Dem schon erwähnten Grundgedanken der Erfin dung entsprechend wird jede der vier Maschinen Ab, Sp, Az und Aw von dem Motor M eines eigenen, auch je einen Generator besitzenden Leonardsatzes UM angetrieben;
Vom Verhalten der zwei zentralen Maschinen sind die beiden anderen Maschinen abhängig, die ausser dem auch noch unter sich ständig korrespondierend nachgeregelt werden. Einerseits darf nämlich der Abhaspel Ab nur so viel Draht liefern, als die Spritz- maschine gebrauchen kann, und der Aufhaspel Aw darf nur, muss aber auch so viel Draht aufwickeln, als ihm der Abzug Az liefert;
Cable crimping machine with automatic, stepless control of its electric drive. The aim of the invention is to improve the electric drive of such Kabelwerkma- machines, with which on the work material, which z. B. from individual electrical conductors or from cable cores already composed of several conductors can be, a layer usually produced from another not yet preformed material is seamlessly brought or pressed on, which should have a certain outer diameter as precisely as possible.
In particular, these are machines for sheathing individual conductors or multi-core cables with insulating materials or metals, namely so-called injection machines and cable jacketing presses. On the other hand, there are neither machines such as B. wire or tube drawing machines, with which the work material is worked from a predetermined larger to a desired smaller diameter ago, nor to such machines as z.
B. Stranding machines, with which several still bare or already individually insulated conductors or wires are stranded and additionally wrapped with pre-formed strands of insulating material or metal, which are usually in the form of a tape, on the other hand, the term Kabelumpressma.schine, as he What is meant here is not only the actual working or main machines, i.e. the injection machines and cable jacket presses already mentioned, to be understood,
but also the associated auxiliary machines for unwinding, pulling off and winding up the work goods. It is therefore the electrical drive of the complete machine group containing all these mentioned individual machines, if the term cable crimping machine is used for the sake of brevity.
The invention is to be illustrated using the example of a masohine for encapsulating electrical conductors with plastics, in which the solution to the object of the invention is particularly important and urgent, but without being restricted thereto.
In the case of the injection molding machines and also the other cable crimping machines, uncontrollable changes in the respective power requirements of the machines occur in practical operation due to the variable frictional forces and imbalances - or more generally due to natural vibrations of the organs involved in the work process.
According to the initial considerations underlying the invention, these changes can not be governed by the fact that the various drive organs of the main and auxiliary machines are selected so large in their power that they always have an excess power over the estimated per se Maximum performance.
It is therefore not sufficient to make the electric drive more stable during operation by choosing larger electric drive motors. Furthermore, in the material used to encase electrical conductors or entire cables, especially in the plastics that have recently been increasingly used for this purpose, changes of a physical nature that cannot be easily controlled occur, e.g.
B. different hardnesses of the spray material depending on its insufficient gelation or through warming, which has an effect in different wall thicknesses of the insulating layers or jackets generated on the electrical conductors or cables. Regulating the drive of injection molding machines is made more difficult by the fact that injection speeds are increasing, which are several hundred meters per minute.
At high injection speeds, deviations in the desired outer diameter of the lines, which in particular have an undesirable effect on their operating capacity, become noticeable over too great lengths before they are corrected to avoid rejects.
All of these mentioned and other disturbing influences are to be completely absorbed or largely compensated as far as possible with the invention by improving the electrical drive of the cable crimping machine.
The essence of the invention is that, for the purpose of fast, low-loss regulation of the automatically and continuously regulated electrical drive of the cable crimping machine, the drive motors of their main machine and the associated auxiliary machines for unwinding, pulling off and winding up the work item are each from generators of individual Leonard sets (previously also often called Leonardaggre- gate) are fed,
whereby the excitations are regulated automatically and at least in part via magnetic amplifiers. However, the magnetic amplifiers can be arranged and switched in such a way that they sometimes only control one Leonard set, but sometimes also several Leonard sets. If several Leonard sets are controlled by just one magnetic amplifier, in addition to direct control, indirect control is also possible for downstream Leonard sets.
Such a control can therefore be described as low-loss because it enables a fully electric, without any (always loss-liable) mechanical clutches caused by regulation of all drive machines of the whole machine group.
