Method and device for determining the collective error from tooth direction, tooth shape, tooth flank waviness, tooth flank surface quality
Axial pitch and mesh pitch test on straight and helical teeth
Involute gears
The invention relates to a method and a device for determining the collective error from tooth direction, tooth shape, tooth flank waviness, tooth flank surface quality, axis pitch and mesh pitch test on straight and serrated involute gears, in particular large gears Diameter. In the limit of the straight-toothed gear, the helix angle is zero,
which is why there is no need to check the tooth shape and pitch.
Methods and devices for checking the tooth profile and the tooth direction are already known which work with fixed base circular disks and a rolling ruler. During the test, the rolling ruler is pressed against the base circular disk that is clamped together with the gearwheel. In the case of perfect rolling, a tip-shaped measuring probe describes the exact involute. The deflections of the probe sliding along the tooth profile are recorded in the form of a diagram and allow an interpretation of the tooth profile status and the tooth direction.
A disadvantage of these devices is that practically every gear wheel has a special base circle disk, since a corresponding assortment of such base circle disks must be kept ready for testing gear wheels and must be replaced during the test. With large diameters it does; the exact manufacture of these basic crocodile disks is very difficult.
Devices are also known which enable testing with one or a small number of rolling disks and a rolling ruler. With these devices, when the base circle diameter of the test object changes, the measuring probe movement is adapted to the ratio of the roller disk diameter to the base circle diameter of the test object via a lever transmission, and the test is then carried out.
This known device is, on the one hand, very expensive due to the high manufacturing cost and, on the other hand, prone to failure due to the complicated translation, so that measurement errors that cannot be recognized as such can occur. In addition, these devices are only for. Testing of gears that do not have a large dead weight can be used, as with this type of test the freedom from slippage between the roller disc and roller ruler must be ensured.
Due to the weight of the test items or the increasing measurement inaccuracy, it is not possible to test large gears. Furthermore, this test method can only be carried out on special measuring machines. For the test, the gear wheel must therefore be removed from the processing machine and inserted into the measuring machine. With large and correspondingly heavy gears, this method naturally leads to difficulties.
Further known devices use a measuring wedge with a width of about 50 mm, which is placed on the tooth flank to be tested, for checking the tooth direction on gears. However, since the tooth flank is relatively unsuitable, the measuring wedge is placed in any direction determined by the surface properties of the tooth flank, which only rarely corresponds to the actual tooth direction.
In addition to this non-reproducible measurement result, this device also does not provide any information about the nature of the tooth flank, such as tooth shape, tooth flank waviness, tooth flank surface quality.
To ! According to the invention, this object is achieved in that a rack-like and transversely movable probe is pivoted into the normal section plane to the flank lines and moved along the straight drawing lines of the stationary gearwheel that run over the tooth flank, and its in the normal section plane and evasive movement tangential to the pitch circle is electrically measured and displayed.
In doing so, it is possible to dispense with basic circular disks and rolling rulers, or rolling disks and associated rolling rulers. It is also possible to refrain from inserting the test item into an appropriate measuring machine.
The scanning along the generating lines of the tooth flanks therefore takes place along the lines in which the gear and mating gear are in mesh. Since these generation lines run from the tooth root to the tooth tip, or vice versa, in the case of bevel-toothed wheels, the generation line can be used with a large helix angle.
and a small module over several tooth pitches. In order to be able to follow this generation line further, the method according to the invention is expediently extended by the fact that the probe, after reaching the tip or root circle, is shifted away from the gearwheel perpendicular to its evasive movement on the generation line scanned by it until it disengages from the tooth flank , is then offset tangentially or vertically to the gear wheel by at least one pitch and then applied to the following tooth flank.
The field of engagement of the wheel and mating wheel or of the wheel and rack is exactly one above the other in the case of helically toothed wheels. The meshing line must therefore reappear on the following tooth flank, tangentially or axially displaced by one tooth split, if a faultless contact pattern is to be achieved on all tooth flanks that are in contact. To check the generation lines in the field of engagement or to check the tooth pitch, mesh pitch or axis pitch, the theoretically pre-calculated pitch, namely the force pitch or the pitch, can be used.
