Sealing device on cylinders leading to piston rods for pneumatic or hydraulic media The invention relates to a sealing device on cylinders leading to piston rods for pneumatic or hydraulic media,
the one to be attached to the piston rod guide mounting part and on the side facing away from the mounting part and facing the piston rod has at least one lip-like ring element to seal the gap between the piston rod guide and the piston rod and a wiper ring that Moving the piston rod back and forth on this sticking foreign body wipes off.
According to the invention, the outer circumference of the mounting part runs roughly corresponding to the jacket of a truncated cone that tapers towards the inside of the pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder containing the piston rod and its outer end face lies in a plane at right angles to the piston path and can be supported by a support surface ,
wherein the scraper ring with one end nestles like a lip on the piston rod and opposite to the sealing ring outwards in the longitudinal direction of the piston rod and with the sealing ring and the mounting part consists of a piece of resilient material.
The new, especially for lower work pressures suitable sealing device that z. B. can be made of rubber, is a component that fulfills various tasks at the same time and takes up relatively little space and is relatively cheap in construction and also in production ver relatively cheap and which can ultimately also be subjected to strong stem wear.
The new sealing device, which is on the one hand fastened to the housing and on the other hand is permanently connected to the reciprocating piston rod of pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders and apart from sealing the gap between the piston rod and the piston rod guide for stripping off any foreign bodies adhering to the piston rod can also easily be exchanged in just a few simple steps, so to speak in the moment.
In the drawing, exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown. 1 shows a sealing device according to the invention in an axial section, FIG. 2 däq in a certain manner built-in sealing device according to FIG. 1 in a side view in a vertical section, and FIG. 3 shows the sealing device installed in a different manner Fig. 1 also in a side view in a vertical section.
The new sealing device for piston rods is determined in particular by pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders and has a mounting part on the side facing away from the piston rod, which is fastened to the bearing body. From the bracket part go in the longitudinal direction of the piston rod and in the direction of the axis 11 in opposite directions Rich extending ring elements 3, 4 made of resilient material, for. B. made of rubber, each lip-like. The ring element 3, which faces the inside of the cylinder when the sealing ring is installed, serves to seal the piston rod, while the ring element 4, which faces outward, serves to strip off the piston rod.
As a look at Fig. 1 shows, the sealing ring is X-shaped in cross section. He has a constricted middle part at about 12 and both piston rod and housing side two vorsprin ing in opposite directions, ring-like lips.
In the direction of the inside of the cylinder, the shorter sealing lip 2 on the housing side and the longer sealing lip 3 on the piston rod side from the constricted central part 12. The mutually facing surfaces of the sealing lips 2, 3 extend here to diverge after the cylinder interior.
A longer wiper lip 4 projects outward from the constricted central part 12 on the piston rod side, while a further projection 13 is provided on the housing side, the outer end face 14 of which extends transversely to the piston rod longitudinal direction and represents a contact surface with a large cross-section. The mutually facing surfaces of the wiper lip 4 and of the projection 13 diverge outwards.
The inventive ring with a constricted central part 12 runs - such as. B. from Fig. 1 to 15 can be seen - roughly corresponding to the jacket of a truncated cone which tapers towards the inside of the cylinder.
The sealing ring is shaped on the outside in such a way that it can be inserted with its circumference into a groove 6 or recess on the bearing body 5 (FIG. 2) extending from the inside to the outside. Its outer end face is supported by the flat surface 7, which belongs to an inwardly projecting part of the housing 5 and gives a sufficient support for the annular body 1 at a certain size when the sealing lip 3 is under pressure. The small inside diameter makes it possible to make the sealing ring as small as possible, which also makes it easier to install.
The removal of a worn or for some other reason useless which sealing ring according to the invention in the arrangement according to FIG. 2 is done by destroying it, unless the piston rod is removed.
Such as B. from FIGS. 2 and 3, but also from FIG. 1, the inner surface facing the piston rod 16 is curved towards the center away from the piston rod. From Fig. 1 it can be seen that the middle part 17 of the inner surface of the sealing ring resting with its two edges 18 and 19 on the piston rod extends at a distance from the circumference of the piston rod (cf. also FIGS. 2 and 3), and he is connected to the edges 18, 19 of the ring resting on the piston rod by flat, inclined ring strips 20.
A simplification for the removal and installation he is when using the embodiment of FIG. 3. In this arrangement, the sealing ring 1 is in an open groove 8 of the bearing body 22 and is supported by a surface that becomes one with the help of a snap ring 10 or the like on the housing mounted support disc 9 or a similar union support ring belongs. It is also possible to hold the sealing ring 1 in the groove only with the aid of a snap ring similar to the ring 10. Instead of a snap ring you can also use a threaded ring or the like.
The support disk 9 generally represents a larger contact surface than the surface 7 of the embodiment according to FIG. 2, so that the sealing ring according to the invention is suitable for higher pressures when installed according to FIG. 3. The ring according to the invention can be dismantled from the outside in the embodiment according to FIG. 3, so that the cylinder can be serviced without removing the cover. In this way, the cylinder part that is subject to the most wear can be replaced without further ado.
As such, the ring body could also be cylindrical, but maintaining the conical shape also enables installation in the manner shown in FIG. 2, which is particularly cheap.
It is not a disadvantage if the ring is thrown away when the sealing lip is worn, but still usable wiper lip, because the new rings are not more expensive than the usual groove rings used for internal sealing. In order to be able to counter the pressure acting from the inside with sufficient inherent resistance, the height of the ring body is greater than its radial thickness.
As can be seen in particular from Fig. 1, the outer edges 23, 24 of the inner lip and the wiper lip are beveled from the bottom inside to the top outside.
In an embodiment not shown, a thin, outwardly conically tapering, elastic metal ring is vulcanized into the piston rod side outwardly vorsprin ing wiper lip so that its inner free edge rests against the circumference of the piston rod.