Leonard's sets have been known for a long time as drive elements for work machines of various types, as well as, more recently, magnetic amplifiers as control elements. As a result, the invention does not consist in using Leonard sets and magnetic amplifiers in the electric drive of cable works machines, but in the arrangement and circuit suitable for cable crimping machines which have just been given in principle.
A stranding machine for telecommunication cables with infinitely variable control or adjustment options for the twisting spool is already known, in which the separately excited drive motors for the stranding basket and the haul-off disc are fed by two generators of a single Leonard double unit.
However, this circuit is not suitable for the special, differently positioned control tasks in cable crimping machines; furthermore, it is not sufficiently sensitive to rapid automatic regulation.
The invention is based on the following basic considerations: Neither individual electric motors are used for the drive of the main and auxiliary machines, as has been common practice with press molding machines, nor are those for Ve:
The rope machines were familiar with Leonard double sets, but because of the better control options required for the main machine and each auxiliary machine, as already mentioned, each has its own Leonard set. Only in this way can the particular advantage of Leonard sets, which is known per se, be fully exploited that with them the speed and torque of the electric motors are regulated by means of low-loss regulation of the excitation voltages of the electric generators connected upstream of them.
As electric motors are known to be used because of their better control characteristics DC motors. A certain speed dictated by external parameters is prescribed for the driving Leonardsatz and it then tries to maintain this desired speed with its maximum available torque, determined by the greatest momentary acceleration or braking, regardless of the torque actually required.
The torque should therefore be regardless of whether the relevant main or auxiliary machine is being braked or not braked during the operation in its respective ge desired size.
The external determinants z. For example, in the case of injection molding machines, the following are in particular: a) Thickness of the applied layer, checked by a thickness measuring device.
b) Tension in the work piece, controlled by one or more dancer rollers.
c) Speed of the work item, controlled by a touring dynamo.
d) Speed of the screw conveyor in the injection molding machine, controlled by another touring dynamo.
Another basic consideration is that the excitation voltages of the generators of the Leonard sets, whose motors are externally excited with a constant DC voltage, are at least partially changed via magnetic amplifiers. Magnetic amplifiers are known as such and have certain advantages over electron tube amplifiers which can be used in the invention. You have a smaller control range than other control organs, z. B. just that. tube amplifiers already mentioned, but are both more reliable and less sensitive to overload.
The magnetic amplifiers, which in principle consist of AC transformers, are known to work by changing their magnetic field, for which purpose an additional coil is usually placed on a third transformer yoke. The control voltage is applied to this additional excitation coil and a large change in the output voltage can then be achieved with a minimum control voltage and the change in magnetization caused by it.
In the arrangement according to the invention, a rectifier (not shown in particular) can sit electrically behind each of the three magnetic amplifiers, so that the genera gates in this way receive the required DC excitation voltage. In the drawing, in Fig. 10, an embodiment example of the invention in a schematic diagram is Darge, which shows the arrangement of the individual components of an entire injection molding machine system and is also the electrical circuit diagram of the system.
In the following explanation of the plan, the design of the individual components is only described as far as it is necessary for understanding.
The main machine of the system according to FIG. 10 is an injection molding machine Sp with a motorized screw drive of a known type. Auxiliary machines are the unwinding device (decoiler) Ab, from the front of which a bare wire D to be injected in the spraying machine Sp runs, furthermore the pull-off device (pull-off) Az, which pulls the wire through the spraying machine, and finally the winding device (reel) Aw,
which rewinds the wire to be sprayed onto a supply drum for further processing. Both the unwinding and the winder can be set up in a known manner for automatic drum change for the purpose of continuous operation of the system.
Between decoiler Ab and injection molding machine Sp on the one hand and take-off Az and coiler Aw on the other hand, wire D runs over the dancer rollers Twl and Tw2, which determine the tension in the wire at these points in a known manner by means of its slack.
Between the injection molding machine Sp and the take-off Az the wire D runs through a so-called thickness sensor Dg, which scans the surface of the overmolded wire and thus determines its outer diameter, which can be done optically or electrically can be done inductively or capacitively or in a combined electrical-optical way, and which then continuously forwards the determined value to the electrical thickness measuring device (thickness gauge) Dm acting as a control element.