Mesh pitch or the axial pitch, set on the measuring device and the test continued on the following tooth flank. It can be advantageous, especially for examining the tooth flank surface quality, to scan the product line of the tooth surface in a punctiform manner, with the probe, which is designed in the shape of the reference profile (rack), being sharpened like a knife along its flank.
With such a design, the measuring probe can touch the generation line at points, the point of contact migrating during the measuring process along the generation line on the tooth flank and along the sharpened flank of the measuring probe.
To incline the probe into the specified tooth, i. H. Pivot into the plane of the normal section through the flank lines to further the generation lines. along, and also to be able to carry out its longitudinal movements when checking the meshing pitch and axis pitch Z is at. the device according to the invention for carrying out the method of the measuring probe resiliently accommodated in a measuring base, the guide of which is arranged in a turntable which can be rotated about a horizontal axis and which is mounted in a frame.
With this device, the measuring slide can advantageously be displaced in its guide by means of a threaded spindle that can be driven by hand or by an electric motor.
In order to achieve reproducible results and to keep measurement errors as small as possible, it has proven to be useful that the rotary table carrying the measuring probe can be displaced in the horizontal and vertical directions and pivoted about an axis running parallel to the axis of rotation of the gearwheel, and that guides are provided for all rotary movements and displacement movements of the turntable carrying the measuring probe, and that at least the angle of rotation of the turntable around its horizontal axis and the movements of the turntable in the horizontal and vertical directions can be measured with high accuracy.
To measure the angle of rotation and the displacements of the turntable, end gauges and Fainmessuhnen that work together and are arranged in the frame are particularly advantageous, through which the measuring pressure exerted on the end mass and its abutments can be determined.
Of course, the position of the probe can also be controlled by means of optical devices or similar known devices, but without the high accuracy that can be achieved by means of gauge blocks and dial gauges.
The method according to the invention is then explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment of the device for carrying out the method with reference to the accompanying drawing, for example.
Show it :
1 shows a diagrammatic overall representation of the device according to the invention,
Fig. 2 shows a single tooth. a helical involute gear with ore suction lines and measuring probes,
3 shows, in the same representation as in FIG. 2, an individual tooth with different generation lines,
4 'shows a detail from the reference profile of the face toothing (rack) and
5 shows the diagrammatic representation of the measuring probe with beveled front edges.
On a base frame 1, the rotating bracket 2 is horizontally and vertically displaceable angeond net. A threaded spindle 5 with a handwheel 6 is used to move the turntable carrier in the horizontal direction. A dial indicator carrier 3 is attached to the base frame and carries a dial gauge and a gauge block 4 to determine the horizontal displacement of the turntable. In the same orphan, not shown in the drawing, the turntable carrier can be displaced vertically and a turntable 19 housed in it can be pivoted about an axis 19a which runs parallel to the axis of rotation of the gearwheel 20. The magnitudes of these movements can also be precisely determined with a gauge and a meter.
The turntable 19 can be rotated by means of a hand wheel 10 via a worm 9 and a worm wheel 11. The angle of rotation ss is also read here by means of a gauge block 7 and a resilient intermediate piece 8 on a dial gauge. The probe 12 is accommodated in a measuring slide 15 which can be shifted in guide tracks 13, 14 by means of a thread spin 17. The wind spindle 17 is rotated by an electric motor 18.
The test of a gearwheel is carried out by the described device according to the method according to the invention in the following way:
A corresponding to the engagement angle, z. B. 20 or 15 beveled probe 12 or a probe with a cutting edge whose pressure angle = 0 is inserted into the measuring slide 15 in a springy manner.
The prescribed theoretically correct tooth slope is set by rotating the turntable about its horizontal axis using a gauge block 7 and a dial gauge or using a pitch circle device or the like. The stationary treadmill is now controlled by the measuring probe by horizontal displacement of the turntable. approached so that the probe touches a prominent point on the tooth flank. For example, the test can begin at the intersection of the root circle of the tooth flank of the gear to be tested.
All the features of interest are now displayed when the measuring slide 15 is moved along the straight ores. The tracing line, if necessary after displacement of the measuring probe 12 by one or more divisions, circular divisions, engagement divisions or axis divisions, is sensed by the evasive movement of the measuring probe occurring tangentially to the pitch circle and preferably measured or displayed electrically.
