Description
Dispositif d'emboîtement d'une tige de brosse à dents sur un axe
Le présent brevet a pour objet un dispositif d'emboîtement axial de la tige d'une brosse à dents automatique sur l'axe de son mécanisme d'entraAme- ment dans lequel l'une de ces deux pièces présente un dard s'engageant dans une creusure axiale de l'autre pièce, l'une de ces pièces présentant en outre au moins un tenon transversal s'engageant à crans dans un logement correspondant de l'autre pièce.
Le dispositif selon la présente invention est caractérisé par le fait que celle des pièces présentant ledit logement est munie d'au moins deux languettes longitudinales, parallèles et contenant ledit logement, les languettes pouvant s'écarter élastiquement lors de l'engagement du tenon entre les deux languettes pour se refermer élastiquement lorsque ce tenon a pris place dans son logement.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de la a présente in- vention.
La fig. 1 en est une vue en élévation, partielle ment coupée longitudinalement.
La fig. 2 une coupe selon II-II de la fig. 1.
La fig. 3 est une coupe par la ligne III-III de cette même figure.
Au dessin, 1 est la tige d'une brosse à dents dont la partie supérieure est munie de poils 2 et dont l'extrémité inférieure présente un dispositif d'emboîtement sur l'axe 3 d'un mécanisme, non représenté au dessin, entraînant la brosse en un mouvement oscillant.
L'axe 3 présente un dard 4 de section droite rectangullaiGre s'engageant almaviblement dans une creusure correspondante 5, pratiquée dans la tige 1.
Ce dard porte sur l'une de ses faces un tenon cylindrique 6 faisant partiellement corps avec une nervure longitudinale 7 s'étendant de part et d'autre du dard et, sur sa face opposée, une seconde nervure 8, de largeur correspondant à celle de la nervure 7 dans une variante, la nervure 8 pourrait également être de largeur légèrement inférieure.
Les parois la et lb du pied de la tige 1, délimitant la creusure 5, sont découpées, l'une, la, par une rainure 9 de largeur légèrement supérieure à celle du tenon 6, destinée à recevoir la nervure 8 lorsque la tige est fixée sur l'axe 4 et, l'autre , lb, par trois rainures loua, lOb et 1 1 délimitant deux languettes 12 et 13, la largeur de la rainure centrale
11 correspondant t à celle de la nervure 7 du dard.
Ces languettes 12 et 13 présentent chacune une creusure 12a, respectivement 13a, de forme incurvée.
Pour fixer une tige de brosse du genre représenté au dessin sur l'axe - 3, on commence par engager le dard 4 dans l'ouverture 5 en introduisant la partie avant de la nervure 7 dans la fente 11, entre les languettes 12 et 13. Lorsque le tenon 6 vient à buter contre la face frontale de ces languettes, on augmente la pression d'assemblage de manière à faire s'écarter lesdites languettes dans le sens représenté en fig. 3, par action de la face antérieure du tenon sur leur bord frontal et à permettre le passage de ce tenon dans cet espace en direction des creusures 12a et 13a.
Ces languettes sont suffisamment souples pour pouvoir fléchir légèrement sous l'action du tenon 6, en particulier lorsque la tige de brosse 1 est entraînée dans l'une ou l'autre direction par le dard 3, de manière à éviter que ce tenon ne soit soumis à un effort pendant cet entraînement.
Si par erreur la tige 1 est montée sur le dard 4 à l'envers, c'est-àire en engageant le tenon 6 dans la rainure 9, cette tige n'est pas verrouillée sur le dard parce que cette rainure est de largeur supérieure à celle du tenon et que la nervure 8 n'est pas pincée entre les languettes 12 et 13.
Le dispositif décrit présente, par rapport aux dispositifs connus, en particulier par rapport à celui faisant l'objet du brevet suisse No 357705, l'avantage de pouvoir fixer la tige sur le dard de la brosse électrique ou de l'éloigner de celuici sans modification sensible, après un nombre relativement élevé d'opérations successives, de la forme des. organes d'accouplement de l'axe 3 (dard 4, tenon 6, nervures 7 et 8) tout en ayant une usure acceptable des parties correspondantes de la tige 1 (languettes 12 et 13, logement 12a-13a).