According to the already mentioned basic idea of the invention, each of the four machines Ab, Sp, Az and Aw is powered by the motor M of its own Leonard set , which also has a generator UM driven;
It therefore belongs to the decoiler Ab the Leonard set G1 "Ml, to the injection molding machine Sp the Leonard set G2'M2, to the take-off Az the Leonard set G3 M3 and to the reel Aw the Leonard set G4 M4. </ I > In the excitation circuits of the generators G1, which are preferably fed by a common constant AC voltage source,
G2 and G3 each have a magnetic amplifier Mvl or Mv2 or Mv3, while the excitation circuit of the generator G4 is switched differently, as will be explained later. The excitation windings of the motors M1 and M2 on the one hand and of the motors M3 and M4 on the other hand are connected in series and are therefore connected in pairs to a constant DC voltage source (of, for example, 220 volts).
In this way, the drives of the machines, which have to work correspondingly to each other, are electrically coupled to each other, namely the decoiler with the injection molding machine and the trigger with the reel-up. The three magnetic amplifiers are electrically connected in parallel to a device labeled Dv, with which the desired speed ratio of the machines is set and which in turn is controlled by a device labeled So (setpoint generator)
is controlled, with which the desired target value for the delivery rate of the injection molding machine and thus the entire system can be set.
In addition to the magnetic amplifier Mvl, there is also a so-called collector regulator Krl which influences the collector current strength of the Genonatois and which consists of two adjustable resistors, e.g. B. two sliding resistors.
One resistor is used to set before, while the other is adjusted by the dancer roll Twl. A corresponding arrangement is made in the excitation circuit of the generator G4 with which the collector current strength of the generator is influenced by the so-called collector regulator Kr4 and the dancer roller Tw4.
In addition, the excitation circuit of the generator G4 is connected to the main or working circuit of the generator G3 and also connected to an auxiliary voltage source Hs (if necessary, as in the example via a rectifier not specifically designated). This electrical interconnection of the generators G3 and G4 has the effect that the take-off Az determines the basic speed of the reel Aw via the excitation voltage of its generator G4.
A change in the voltage at the generator G3 also brings about a corresponding change in the voltage and speed of the motor M4 via the change in the excitation voltage at the generator G4. This regulation of the basic speed takes place in addition to the regulation dictated by the dancer roller Tw4 via the so-called collector regulator which influences the collector current intensity of the generator.
The two magnetic amplifiers Mv2 and Mv3 are different from the magnetic amplifier Mvl under the effect of two further determinants. In the case of both amplifiers, two further windings connected electrically or only magnetically in parallel are applied to the third leg on which the magnetic field changing coil is located. One of these two windings is connected to the main circuit (motor circuit) of the Leonard sets G2 / M2 and G3! M3.
The purpose of this measure is synchronization for precise regulation of the generator speed, which saves a special calibration of the two magnetic amplifiers. The other additional winding is connected to a touring dynamo Td2 or Td3, which is rigidly connected to the associated motor M2 or
M3 is coupled and supplies the associated magnetic amplifier with the actual engine speed (actual speed) as a determinant variable.
In the circuit of the magnetic amplifier Mv3, the touring dynamo is also located in parallel with the already mentioned thickness gauge Dm. The touring dynamo Td3 and the thickness gauge Dm can each have an unspecified calibration resistor be connected in series, which is used for presetting or adjustment.
With this circuit, the magnetic amplifier Mv3 is supplied with the motor speed as the actual value and the order thickness of the layer sprayed onto the wire as the target value.
Due to this arrangement and electrical circuit of the individual components, the spraying system has a complete electrical control and works fully automatically in the following way, but without any mechanical coupling:
Corresponding to the character of the injection molding machine Sp as the main machine, the Leonard Set G2 / M2 and the magnetic amplifier Mv2 are the central electrical organs of the system, from which the entire automatic control is based, namely in such a way that the injection molding machine screw moves to the speed initially estimated to be constant through the wire drawn through it, the same amount of plastic, determined by the desired outer diameter of the insulation, is conveyed per unit of length and injected onto the wire through the mouthpiece.