Errors in the tooth direction, in the tooth shape as well as in the meshing pitch and axial pitch are noticeable, and the waviness of the tooth flanks and their surface quality can also be determined. If the measurement result is recorded, a straight line should theoretically be produced when the probe is guided along a generation line. Due to the waviness or roughness of the tooth line surface, the recording will fluctuate around this theoretical straight line. A tooth direction error (skew error) will become noticeable in that the recording forms amen angle with the theoretical straight line.
In the case of division errors, the start of the new recording line is laterally offset from the previous one. Errors m in the tooth form will also become noticeable in that the recording normally deviates from the theoretical straight line in a slight curve.
Since the test device described can be built relatively light and small, it is particularly suitable for attachment to gear processing machines; the test device can also be used to test the gear to be manufactured during processing. Furthermore, the device can be made very reliable thanks to the few moving components that are used, and it can be operated very easily through the use of gauge blocks.
In addition, the device can be used universally for small, medium and large gears without extensive modification work having to be carried out.
Any adaptation to the test object is limited to exchanging the probe, which has to be adapted to the respective pressure angle. However, you can also use the same measuring probe for all gears if you give it the contact angle 0 and move the measuring device sideways by an amount that can be calculated from the manufacturing data of the gear.
By means of these measures described, the measuring disks and thus the cost of testing the gearwheels are significantly reduced while at the same time increasing the measuring accuracy.
To carry out a test, the theoretically correct slope is taken from the manufacturing data of the test item and set by means of the handwheel 10 and checked by the gauge block # 7 in connection with the intermediate piece 8 and the relevant dial gauge. After this setting has been made, the turntable is shifted horizontally by turning the handwheel 6, if necessary also shifted vertically and rotated until the measuring probe 12 rests against the tooth flank to be tested of the gearwheel 20 attached in front of the device.
The horizontal displacement of the measuring device is controlled by the gauge block 4, which works together with the relevant dial gauge attached to the dial gauge carrier 3. Of course, the tooth pitch and pitch as well as the tooth shape of unknown gears can be determined in the same way by performing the measuring process in the reverse order, i.e. taking the pitch of the tooth as the starting point of the measurement, which is followed by the determination of the tooth pitch.
To determine the tooth pitch and also to track a certain generation line across several tooth pitches. can, the measuring probe 12 is so far in by means of a setting wheel 16! the measuring slide can be displaced so that the entire turntable can be displaced horizontally, without touching the measuring probe 12 with the gear wheel 20, up to the next tooth flank. After reaching. With this tooth flank, the measuring probe 12 is brought into its test position again by the setting wheel 16. The across to. Deviations from the theoretical straight line running in its direction of displacement are transmitted by the measuring probe, preferably electrically, to appropriate display devices through its evasive movement.
To clarify the measuring process, FIG. 2 schematically shows two positions of the meter 12 along a generation line 21 shown in dashed lines. A group of such generation lines 21 is drawn in FIG. 3 on the flank of a tooth, from which it can be easily seen that the entire tooth flank runs through horizontal displacement of the measuring probe 12 and scanning along such generation lines 21 for toothing errors by means of the device according to the invention according to the method according to the invention and thus possible errors can be found with certainty.
4 shows a section of the reference profile of the face toothing (toothed rack 22), in which the measuring probe 12 is drawn in with a large border.
Finally, FIG. 5 shows the same measuring probe 12, but with a knife-like design. sharpened flank.
In some cases it can be useful not to move the measuring slide horizontally in order to continue the generation line 21 on the flank of the adjacent tooth, but to retract the measuring probe 12 in its inclined guide and then move the entire measuring probe back with the measuring probe withdrawn #Slide parallel to the axis of rotation of the gear 20 by an axis pitch that can easily be determined from the manufacturing data of the test piece. Also. in this way one achieves the continuation of the generation line 21 on the flank of the neighboring tooth.
The test of the gear 20 can be carried out during the machining on the tooth flank grinding machine if a measuring probe 12 with the engagement angle 0 is used and the test is carried out on a tooth that is offset from the tooth just machined and has already been machined.
