Time counter Claim and sub-claims 1 and 2 of the main patent relate to a time counter, with a housing in the form of a stick, and including a motor, capable of being used to operate the call disc of a telephone apparatus, this casing having, on the outside, an operating member arranged so that when the casing is grasped with one hand, this member can be actuated at the same time and with this hand, which produces then the start of the meter, this operating member further sliding on the housing and being connected to the meter mechanism so that, in one direction of its movement, it starts the meter,
while in its movement in the other direction, it indicates the elapsed time.
The present invention is characterized by the fact that the operating member of the sliding part projects outwardly through a slot in the housing of the rod and by the fact that this slot is disposed in the upper part of the rod and extends along an axis parallel to that of this stick.
It is thus possible to achieve an operating member independent of the housing of the stick and which is therefore much less bulky than those shown in the main patent while allowing it too to be actuated with one hand and at the same time. time that the call disc is operated in the telephone set.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention. Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the first embodiment.
Fig. 2 is a similar view of the second embodiment. The counter shown in fig. 1 has the shape of a stick and comprises a housing 40 provided with a clamp 41 allowing it to be fixed in a pocket, such as a pencil or a pen.
Inside the casing 40 is mounted the counter mechanism comprising in the frame 42 a mainspring and a regulating gear; 43 is a rack capable of moving axially in the tube 40; at its upper end, it ends with an actuator 44 projecting out of the housing 40 through the slot 46 and having a gripping button 45; this button moves along the graduation 47 arranged on one side of the slot 46.
When the button 45 is acted on, so as to push the rack downwards, the latter raises the mainspring without acting on the regulator gear; when the button is released, the rack moves in the opposite direction, then actuating the regulator gear.
The time during which the conversation lasts is obtained by comparing the position of button 45 in front of one of the numbers on the scale 47.
The embodiment of FIG. 2 differs from the present in that the scale of the minute indication 48 is visible in a window 49 of the housing 40; to the actuator 44, which also has a button 45 moving in the slot 46, is fixed a screen 50 which, depending on the position of the rack, makes it possible to hide all or part of the graduation 48.