The magnetic amplifier Mv2, in conjunction with the touring dynamo Td2, has the task of ensuring a load-independent, rigid speed of the screw conveyor in the injection molding machine Sp. Depending on these central organs, the take-off Az works, which ideally also runs at a constant speed, but if it deviates from the target value, it is controlled in the same direction as the injection molding machine by means of the Leonard set G3 \ M3 and the magnetic amplifier Mv3.
If the injection molding machine conveys more, the trigger must run faster and vice versa, for which the thickness meter Dm gives the command. The thickness gauge in turn receives the control command from which the wire z. B. inductively or capacitively electrically scanning thickness sensor Dg. As soon as there is a deflection on the thickness sensor due to a deviation from the target value, it immediately starts an adjustment motor located in the thickness gauge, whereby the size of the deflection is recorded by the speed of the motor. The electrical equivalent of the deflection can be reinforced by a small magnetic amplifier belonging to the thickness gauge.
The adjusting motor, which is at a standstill for the duration of compliance with the setpoint, rotates depending on the (positive or negative) direction of the deflection in one or the other direction and adjusts a control resistor coupled to it, which can be a rotary or sliding resistor.
An electrical measuring instrument or an independent optical display device can be combined with the electrical thickness sensor Dg, which enables the machine operator to visually check the target value of the sprayed-on layer.
The two other machines are dependent on the behavior of the two central machines, and are also constantly readjusted accordingly. On the one hand, the decoiler Ab is only allowed to deliver as much wire as the injection molding machine can use, and the decoiler Aw is only allowed to, but has to wind up as much wire as the take-off Az delivers;
on the other hand, the emptying decoiler Ab has to run faster and the refilling reel Aw slower by a little more than the same value because of the winding diameter that is still increasing around the spray layer. The Leonard sets G1 / M1 and G4 'M4 are therefore controlled reciprocally via their Magnetver stronger Mvl and Mv3.
The magnetic amplifier Mvl depends electrically on the speed ratio adjuster Dv on the magnetic amplifier Mv3, which, as already mentioned, also serves as a control element for the Leonard set G4; M4 is used. It will be explained in a moment how far there is an electrical reverse circuit between the Leonard sets G1, M1 and G4; M4. The rule game with the inversion is repeated with each reel change, which, as already mentioned, can take place automatically in a known manner.
The two dancer rollers Twl and Tw4 supply via: the so-called collector regulator Krl or Kr4 controlled by them and influencing the collector current strength of the generator, an additional regulation dependent on the wire tension to the regulation given in the Leonardsatz G1. 'Ml from the magnetic amplifier Mvl and the Leonard sentence G4; M4 comes from generator G3.
The auxiliary voltage source Hs does not provide a variable controlled variable, but rather, with the basic voltage it supplies, only ensures that there is sufficient voltage in the wire even when the system is at a standstill.
If the dancer rollers Twl and Tw4 drop with a wire tension that drops below the nominal value, they cause a change in the speed of the motors Ml or M4, but in the opposite direction; because when Twl sinks, the motor Ml, which is rigidly coupled to the decoiler Ab , must run more slowly, while when Tw4 sinks, the motor M4 coupled to the decoiler Aw must run faster.
This also explains that the magnetic amplifier Mvl controls in a different direction than the magnetic amplifier Mv3, which in the Leonard set G3; M3 regulates to a value that is as constant as possible, but allows reciprocal control in the Leonard set G4 / M4 .
The two dancer rollers could work alone with the wire weight they carry as a determinant, but to save space, a constant preload with an external additional weight is advisable without the sensitivity of the regulation being affected.
In the previously known spraying machine systems, only an empirical manual power adjustment between the main and auxiliary machines is possible. In the arrangement shown according to the invention, the machine operator with the setpoint value transmitter So via the downstream speed ratio adjuster Dv can set the required unwinding power as well as the associated take-off power and take-up power for a specific screw delivery rate of the injection molding machine without actuating further control elements will.
