a temperature sensor, e.g.
B. a thermocouple, in the stream of superheated steam does not correspond to the temperature rise of the sensor in the stream of wet steam of the same Ge speed, because this depends on the relative wetness of the steam. At high speeds of the medium, there is no proportionality between the area of wet steam and superheated steam. In the first superheating stage, the liquid component of the wet steam is converted into superheated steam, with side effects of evaporation and a substantial increase in the specific volume appearing at high flow rates.
In the second superheating stage, the steam no longer changes its physical state. Therefore the flow conditions and the associated pressure losses are different for the two superheating stages.
The invention is intended to remedy these disadvantages. The method according to the invention is characterized in that part of the wet steam is fed to a measuring device which is provided with two measuring branches, an unmeasured flow rate in one measuring branch being converted into a state of overheating by a supplied amount of heat and a further, unmeasured flow rate which to the flow rate in the first measuring branch is determined in a be steam and which is transferred to the measuring branches by a supplied, other amount of heat in a state of overheating corresponding to this amount of heat, with the pressure or the temperature at the inlet pipe and in the measuring branches of the measuring device before the superheaters .
the temperature of the wet steam is measured and, after the superheaters in the measuring branches, the pressure and the temperature of the superheated steam are determined and the amount of heat supplied to the measuring branches and its ratio are determined and the continuously measured quantities are recorded, using the measured parameters of the superheated steam and the ratio of the enthalpy increase in the measuring branches, the moisture level of the wet steam is determined.
The device for carrying out the method is characterized in that the inlet pipe of the measuring device is branched into two measuring branches, the cross-sections of which are in a certain ratio and which are provided with radiators, thermal insulation and regulating devices for the flow rates, the inlet pipe and the measuring branches with Measuring points for measuring the wet steam pressure or
the temperature in the inlet pipe and outside the measuring device, in front of the radiators with measuring points for measuring the wet steam temperature and behind the radiators with measuring points for measuring the pressure and with measuring points for measuring the temperature of the superheated steam, the radiators being provided with devices are provided for regulating and measuring the ratio of the amount of heat supplied for the purpose of overheating the steam in the measuring branches.
The procedure is based on the following principle:
A part M, an unmeasured flow sample M of wet steam with a temperature to and a pressure p, and with the unknown degree of humidity xO, is supplied with an amount of heat Qt, whereby this part is converted into superheated steam with a temperature tt and a pressure pi. A quantity of heat Q2 is supplied to another quantity M2 of the unmeasured flow sample M with the same parameters to, po, xo and the wet steam is converted into superheated steam with a temperature t2 and a pressure p2.
The increase in enthalpy from the state to, po, xo to a state that is characterized by the parameters tt, pi is given by: Ail = Qi and with an increase from the state to, po, x, to the state with the parameters t2, p by: '-' '
M2
Since both enthalpy changes are carried out in parallel, the following applies:
AioMi.Qs
AiiM, .Qi
Since the ratio of the inlet cross-sections in both measuring branches is constant during the measurement and the flow velocities in the measuring branches can also be kept constant by known control devices, equation 3 can be simplified:
/ \ i '= K. Q2 4.
Ait qui and with the same cross-sections in both measuring branches (since K = 1), one gets for the ratio of the increase in enthalpies:
AisQz
Aii Qi
The equality of the non-measured flow rates in the measuring branches is achieved by means of calibration orifices, throttle valves or by regulating suction pumps. A necessary condition is that the inlet temperatures and the inlet pressures of the wet steam in the measuring branches and in front of the measuring device in the wet steam flow are the same. Then the flow rates in the measuring branches must be the same and the flow velocities do not have to be measured.
Since the quantities of heat Qi, Q2 supplied to the measuring branches, e.g. B. can be determined exactly by measuring the electrical power supplied, one can determine the ratio
Aia
Determine Aii precisely and determine the degree of humidity xi from suitable thermal diagrams, e.g. B. the i-s diagram. Only the static pressures, the temperatures and the ratio of the electrical power supplied are measured.
The method according to the invention is explained, for example, with reference to the accompanying drawings.
In Fig. 1 an (i-s) diagram is shown in which the measurement states are designated.
Fig. 2 schematically shows a device when measuring in a steam pipeline.
Fig. 3 shows an example when measuring in the turbine outlet with negative pressure,
4 shows an example of an embodiment of the device with a common entry point for the measuring branches.
5 shows an example of an embodiment of the device according to the invention with separate entry of the wet steam into the individual measuring branches.
6 shows a measuring arrangement in which the measuring branches are attached outside of the measured medium.
In Fig. 1 an (i-s) diagram is shown in which the individual measurement states with the points A, B and C are designated. The sought condition A corresponds to the parameters to pO and xi of the wet steam, the point B to the parameters tl, pi of the superheated steam in one measuring branch, the point C then the condition t2, P2 of the superheated steam in the further measuring branch. The enthalpy increase A i due to overheating in a measurement branch is shown by the distance BD; the increase in enthalpy L i2, which corresponds to the overheating of the wet steam in the further measurement branch, represents the distance CE.
