Additional patent to main patent no. 397 424 Press for extracting juice from fruit, grapes and similar pressed material The main patent relates to a press for extracting juice from fruit, grapes and similar pressed material, with a lying, rotatable pressing cylinder and a pressure plate and a counter pressure plate, between which plates flexible tension members are stretched, which consist of a flexible core and a juice-permeable casing that filters the press juice.
In the case of the press according to the main patent, only the shell, but not the core of the pulling elements, is attached to the pressure plate and the counter pressure plate, the ends of the core extending freely into openings in attachment plates. Practice shows that with this solution the pulling elements are still subject to a relatively large amount of wear caused by tensile forces acting on the casing of the pulling elements. The tensile stress occurs on the one hand during the pressing process, in that when the distance between the pressure and counter pressure plates is reduced, the tension members are placed across the press space, which means that the casing of the tension member is locally stressed at kinks.
On the other hand, the tension members are also subjected to tension when loosening the firmly jointed press cake.
Such damage is particularly disadvantageous in that the core of the pulling organs is exposed at the tear point and the pressed juice is unfiltered at this point, that is, mixed with mash, can reach the juice collection areas and leads to undesired contamination of the juice obtained .
To remedy this disadvantage, both the shell and the flexible core are firmly anchored with their ends on the pressure and on the counter pressure plate in the press according to the present additional invention, and the extended length of the shell is greater than that of the flexible core. According to a preferred embodiment, a core consisting of a plastic profile has a core in its interior which consists of a material that is essentially tear-resistant and cannot be changed in length. The aim is to achieve the tensile strength of the core who is still subject to tensile stress with the training according to the invention.
Advantageously, filters are also used at the transition point of the juice from the train to the juice collecting chambers. If, as a result of aging, the casing of the pulling organs should tear, this additional filter prevents the mash from escaping to the juice collecting areas, which in any case ensures that the pressed juice is safe from contamination.
Further details emerge from the following description, with which two exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing be written. In the drawing: Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal vertical section through a press, shown only schematically, Fig. 2 on a larger scale a section through the anchoring of a tension member on a fastening plate, Fig. 3 in the same representation as Fig. 2 a variant of the anchoring of a Pulling organ.
The press shown in FIG. 1 has a press cylinder 1 which is composed of a cylinder jacket 2 and a counter-pressure plate 3 closing off the cylinder jacket 2 at the end.
Within the press cylinder 1, a pressure plate 4 is movable in the axial direction. For this purpose, the pressure plate 4 is firmly connected to a piston rod which: carries a pressure piston, not shown, which runs in a pressure cylinder.
The counter-pressure plate 3 and the pressure plate 4 are each preceded by a fastening plate 6 and spaced from the counter-pressure plate 3 and the pressure plate 4 by supports 7 in such a way that between the counter-pressure plate 3 or pressure plate 4 and the associated fastening plates 6, juice collecting spaces 8 are separated from the pressing chamber are formed. From these juice collecting spaces 8, drains 9 lead to the juice storage location (not shown).
In the press room 6 tension members 10 are tensioned between the two fastening plates, of which only five are drawn for the sake of clarity.
Two embodiments of the anchoring of the water tension members 10 on the two mounting plates 6 are shown in FIGS.
A core 11 and a sheath 12 in their entirety form a tension member 10. The core 11 is a wedge-shaped plastic profile and the sheath 12 is a sap-permeable fabric, which is preferably also a plastic product.
In its interior, the core 11 is reinforced by a core which is a wire rope 13, for example. The ends of the sheath 12 are reinforced by a socket 14. This mount 14 consists of a deformable material, which can be rubber vulcanized onto the shell 12, for example.
For fastening, the socket 14 is pressed against the inner wall of a connecting piece 16 by a clamping ring 15 that can be tensioned from the inside, with the result that the socket is held in particular on a rounded edge portion 17. A perforated plate 19 lying on a shoulder 18 is inserted into the bore of the connecting piece 16, which forms a filter and is held firmly in the connecting piece 16 by a locking ring 21 with the interposition of a disk 20.
The disc 20 is provided with openings 22 for the juice discharge, and a head piece 23 is cast onto the end of the wire rope 13 which passes through a central bore of the perforated plate 19 and the disc 20 to hold the core 11. The connection piece 16 is supported on the pressure plate 4 or counter pressure plate 3 and has recesses 24 for the passage of the juice.
The fold-like arrangement of the sheath 12 on the core 11, which can be seen in the drawing, results from the fact that the extended length of the sheath 12 is selected to be greater than that of the core 11. So that this desired arrangement of the sheath 12 is evenly maintained during the pressing process, the sheath 12, as can be seen from FIG. 1, is fixed at certain intervals by means of clamps 25 on the core 11, whereby the sheath 12 is attached to these fastening points the core 11 can not move longitudinally.
In the further exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 3, a perforated pipe section 26, which acts as a filter and is provided with an intermediate wall 27 in its bore, is inserted into the bore of the connection piece 16a. A cap 28 is used to anchor a conical head piece 23 a, which is firmly cast on the wire rope 13. The cap has 28 channels 29 for the juice drainage.
The sheath 12 is fastened to a groove 30 of the connecting piece 16a by means of an O-ring 31. In the press shown schematically in Fig. 1, the cylinder jacket 2 of the press cylinder 1 is liquid-tight. During the pressing process, the juice drains essentially in the horizontal direction and exclusively to the two end-side collecting spaces 8 from which the juice is passed on via the drains 9.
The pulling elements 10 fulfill the task of juice canalization during pressing, with the juice penetrating with a filtering effect through the casing 12, which is preferably made of a fabric, and along the longitudinal grooves of the core 11 designed as a star wedge profile through the bore of the connecting piece 16 or 16a flows to the two lateral juice collecting rooms 8.
When the press cake is loosened after each pressing, the tension members 10, which are placed across the pressing chamber during pressing, tighten. The resistance resulting from the firmly attached press cake, which opposes the tightening of the tension members, requires a relatively large tensile force . In the described design of the tension members, however, it is no longer the shell, but only the core that is subjected to tension.
This advantage is achieved on the one hand by the firm anchoring of the core on the pressure or counter-pressure plate, on the other hand by the difference in length between the core and shell.