En outre, avec ce dispositif, la tige ne tombe pas dans la bouche de l'usager lorsqu'il utilise de façon erronée la brosse à dents. C'est ainsi qu'en faisant fléchir exagérément cette tige pour atteindre toutes les parties de la denture par un déplacement horizontal de la brosse, on obtient dans certains oas une sollicitation axiale de la tige, suffisante pour l'arracher du dard.
Cet effort, dont l'intensité peut atteindre une valeur de 500 grammes environ, est dû au serrage exercé par les joues de l'usager et à l'accrochement des poils de brosse dans les interstices interdentaires: des essais ont montré qu'il est maximnsm lorsque la brosse agit au niveau de la troisième molaire de la denture et qu'elle est conduite en direction des incisives.
La conception particulière du dispositif décrit permet l'obtention de pièces finies uniquement par injection de matière plastique dans un moule correspondant, sans opération supplémentaire de reprise.

The present patent relates to a device for axially interlocking the rod of an automatic toothbrush on the axis of its drive mechanism in which one of these two parts has a stinger engaging in an axial recess of the other part, one of these parts also having at least one transverse tenon engaging in detents in a corresponding housing of the other part.
The device according to the present invention is characterized in that that of the parts having said housing is provided with at least two longitudinal tongues, parallel and containing said housing, the tongues being able to move apart elastically during the engagement of the tenon between them. two tabs to close elastically when this tenon has taken place in its housing.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention.

In the drawing, 1 is the rod of a toothbrush, the upper part of which is provided with bristles 2 and the lower end of which has a device for fitting onto the axis 3 of a mechanism, not shown in the drawing, resulting in the brush in an oscillating motion.
The axis 3 has a dart 4 of rectangular cross section which engages almavably in a corresponding recess 5, made in the rod 1.
This stinger carries on one of its faces a cylindrical tenon 6 forming part of a longitudinal rib 7 extending on either side of the stinger and, on its opposite face, a second rib 8, of width corresponding to that of the rib 7 in a variant, the rib 8 could also be of slightly smaller width.
The walls la and lb of the foot of the rod 1, delimiting the recess 5, are cut, one, la, by a groove 9 of width slightly greater than that of the tenon 6, intended to receive the rib 8 when the rod is fixed on the axis 4 and, the other, lb, by three grooves loua, lOb and 11 delimiting two tongues 12 and 13, the width of the central groove
11 corresponding t to that of the rib 7 of the stinger.
These tongues 12 and 13 each have a recess 12a, 13a respectively, of curved shape.
To fix a brush rod of the kind shown in the drawing on axis - 3, we begin by engaging the stinger 4 in the opening 5 by inserting the front part of the rib 7 in the slot 11, between the tabs 12 and 13 When the tenon 6 comes into abutment against the front face of these tongues, the assembly pressure is increased so as to cause said tongues to move apart in the direction shown in FIG. 3, by action of the front face of the tenon on their front edge and to allow the passage of this tenon in this space in the direction of the recesses 12a and 13a.
These tongues are flexible enough to be able to flex slightly under the action of the tenon 6, in particular when the brush rod 1 is driven in one or the other direction by the dart 3, so as to prevent this tenon from being subjected to stress during this training.
If by mistake the rod 1 is mounted on the dart 4 upside down, that is to say by engaging the tenon 6 in the groove 9, this rod is not locked on the dart because this groove is of greater width to that of the tenon and that the rib 8 is not pinched between the tabs 12 and 13.
The device described has, compared to the known devices, in particular compared to that forming the subject of Swiss patent No. 357705, the advantage of being able to fix the rod on the stinger of the electric brush or to move it away from it without significant modification, after a relatively large number of successive operations, of the shape of. coupling members of the axis 3 (dart 4, tenon 6, ribs 7 and 8) while having an acceptable wear of the corresponding parts of the rod 1 (tabs 12 and 13, housing 12a-13a).
In addition, with this device, the rod does not fall into the mouth of the user when he incorrectly uses the toothbrush. Thus, by exaggeratingly bending this rod in order to reach all the parts of the teeth by a horizontal displacement of the brush, in certain cases an axial stress on the rod is obtained, sufficient to tear it from the stinger.
This force, the intensity of which can reach a value of approximately 500 grams, is due to the tightening exerted by the user's cheeks and to the attachment of the brush hairs in the interdental interstices: tests have shown that it is maximnsm when the brush acts at the level of the third molar of the teeth and it is directed towards the incisors.
The particular design of the device described makes it possible to obtain finished parts only by injection of plastic material into a corresponding mold, without any additional rework operation.
