Device for transferring packaging containers into the conveyor cups of one of the filling and closing devices of a machine for manufacturing, filling and closing the
Packaging container assigned conveyor
The invention relates to a device on machines for producing, filling and closing packaging containers for transferring the open packaging containers produced on horizontal folding mandrels into the conveyor cups of a conveyor device assigned to the filling and closing device of the machine, consisting of a conveyor device gradually moving around one to the horizontal at a certain angle inclined axis revolving conveyor star on which two-sided open receptacles for the packaging containers are provided, inclined at a certain angle,
which, with the step-by-step rotation of the conveyor star, first achieve axial alignment with one of the folding mandrels of the machine in order to receive a container from the same, and after one or more subsequent rotary steps of the conveyor wheel for alignment with one of the conveyor cups of the conveyor of the filling and closing device the machine into which the containers are pushed out of the relevant receptacles.
In a known device of this type, the packaging containers transferred from the horizontal to the vertical position pass with their heads in a horizontal plane which is higher than the plane of the folding mandrel. However, since in packaging machines the working level for the packaging containers should be in the direct field of vision of the operator for easy monitoring, the known device has the disadvantage that either only the mandrel level or the so-called closing level can be at the preferred altitude.
In order to avoid this disadvantage, the device according to the invention is characterized in that the receiving cups of the conveyor star are arranged on the conveyor star so that they are inclined relative to the plane of rotation of the conveyor star, corresponding to half the over angle between the folding mandrel and the conveyor cup.
In order to be able to rotate the packaging containers at the same time by a certain angular amount around their longitudinal axis during their transfer from the folding mandrels to the conveyor of the filling and closing device, the receiving cups, which are rotatably held on the conveyor star, can be connected to the conveyor star via an articulated gear their rotary motion is derived from the rotary motion of the star conveyor.
The invention is explained below using an exemplary embodiment and schematic drawings.
It shows
Fig. 1 shows the conveyor by itself in a front view,
2 shows the arrangement of the device according to FIG. 1 in side view, and
FIG. 3 shows a section through one of the receiving cups of the conveyor device according to line III-III in FIG. 1.
The present exemplary embodiment of the invention serves to effect the transfer of the packaging containers produced on the mandrels of a mandrel wheel, indicated at 1, into the conveyor cups 2 of a conveyor device on a machine known per se for producing, filling and closing packaging containers, which successively feeds the packaging containers to a filling and closing device (not shown). This conveying device, which essentially consists of an endless conveyor chain 3 that gradually revolves around horizontal axes, is arranged with respect to the mandrel wheel 1 so that the upper edges of the conveyor cups 2 are at the same height as the mandrels of the mandrel wheel on its upper horizontal straight line 1.
The deflection radius and the division of the conveyor chain 3 is selected so that at each standstill a conveyor cup 2 for taking over a packaging container is in a position inclined by 45 "to the vertical and the horizontal (FIG. 2).
Between this station of the conveyor chain 3 and the top station of the mandrel wheel 1, a conveyor wheel 4 is rotatably arranged, the center of which is also in the plane of the mandrel wheel 1 and has four receptacle cups 5 open on both sides for the packaging containers. The plane of rotation of the conveyor wheel 4 lies on the bisector of the two longitudinal axes of the transfer station of the mandrel wheel 1 and the transfer station of the conveyor chain 3, so that its axis of rotation is inclined by 22.50 to the horizontal. The four receiving cups 5 are arranged on the conveyor wheel 4 in such a way that their longitudinal axes are inclined by 67.5 ″ to the plane of the conveyor wheel 4 and lie in planes which run parallel to the axis of rotation of the conveyor wheel 4.
In this way it is achieved that with every standstill of the conveyor wheel 4, which is rotated step by step around one station, a receiving cup 5 is in the axial extension of the horizontal axis of the mandrel of the mandrel wheel 1 available at the transfer station and the opposing receiving cup is in the axial extension of the at the over - Pick-up station waiting conveyor cup 2 of the conveyor chain 3 are located.
In this position, a packaging container manufactured on the mandrel wheel 1 is pushed in a suitable manner into the corresponding receiving container 5 of the conveyor wheel 4, which has guide rails 6 for better guidance and holding of the packaging container. After two turning steps of 90 in each case, during which the packaging container is supported on the floor by means of a stationary, curved rail 7, this receiving cup 5 comes into congruence with a conveyor cup 2 of the conveyor chain 3, which is ready to receive the packaging container that is carried along the packaging container then pushed into the waiting conveyor cup 2.
So that the packaging containers are also rotated 90 "around their longitudinal axis during their transfer from the mandrel wheel 1 to the cups 2 of the conveyor chain 3, the receiving cups 5 are rotatably mounted about their longitudinal axis in the conveyor wheel 4. To control this rotary movement, the receiving cups 5 are articulated with links 9, which in turn are articulated to a common, fixed pivot point 10. This pivot point 10 is eccentric to the axis of rotation of the conveyor wheel 4, so that when the conveyor wheel 4 rotates, the position of the hinge points 11 on the receptacle cups 5 in relation to the conveyor wheel 4 is inevitably changed, whereby the said rotational movement of the receiving cup 5 is achieved. The eccentricity of the pivot point 10 is selected as a function of the rotary movement to be carried out.
Since the individual movements of the conveyor wheel 4, receiving cups 5 and links 9 lie in different, intersecting planes, the hinge points 11 of the links 9 on the receiving cups 5 and on the pivot point 10 are designed as ball joints.
The incremental rotation of the feed wheel 4 by 90 "is transmitted via a step-wise rotated machine shaft 13, a bevel gear 14, 15 and a sleeve 16 to which the feed wheel 4 is flanged. The sleeve 16 is firmly connected to the bevel gear 15 and on a is mounted on a stationary axle 17, which is fastened in the housing 18 of the bevel gear 14, 15. The pivot point 10 for the link 9 is also attached to the axle 17 by means of an arm 19.
If it is desired not to rotate the packaging containers about their longitudinal axis, but to leave them immobile, the links 9 are released and the receiving cups 5 are secured against rotation by means of fixing screws on the conveyor wheel 4.
The invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment, so that with a different arrangement of the transfer and transfer station, the conveyor wheel can be designed and assigned accordingly in an adapted manner.