Only if the machine operator has set a completely wrong speed ratio on the device Dv with the setpoint value transmitter So , the whole machine system cannot regulate itself, which has the effect that the sprayed onto the wire Layer remains too thick or too thin despite all automatic attempts to regulate the system. In this special case, the machine operator then has to set a new set value with the set value transmitter on the speed ratio adjuster, which is his only manual control work.
The injection molding machine equipped as described above can be further developed in that, in addition to the speed ratio control, a speed level control is also provided with which the temperature of the injection compound is recorded as a further determinant in addition to the output of the screw conveyor. For this purpose, in the spray head of the spray machine, for. B. in their mouthpiece, a temperature sensor can be arranged.
This temperature sensor gives the command, if the injection compound is too cold, to reduce the speed of the injection molding machine and in the opposite case, if the injection compound is too hot, to increase it. With this arrangement, the thickness gauge ensures that the desired thickness of the sprayed-on layer is maintained.
With this arrangement, the temperature sensor has a different task than the temperature sensors already known per se on injection molding machines, with which the injection temperature is regulated to a constant value independently of the delivery rate by changing the heating of the injection head. The advantage of this additional device is that the machine can be started up again more quickly after an interruption in operation.
Until now, after commissioning, the machine only had to run idle until the gunning compound had reached exactly the desired temperature.
With the invention, a complete electrical regulation can be achieved, in which the deviation from the setpoint value is far below 1 % . Such an accuracy has not yet been able to be achieved remotely in other injection molding machines.
It has already been mentioned that for the purpose of continuous operation of the system, both the unwinding and the winding device can be set up in a known manner for automatic drum changes.
There is a need for continuous operation for several reasons. On the one hand, the holding times at higher speeds have more of an effect than lost times in production and, on the other hand, the correct setting is easily lost when the press-molding machines are stopped, so that when the conveyor elements, which are mostly in the form of screws, are restarted again must be adjusted and readjusted to deliver the correct spray layer thickness depending on the trade fair temperature.
In order to avoid these and other disadvantages, of which only the so-called burning of the compound in the injection cylinder when the screw is at a standstill should be mentioned, in some cable factories the injection molding machines are allowed to continue running even when the take-off device is at a standstill and the compound, which is emptied empty, is sent on the risk that their gelling and processing status has changed,
later through the machine again. However, this does not remedy the interruption in production.
The invention is therefore also based on the task of being able to improve the previously known Wickelvorrich lines with drum change in such a way that the pressing machines can really work continuously, that is with the highest possible and constant fabrication speed without interruption by the drum change. In this direction, the following options were previously known: The work machines coming from working machines, regardless of whether they are machines for rolling, pulling or overmolding of wires, is usually wound up on drums with limited capacity.
In the case of drawing machines, the raw wire rings z. B. a weight of 50 to 100 kg, whereas only a maximum of 5 to 10 kg, usually even less, finished wire wound on a drum who the. In overmolding machines too, the drums have to be changed more often when winding, the larger the diameter of the insulated wire is compared to the bare wire.
These circumstances explain the fact that so far in practice only measures have been taken to change the drum in the winding devices.
It is known, for example, to drive two mirror-image arranged and with their faces facing each other drums independently vonein other and also independently vonein other to bring into the working position and pull out of it, what z. B. is achieved by shifting the axial displacement of the drums together with their drive motors by the length of the winding space and two flange thicknesses of the drums.
When the wire is transferred on the fly from the full to the empty drum, the following is ensured: the same speed of the drums and the wire between the flanges is separated with a knife as soon as a few turns are wound on the new drum.
It is also known to work in a similar manner temporarily - e.g. B. on the same axis - to bring an auxiliary drum next to the drum to be replaced and to wind the wire onto it while the drum is being changed. The auxiliary drum can be used for several changes until it is fully wound itself. However, it then contains several separate wire lengths.
It is also known not to move the drums together with their drum holders axially, but rather to pivot them out of the working position and then back into them to change the drum. In a device of this type, the two drums, the holding spindles of which are cantilevered as usual, are coupled to the drive equipped with an electric motor and a gearbox by means of electromagnetic lamellar clutches and also brought back to the same speed for the wire transfer.