Fig. 2 illustrates an example of the measurement of vapor moisture at a pressure exceeding atmospheric pressure, e.g. B. in a steam pipe. The measuring device 100, which is provided with thermal insulation 90, is attached with the inlet 10 against the flow direction in a steam pipeline.
Regulating valves 200 are switched on in the outlets 21 and 22 from the measuring branches.
In the event that the pressure of the wet steam is lower than atmospheric pressure, e.g. B. in the exit from the turbine, the measurement according to FIG. 3 is carried out. The measuring device 100 is mounted in the outlet line and regulating valves 200 are switched on in the outlets of the measuring branches 21 and 22, and the common outlet is connected to a pump 300.
4 shows a measuring device 100 with a common inlet pipe 10, which in this example branches into two measuring branches 21 and 22. Measuring points 30 for measuring the pressure po of the wet steam flowing through and measuring points 40 for measuring the pressure p of the flowing wet steam are carried out on the inlet pipe 10. Each measuring branch has its own measuring points.
Measuring points 61 for measuring the inlet temperature to of the medium, heating elements 81 for overheating the medium, further measuring points 51 for measuring pressure pt and measuring points 71 for measuring temperature t1 of the overheated medium are provided on measuring branch 21. Similarly, the further measuring branch is provided with measuring points 62 for measuring the inlet temperature to ', with heating elements 82 for overheating the medium, measuring points 52 for measuring the pressure p2 and measuring points 72 for measuring the outlet temperature t2 of the overheated medium.
The feed rates of the heating elements 81 and 82 are regulated and measured in a known manner and can be set in a specific ratio.
Since it is a matter of measuring in the event of parallel overheating and otherwise the same conditions, it is not necessary to measure the heat loss of the radiators in order to correct them. It is necessary, however, to isolate the overheating sections of the measuring branches from the environment and from one another by means of thermal insulation 90. For the correct setting of the inlet pipe 10 of the measuring device in the direction of the flow of the wet steam, at least four measuring points 40 are carried out on the outer circumference of the inlet pipe 10 so that they lie in two mutually perpendicular planes. With the same static pressures in these measuring points 40, the measuring device is set in the correct direction.
The supply of wet steam into the measuring branches is dependent on the measuring conditions, e.g. B. with a common inlet pipe as in Fig. 4, or with a separate inlet of the wet steam as described in Fig. 5, carried out, or with a concentric arrangement of the measuring branches.
5 shows a measuring device 100 with separate inlet pipes 10 of the measuring branches 21 and 22, in which there are measuring points 31 and 32 for measuring the pressure po of the wet steam flowing through the measuring branches and measuring points 40 for measuring the pressure pOt of the wet steam flowing around the measuring device .
The meaning of the other reference symbols remains the same as was given in FIG. 4. This design is particularly advantageous from a technological point of view.
The flow rate in the measuring branches is regulated by regulating or throttle valves or by suction pumps.
In special cases, if z. If, for example, the measuring room is too small, the overheating sections of the measuring device are attached outside and only the entry points of the measuring device are accommodated in the measuring room itself, as shown in FIG. 6.
With the inventive method, the wet steam, the state of which is shown in the (is) diagram by the parameters pO ton xi of point A, is superheated in a measurement branch to the state with parameters pl, ti, for which point B in diagram (is) corresponds to an enthalpy increase A ii. In the further measurement branch, the wet steam is superheated up to parameters pu, t2 and is represented in the (i-s) diagram by point C with an enthalpy increase A i2.
In a known manner, the temperatures to, tl, t2 in the measuring points 61,62,71 and 72 with z. B. thermocouples or resistance thermometers and the pressures po, po ', pl and P2 measured in the entire flow cross-section, correct average results determined and thereby points B and C in the diagram z. B. (i-s) determined.
By measuring the heat supply in the measuring branches and their ratio, the enthalpy increases A ii and A i2 and in the z. B. (i-s) diagram that determines point A, which indicates the state of the wet steam with the relative humidity xi.
Since the isobars and isotherms are identical in the wet steam area, measuring the static pressure outside and in the inlet pipe of the measuring device can be replaced by measuring the temperature and vice versa.
The inventive method has the great advantage that it is more accurate than before, at any flow rate and at any moisture level of the wet steam, the moisture level can be determined. The measurement can be carried out continuously and also in the event of fluctuations in the moisture level of the wet steam, the measured variables being recorded and measuring the flow rates not necessary.
The measurement impulses can also be used according to their setting values for the automatic actuation of control organs. The measurement result is not affected by the influence of the heat transfer factor and the pressure losses as a result of the change in the aggregate state of the wet steam and errors associated with these factors. The method according to the invention has the significant advantage over previously known methods that it is highly sensitive, because even small changes in the steam moisture result in large changes in the values L i and Q, which means that amplifiers of the measuring pulses are superfluous.
The device according to the invention is structurally simple, has small dimensions and is suitable for continuous control of the wet steam state, for monitoring technological processes and enables remote control of the humidity in various devices and protection against impermissible humidity.
PATENT CLAIMS I.
