39 in Verbindung.
Leerlauf</I> Welle 20 treibt den Planetenradträger 36 an. <I>2.
Infinitely variable hydrostatic-mechanical transmission, in particular for vehicles The invention relates to an infinitely variable hydrostatic-mechanical transmission, in particular for motor vehicles, the hydrostatic transmission part of which consists of an adjustable oil pump and a controllable oil pump and a controllable ohnotor and the mechanical part of which has a planetary gear, the planetary gear carrier with the drive shaft, the oil pump with the sun gear and the oil motor with the ring wheel is in drive connection.
There are already hydrostatic-mechanical Ge transmissions of this type known in which a power division is achieved by one or more epicyclic gears. In most of these transmissions, however, the hydrostatic part is constantly or at least predominantly in operation, which has a very detrimental effect on the efficiency of the transmission. Another undesirable property is the regeneration of hydraulic work, e.g. B. by the fact that, conversely, the oil motor gives work to the oil pump. This leads to difficulties in controlling the power flow and the control of the system.
In another known hydrostatic-mechanical transmission, in which power is divided by one or more epicyclic gears, the pump connected to the sun gear of the epicyclic gear can be braked. It is thus achieved that one drive branch is switched off and the power is then transferred to the other drive branch. Even with this known transmission, the oil motor cannot be decoupled, so that it transfers work to the oil pump.
Furthermore, the subject of an older Pa tentes is a hydrostatic-mechanical transmission in which one of two oil motors can be coupled and uncoupled to the output shaft. In the known transmission, the oil pump cannot be braked or locked.
The invention is characterized in that the oil pump and the sun gear connected to it can be braked and locked by means of a friction brake, and a switchable clutch is arranged between the oil motor and the output shaft.
The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a hydrostatic-mechanical transmission in which hydrostatic power is only transmitted in certain driving conditions, essentially for acceleration and for mountaineering.
Embodiments of the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawings. 1 shows a longitudinal section through a transmission according to the invention, FIGS. 2 and 3 show two transmissions with various possible arrangements for the individual elements, FIGS. 4 and 5 show two transmissions for motors installed transversely to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
An oil pump 24, an oil motor 26 and a three-shaft epicyclic gearbox 21 are arranged in a housing 35. The planetary gear carrier 36 of the epicyclic gear is connected via a shaft 20 to a drive motor of a motor vehicle not provided. The outer or ring gear 22 of the epicyclic gear is connected to a hollow shaft 29 through which the drive shaft 20 is guided. The hollow shaft 29 carries at its end facing away from the outer gear with a ring gear 31 of a differential gear in engagement pinion 30. The Son nenrad 23 of the epicyclic gear is coupled to the oil pump 24.
The oil motor 26 is arranged coaxially to the hollow shaft 29 and is coupled to it. Swash plates 27 and 25 for controlling the piston strokes of the oil motor 26 and oil pump 24 are connected to servo means 38 and 39 which change their angle of attack. On the input side of the housing 35 is an auxiliary oil pump 33, for. B. a toothed wheel pump which is driven by the shaft 20, flanged. A separating clutch 37 is provided behind the auxiliary oil pump in the drive shaft 20 in order to be able to interrupt the power flow between the drive motor and the transmission.
The oil motor 26 is coupled to the hollow shaft 29 by a coupling 28. Appropriately, this clutch is designed as a mechanically, hydraulically, electro-magnetically or the like switchable friction clutch. In the disengaged state, the clutch 28 acts as a freewheel.
The oil pump 24 is driven by the sun gear 23 directly or via a reduction gear designed as a countershaft 41 or epicyclic gear. The oil pump 24 and thus the sun wheel 23 can be braked and blocked by means of a mechanically, hydraulically or electrically switchable brake 34.
The transmission works in the individual vehicle states as follows <I> 1. Idle shaft 20 drives planetary gear carrier 36. Since the resistance of the outer gear 22 is greater than that of the sun gear 23, the pump 24 is driven. The swash plate 25 is not engaged, so there is no oil delivery and no power is transmitted from the gearbox. <I> 2. Start-up and acceleration </I> By accelerating the motor, the shaft 20 is brought to a higher speed. The swash plate 25 is turned on by a controller, and oil is pumped immediately, and the oil motor 26 starts moving when the swash plate 27 is turned on strongly (low speed, high torque).
The overrunning clutch 28 is locked and the drive shaft 29 is taken along.