The laying device is also in this known device a little more than twice as wide as a drum, and the laying fork is after the transfer of the wire to the empty drum by an insertable and disengageable pin prevents ge to return to the full drum to be replaced.
When the wire changes from the full drum to the synchronously rotating empty drum, the winding diameter on both drums is unequal and the empty drum winds up too slowly. As a result, if the withdrawal speed remains unchanged, an excess wire length is produced. It is already known to record this length by means of a special memory and at the same time to control the winding device with it for so long, that is, to let it run faster until the excess is used up and normal running is reached again.
A memory suitable for this purpose is known in the form that a first group of several loosely rotatable rollers on a column at its lower end on a fixed axis and a corresponding second group of loose rollers on a movable control carriage guided by a chain Rolls sit, over which rolls the wire coming from the trigger is guided up and down several times. As the control carriage moves up and down, the excess length of the wire is caught and gradually released again. The switching devices for the additional drum speed are controlled with the chain.
In application of this known state of the art, the invention assumes that even with a cable press machine according to the Hauptge of the invention, the winding device with a memory that temporarily stores the excess length of the work item (wire) when changing from one rotating drum to another takes up and the winding device controls as long as additional Lich, and can be equipped with a device tren the work goods of the two drums after changing from each other.
Knowing that a really continuous operation with any number of drum changes is only possible if there are corresponding organs for the drum change on both the winding side and the unwinding side, the unwinding device of the cable crimping machines is also a die when changing over to falling excess length of the work material (wire)
Temporary receiving and the winding device so long additionally controlling memory and also equip good with an end and beginning of the work of the two drums previously brought to synchronous circulation before the transfer connec Denden device.
In the described example of the pressing machine according to the invention, it is already ensured that the speeds of the unwinding and winding devices are continuously and correctly regulated depending on the respective winding diameter on the drums and also depending on the external parameters of the machine.
However, the two stores provided also provide an additional regulation of the drum speed for the fastest possible removal of the currently occurring excess work. For this purpose, the memory in the work flow behind or in front of the winding devices instead of the dancer rollers that are provided on both sides of the machine and control the tension in the work item; the electrical control elements built into the memory then form the control elements arranged between the generators and magnetic amplifiers of the reel.
In the machine shown only schematically in Fig. 10 of the drawing, the unwinding device Ab is from the Leonard sentence G1M l and the winding device AK driven by the Leonard set G4 M4 . In the figures of the drawing, the same reference numerals are used as far as possible for the same or corresponding parts in both the unwinding device and the winding device.
The unwinding device is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 in side view and top view and the winding device in FIGS. 3 and 4 is also shown in side view and top view. The other figures show details, some on a larger scale.
The still to be overmolded or already overmolded wire 1 in the injection molding machine not shown in detail runs from the drums 2 of the unwinding device on the later described enclosed memory 17 to 33 to the drums 2 of the winding device. The drums are driven by motors + generators 3 (Leonard sets) with gears 3 'connected downstream via V-belts 4, Fi.g. 2, gear sets 5, each one interposed electrical cal magnetic disk clutch 6 and each one electric magnetic disk brake 7, chain wheels 8, Fig. 1,
and chains 9 driven. Via these clutches 6 and 7 brakes, the drive is divided towards each drum mel, and they can be operated individually and independently of each other for each drum. The drums 2 each sit for themselves on the waves 10, the free ones. Ends facing each other.
These shafts, together with the sprockets 8 and chains 9, are mounted in swivel beams 11, which are rotatable about the pivot pins 12 and each by means of a clamping device made of handwheels 13, vertical shafts 14 and threads attached to their lower ends 15 (Fig. 3) can be firmly and vibration-free connected to the foundations 16 as soon as the drums 2 are pivoted into their working position. Instead of the chain wheels and chains, differently designed gears can also be arranged in the swivel bars.
In Fig. 2, the upper drum is just in the working position, in which the wire 1 runs off her, and the lower full drum in the waiting position. In FIG. 4, too, the upper drum is in the working position and the lower, but empty drum, is in the waiting position. In this figure, the lower swivel bar 11 is shown in broken lines in part also in the swiveled-out state.
