Description
Fig. 3 zeigt z.
Additional device on a length measuring device provided with measuring legs
Ordinary measuring devices with measuring legs are used to precisely measure the distance between two parallel surfaces. especially slide gauges. It is also known to make special measurements such as e.g. B. the depth of bores, grooves, undercuts or paragraphs and the like to equip these measuring devices with at least one stylus attached by means of a holder to one leg end of the measuring device.
The subject of the present invention is an additional device of this type which is characterized by a particularly simple structure and simple operation. It is characterized in that one and the same screw connection is used to connect the stylus to the holder and the holder to the measuring arm. In order to attach the device to the measuring device or to remove it, only one snout has to be operated. The manufacture of the device is also simplified in that only one pair of threads has to be cut.
In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown. Show it :
1 is a view of a caliper, equipped with a first additional device according to the invention,
2 shows the push-on nut of the first embodiment with the stylus screwed in in a side view,
Fig. 3 shows a stylus of a certain length in view and
4 and 5 show a second additional device according to the invention in section parallel or at right angles to the plane of the measuring leg.
According to FIGS. 1-3, a nut 1 serving as a holder is provided with a bore 2 which has the same radius as the rounded surface 3 of the end of the measuring arm 4 of the caliper 5.
The push-on nut 1 is pushed onto the end part 3 of the measuring leg 4 and clamped with the stylus 7, which has a thread 6 screwed to the push-on nut 1 at the end. The stylus 7 has a measuring mandrel 8 on the other end. The stylus 7 is therefore at the same time a clamping element and a measuring element. Both end faces of the pin are ground exactly parallel in order to obtain a certain measuring length. The screw connection of the thread 6 with the push-on nut 1 also serves to connect the stylus to the push-on nut 1, which serves as a holder, and to connect the same to the measuring arm 4.
The additional device therefore includes at least one push-on nut 1 and any associated number of interchangeable styli 7, each of which has a certain length and a threaded part 6 that always matches the push-on nut, and a mandrel 8 of any shape.
The styli are arranged in sets of two, for example. From sentence to sentence we change the length A of the stylus and / or the shape of the mandrel. However, the length A always has a precisely determined full dimension, which must be subtracted from the measurement result. Fig. 3 shows e.g. B. a stylus with a longer mandrel 8.
According to FIG. 1, both the fixed and movable measuring legs 4 and 9 are equipped with an additional device. This is appropriate when taking measurements in places that are difficult to access on both sides. Depending on requirements, one or the other additional device can be omitted.
With minor changes, the additional device can be used to measure special inner distances, for which purpose the stylus pins are screwed into the push-on nut in the opposite direction.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the holder has a cylinder 12 which is provided on one side with a slot 13, the width of which slightly exceeds the thickness of the ends of the measuring elements 4 and 9, so that the measuring arm according to FIG 4 can turn inserted into the slot 13 setilich. The inner end of the slot 13 is rounded to match the surface 3 of the measuring legs.
The slotted end of the cylinder 12 is provided with an external thread for receiving a union nut 14. The union nut has a central bore 15 through which the stylus protrudes. The end of the stylus located in the holder is provided with a transverse rod 16 acting as a guide member, the thickness of which approximately corresponds to the width of the slot 13, so that the rod 16 lies in the slot with little play and cannot rotate. The union nut is provided on the inner edge with a turning 17 into which the rod 16 engages with little play and thus remains stuck in the union nut, but can be removed from the union nut by pressing against the measuring end of the stylus 8. The rod 16 is ground flat on its end face 18.
This flat stop surface is divided into two smaller individual surfaces by a recess 19.
