Central buffer coupling for rail vehicles The invention relates to a central buffer coupling for rail vehicles, which has a small and a large coupling claw on the front of its coupling heads of the same type, which partially grip each other in the coupled state and which has a guide horn below and to the side of the small coupling claw.
The object of the invention is to convert such a central buffer coupling to a rigid coupling by means of guide surfaces distributed on the guide horn and on the large coupling claw, but the vertical height as low as possible and good coupling with a customary, non-rigid claw coupling without guide horn be guaranteed should.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the guide horn has an approximately horizontally right surface, at the front and outer, lateral edge of which is connected a guide surface sloping forwards or outwards, and that the lower edge of the large coupling claw has one below it extending, obliquely outwardly sloping and limited by an obliquely downward and backward running leading edge guide surface, at the lower edge of which is at least approximately at the level of the surface of the guide horn, a horizontal surface connects.
The almost horizontal surface of the guide horn allows the guide horn to be attached relatively high on the coupling without having to worry about difficulties in mixed coupling with a non-rigid central buffer coupling. During the coupling process of the central buffer coupling according to the invention, the surfaces below the large coupling claw come into engagement with the surface or the surface of the guide horn located in front of it and shape the central buffer coupling into a rigid coupling.
In the case of mixed coupling with a non-rigid medium buffer coupling, the first-mentioned guide surfaces protrude into a free space and are therefore meaningless here.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing.
On a coupling head 1, which carries a small, prism-shaped and a large, hook-like coupling claw 3 and 5 on its front side, a guide horn 7 is rigidly attached since Lich and near the lower end of the small coupling claw 3. The guide horn 7 has a vertical front surface 9 that runs obliquely outwards and forwards and a likewise vertical side surface 11 that runs obliquely backwards and inwards. Between these surfaces 9 and 11 and an approximately horizontally extending surface 13, transition surfaces 15 and 17 are inserted, which slope obliquely to the front or to the side.
The lower surface of the large coupling claw 5 is formed by a relatively large guide surface 19, which slopes obliquely outwards and whose front edge 21 extends obliquely downwards and backwards. The guide surface 19 goes at its lower limit 20 Be in a horizontal, at least at approximately the level of the surface 13 lying surface. Between the guide surface 19 and the vertical surfaces of the large coupling claw 5, transition surfaces 23, 25 and 27 that slope backwards, obliquely backwards and outward and only outwardly sloping are interposed.
Below the guide surface 19, the front surface of the coupling head 1 is formed by a surface 29 lying in the plane of the front surface 9. The downwardly projecting extension section of the front surface 31 of the coupling head 1 located between the two coupling claws 3 and 5 has an opening 33 into which a line coupling (not shown) can be inserted.
When coupling two coupling heads designed according to the invention run, depending on the initial height, lateral and angular offset, for example, the transition surfaces 23, 25 and / or 27 of a coupling head against the transition surfaces 15 and / or 17 of the other coupling head and cause a rough, vertical Pre-centering. So then the separating edge between the vertical surfaces 9 and 11 comes to rest on the surface 29 of the mating coupling head, so that when the coupling heads come closer they pivot,
until their angular displacement disappears. The front edge 21 can come into contact with the transition surface 15 or the guide surface 19 can come into contact with the transition surface 17, whereby the vertical centering is continued.
Finally, the two coupling heads slide horizontally along each other, with a further vertical centering possibly taking place via the pair of surfaces 17, 19 until, with the completion of the coupling process, the horizontal surface adjoining the lower limit 20 pushes onto the surface 13 of the respective counter coupling head and the small Coupling claw 3 enters the recess of the large coupling claw 5 of the mating coupling head. In this position, the surfaces 13, together with the horizontal surfaces resting on them, lock the coupling heads against vertical displacements.
In the mixed coupling of a coupling head designed according to the invention with a coupling head without a guide horn, i. H. With a non-rigid coupling, there is a large vertical distance between the lower surface of the large coupling claw of the last-mentioned coupling head and the surface 13, so that no impairment of the coupling process or the relative vertical movements of the mixed coupled coupling can occur.
The guide surface 19 and the adjoining horizontal surface of the coupling head 1 according to the invention in this case protrude into an empty space, so that they too cannot influence the behavior of the coupling.
