Pneumatically operating metering device for liquids According to the present invention, a pneumatically operating metering device for liquids is characterized in that a measuring vessel has at least two pipe connections, one of which is connected to the suction port of an air-operated injector, the outlet side of which is blocked by a controllable valve can, is connected, in such a way that .by opening or
When this shut-off valve closes, the measuring vessel can be placed under vacuum or under a compressed air cushion, while the second connection piece of the measuring vessel is connected to the storage vessel for the solution to be dosed through a line with a controllable valve as well as through a branch line with a controllable valve is connected to the insertion point for the liquid to be dosed, so that the measuring vessel can be filled to a preset volume with the injector working under the effect of vacuum,
and that the solution can be pressed into the desired insertion point under the action of the air cushion with the injector outlet blocked until the measuring vessel has been emptied to a preset volume.
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown in the drawing. They show: 1. Compressed air supply to the injector, 2. injector, 3. measuring vessel, 4. controllable valve at the outlet of the injector, 5. controllable valve in the suction line to the measuring vessel, 6. controllable valve in the branch line to the insertion point, 7. insertion point , B. pipeline in which the medium to be treated with the solution to be metered flows under pressure, z.
B. a pressurized water pipe whose water must be treated with sodium hypochlorite solution for the purpose of disinfection.
9. Electrode which controls the controllable valves to the position required for suction when the measuring vessel is emptied to the level of this electrode during dosing.
10. Electrode that controls the controllable valves to the position required for dosing when the measuring vessel is filled to the height of this electrode by suction.
11. Regulating valve for setting the desired suction and discharge speed.
12. Dosing nozzle of the measuring vessel, 13. Connection line between storage vessel for the solution and measuring vessel 14. Branch line as a connecting line between measuring vessel and solution introduction point, 15. Storage vessel.
If the injector outlet valve 4 is opened, the air flowing from the supply line 1 into the injector 2 acts as a vacuum that evacuates the measuring vessel 3 via the setting valve 11, so that under the effect of vacuum from the storage vessel through the line 13 the opened valve 5 penetrates through the measuring vessel nozzle 12 the solution to be dosed into the measuring vessel until the electrode 10 is wetted.
The electrode 10 causes the controllable valves 4 and 5 to close and the controllable valve 6 built into the branch line to the insertion point to open.
The compressed air flowing through the supply line 1 into the injector 2 accumulates and enters the measuring vessel 3 through the regulating valve 11, in which a compressed air cushion is built up.
As a result, the solution to be dosed is pressed out of the measuring vessel connector 12 through the valve 6 built into the branch line to the insertion point 14 to the insertion point 7. This emptying process is ended as soon as the electrode 9 is no longer wetted and this causes the metering valve 6 to close and the injector valve 4 and the suction valve 5 to open.
The metering device described operates with a constant delivery rate, which is dependent on the frequency of the change between suction and discharge and therefore on the setting of the adjusting valve 11. Depending on the technical requirements made, the same device can also be used, depending on e.g. B. a water flow to dose a proportional addition of solution.
The measuring vessel can be filled by opening the injector outlet valve 4 and the suction valve 5 until the electrode 10 is wetted, after which the valves are closed so that an air cushion builds up in the measuring vessel 3 when the outlet 6 is blocked .
The metering device is then in readiness position for ejection into the insertion point, but this only happens when the controllable valve 6 is opened, which z. B. after passing a certain amount of water what can happen through a built-in line 8 contact water meter.
As soon as the measuring vessel 3 is emptied to the level of the electrode 9 in this way, the electrode 9 initiates the refilling of the measuring vessel, after which the metering device again remains in a filled standby state until another water meter pulse is triggered again dosed addition triggers. In this way, after certain amounts of water have passed through, the required additional amount can be metered in regularly, proportional to the amount of water flowing through.
Furthermore, the dosing procedure can be changed and adjusted by arranging the electrodes 9 and 10 in the measuring vessel so that they can be moved.
Instead of the electrodes listed in the example, other controls can of course be arranged, for. B. the measuring vessel can be designed as a glass tube, with 1 float following the suction and discharge movements. This float can be used to block or enable light barriers that have the same purpose as the electrodes in the example.
If the measuring vessel dimensions are sufficiently large, the measuring vessel can be equipped with a float, whose movements are used to control the controllable valves 4, 5 and 6 with inductive proximity switches or magnetic transmission.
Finally, instead of the manually operated regulating valve 11, a controllable valve can be installed whose degree of opening can function as a desired physical variable, e.g. B. is a water flow.
As a result, the frequency of the suction and discharge step is automatically regulated as a function of this physical variable, with which a stepless regulation of the dosing rate can be achieved as a function of this physical variable.