Through the relative adjustment of the swash plates 25 and 27 to each other by means of a controller, the shaft 29 will come to a speed at wel cher the outer gear 22 is faster than the plane tenradträger 36. The sun gear will initially stand still and then try to run backwards . Here, however, the clutch 34 had the pump firmly, so the sun gear is blocked. This has the consequence that the planetary gears 40 of the planetary gear carrier 36 driven by the drive motor are supported on the sun gear 33 and drive the outer gear 22 with overdrive action.
This process is stepless. In addition, there is the differential effect of the epicyclic gear, which means that with decreasing hydrostatic power, the mechanically transmitted power to the same degree, i.e. progressively and steplessly, increases until complete mechanical frictional connection is achieved. <I> 3. Deceleration </I> The engine speed decreases by releasing the accelerator. The shaft 29 and the outer wheel 22 still run at an almost unchanged speed; the sun gear 23 remains locked. As a result, the planetary gear carrier 36 is driven from the outer wheel 22 via the planetary gears 40 supported on the sun wheel 23.
Since the planetary gear carrier is directly connected to the drive motor via the shaft <B> 20 '</B>, it acts as a brake.
If you want to achieve a strong braking effect by the engine, the overrunning clutch 28 is engaged; so that the oil motor 26 is by appropriate employment of the swash plates 27 and 25 to the pump, and the pump 24 becomes the motor, and it drives the planetary gear carrier 36 to drive motor at increased speed and thus causes a greater braking effect. <I> 4. Pushing the vehicle </I> The overrunning clutch 28 is locked.
The oil motor 26 drives the oil pump, which drives the planet carrier 36 and the directly connected drive motor at a higher speed via the sun gear 23 and the planet gears 40 supported on the slowly rotating outer gear 22.
It is also possible to start the drive motor by pushing the vehicle using the epicyclic gear alone. In this case, the sun wheel 23 is locked. The clutch 28 is released. The outer gear 22 rotates and drives the planetary gear carrier 36 via the planetary gears 40 supported on the sun gear 23 and thus the drive motor. <I> 5. Reversing </I> The shaft 20 drives the pump 24, the swash plate 25 is turned on in reverse, the oil flow flows in the opposite direction, which means that the motor 26 also receives a reversed direction of rotation. The overrunning clutch 28 is locked, the shaft 29 is driven in the opposite direction.
In the case of the transmission described, as already mentioned, hydrostatic power is only transmitted in certain driving conditions, essentially for acceleration and for mountaineering. In all other driving areas, especially when the speed is more or less constant on the plane, the drive power is transferred purely mechanically to the drive wheels. This results in an improvement in the average efficiency based on the entire route, since experience shows that acceleration and mountain climbing are only required occasionally.
The invention allows various arrangements of the main parts of the transmission without changing anything in the manner of we. Thus, the epicyclic gear 21, instead of being arranged between the oil pump 24 and oil motor 26, also in front of or behind these two elements or next to them, especially when these two are to form a particularly compact unit (Fig. 2). Drive and output can either be arranged on one side (Fig. 1 and 2), as is necessary for certain block construction (e.g. front-wheel drive or rear engine), or a continuous drive and output can be selected ( Fig. 3), as it is common for vehicles of conventional design.
The transmission is also suitable for motor vehicles ge in which the drive motor is installed transversely to the direction of travel (Fig. 4 and 5). In this case, the epicyclic gearbox 21 is expediently arranged between the drive motor and the hydrostatic part with their axes aligned parallel to the drive axis of the motor vehicle. The output from the outer gear of the epicyclic gear to the differential gear of the drive axle takes place either via spur-toothed wheels or other form-fitting power transmission elements. The epicyclic gear can also be arranged between the oil pump and the oil motor in this design.
In the proposed construction, co-axial piston pumps or motors of known construction are provided, the displacement of which is variable by means of adjustable swash plates ble from zero to a maximum. However, other types of construction can also be used, provided that they allow stepless regulation of the delivery or intake flow.
In principle, the reciprocal volume regulation of the hydrostatic pump or the motor will take place according to known laws, but essentially in such a way that the speed of the drive machine is adapted to the respective power requirement in order to achieve the greatest economic efficiency. In contrast to hydrodynamic transmissions, whose hydraulic part has a fixed transmission ratio, this ratio can be selected manually or automatically (with the help of controllers, etc.) in the hydrostatic transmission, depending on the requirements of the current speed or power requirement .
