Fig. 2 ist ein Teilschnitt einer abgeänderten Ausführungsform.
Method for operating presses, in particular injection molding presses, and press for carrying out the method
The invention relates to a method for operating presses, in particular injection molding presses, in which a movable mold half is advanced against a fixed mold half and held under great closing pressure.
It is known in such presses to generate both the infeed movement and the closing pressure either hydraulically or purely mechanically. The hydraulic actuation has the advantage of a large closing path and easier adjustment of the shape; however, it works uneconomically because it requires a large amount of liquid, large amounts of energy and large pumps and investment costs. In the case of purely mechanical actuation, the path is limited in the tool, making it difficult to produce the shape. It is also already known to use mechanical drive elements such. B. toggle lever, hydraulic drive means to act, the mechanical drive members engage directly on the movable closing plate.
In contrast to these known methods for operating presses, in particular injection molding presses, according to the method according to the invention, the infeed movement of the movable mold half against the fixed mold half takes place mechanically, and the required closing pressure is generated hydraulically.
The device for carrying out the method according to the invention is characterized by mechanical drive elements for generating the infeed movement and by hydraulic drive means built in between the mechanical drive elements and the movable mold half for generating the closing pressure.
In this way, a considerable simplification in the manufacture of the presses is achieved and therefore great economic efficiency and low manufacturing costs are achieved. Furthermore, the energy requirement is low and the investment costs are low. In injection molding machines it is very easy to install the mold, and these presses therefore only require a fraction of the set-up costs compared to the known presses. The mechanical infeed movement makes it easy to install tools for long and short press bodies.
The drawing shows two exemplary embodiments of a press for carrying out the method according to the invention.
1 shows a schematic longitudinal section through part of an injection molding press, and
Fig. 2 is a partial section of a modified embodiment.
In Fig. 1, 1 designates a fixed plate resting on the machine bed, not shown, which receives the fixed mold half. A plate 3 receiving the movable mold half is guided on two or more guide rods 2. A hydraulic piston 4, which is movable in a cylinder 5 and is sealed against the cylinder wall by a sealing ring 6, is fastened to the plate 3. A pressure fluid can be passed through a duct 7 into the cavity of the cylinder 5. On the side of the cylinder 5 opposite the plate 3, a threaded spindle 9 is rotatably mounted in a cover 8. This spindle 9 is supported movably on all sides by means of a spherical surface on the cylinder, so that the mold plate can compensate for any inaccuracies in the shape.
The threaded spindle 9 runs in a nut 10 which is attached to a fixed plate 11 and it is connected to a drive, not shown, for. B. a motor connected.
During operation, the movable platen 3 must first be advanced against the fixed platen 1 in order to close the two mold halves. For this purpose, the threaded spindle 9 is rotated accordingly, so that the plate 3 is moved relatively quickly against the fixed plate 1 until the mold halves lie on top of one another. Pressure fluid is now passed through the channel 7 into the cavity of the cylinder 5 and a correspondingly high closing pressure is thereby exerted on the movable plate 3 or the movable mold half. This hydraulic closing pressure can take place with a time delay in relation to the initiation of the injection molding process. After the pressing or injection molding process, the movable plate 3 is moved back into the position shown by turning the threaded spindle 9 backwards.
The speed of the feed movement can be changed by using a pole-changing drive motor for moving the threaded spindle 9. Instead of the threaded spindle 9 being rotatable and the nut 10 fixed, the threaded spindle 9 and the nut 10 can also be rotatably arranged, the nut 10 then being driven.
The embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs from the embodiment according to FIG. 1 in that a pressure cell 12 is attached to the movable plate 2 by means of screws 13 with play, so that the pressure cell 12 can execute a limited movement relative to the plate 3. In the pressure cell 12, a membrane 14 is attached to the edge and pressure fluid can be passed into the pressure cell 12 through a channel 15. A threaded spindle 9 is mounted on the pressure cell 12 by means of a cover 8 in the same way as in the example according to FIG. 1. To generate the closing pressure, after the infeed movement of the plate 3, pressurized fluid is fed into the pressure cell so that the membrane 14 exerts the desired pressure.
In both embodiments according to FIGS. 1 and 2, other hydraulic drive organs could be provided instead of the threaded spindle 9 and nut 10, for. B. those which have a toggle lever.