The two memories that z. B. are able to store 20 m wire each, are shown in Figures 1 and 3 in a mirror-image arrangement and with different positions of the control car; Otherwise, the two memories are designed the same and have the shape of a column on which the control car slides up and down. The two guide rods 17 together with the head 18 and the foot 19 form a guide frame for the control carriage 20, which is designed as a sliding carriage.
Both on the head 18 and on the slide 20, a set of several grooved disks 21 is loosely rotatably fastened on an axle, one above the other. The wire 1 is guided up and down several times over the disks and regulates the height of the carriage 20 with its tension. The wire tension can be graded by means of weights 22 (FIG. 5) if necessary, e.g. B. from about 0.5 to 10 kg.
As Fig. 5 shows, sits on the head 18 of the Spei memory still a role 23, over which a rope 24 is placed, one end of which is connected to the carriage 20, and at the other end of which a piston 25 hangs, which slides airtight in a parallel to the guide rods 17 attached tube 26 is guided. The piston 25 is pierced from top to bottom, and this piercing 27 is closed at the top by a pressure valve 28, which is only indicated, in such a way that it opens slightly when the piston falls and closes again when it rises. Also at the lower end of the tube 26 is a valve 29, which is only indicated, with which the inflow of air can be regulated when the piston rises and thus when the slide falls.
With these pneu matically effective means, too rapid a movement of the slide, as it occurs for. B. with more than 1 msec can occur in the event of a wire break, braked and this can also be combined with a quick shutdown of the entire system. On one side of the memory, an endless chain 31, which is coupled to the carriage 20 by a pin 32, is over two rollers 30, one of which is arranged at the head 18 and the other at the foot 19 of the memory.
About this chain drive, a not be recorded shaft in the foot 19 of the memory and a set of gears 33, the carriage 20 adjusts an elec tric control member 34 (in the form of a rotary resistor, collector regulator or the like) that acts on the engine speed.
The pneumatic safety device does not necessarily have to be provided in both stores; However, this is more advantageous because the press-molding machine and the take-off device, which both influence the tension in the wire, are located between the stores.
The device belonging to the winding device for connecting the end and the beginning of the work material of the unwound drums is arranged in the free space between these drums, as can be seen in FIG. 2, and it is shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 and in part also shown in Fig. 1 in detail.
When preparing to change the drum, the beginning and end of the wire of each new full drum are brought out sufficiently far and pressed together into a resilient clamp that sits at the end of each drum shaft. After the drum change, the wire end of the working drum and the wire at the beginning of the waiting drum are each bent out so far that they touch approximately coaxially. This can be seen from FIGS. 6 and 7.
In order to bring about precise contact with the wire ends to be connected during the rotation of the two drums, a drum shaft 10 (the lower one in the example in FIG. 2) is drilled through so that a slide 36 can be moved in it from the outside by means of a rod 35, Fig. 677. This slide carries the already mentioned resilient clamp 37, which receives the (inner) wire end 38 and holds the (outer) wire beginning 39 in the working position.
The free opposite end of the other drum shaft only carries one fixed clamp. By means of a fork 40, a lever 41, a bearing pin 42 and an adjusting screw 43, which parts sit on the outside of the swivel bar 11, the slide 36 and thus the wire beginning 39 can be moved in the axial direction and thus during the rotation to the immovably opposite, bring the wire end of the other drum to be connected with it.
The two wire ends are centered during the revolution, as can be seen in FIGS. 1 and 2, by two centering claws 44 which are mounted on two shafts 45 near the foundation and connected by a pair of gears 46. A support 47 holds the centering claws 44 in the working position.
The connection is effected by means of a welding device, not shown in detail, operated with electrical current heat or oxy-fuel gas, which is moved up to the connection point. After welding (or soldering) - the centering claws are spread apart, as shown in dashed lines in Fig. 1, so that they are no longer in the space between the two inner drum flanges.
The drums both continue to rotate synchronously from welding to changing the wire from the empty to the full drum. Then the empty drum is disconnected from the drive by actuating the associated clutch 6 and brake 7 and braked, which can also be done automatically. The swivel bar 11 with the drum is then swiveled by hand about its pivot by 70 to 90 and swiveled in again after the empty drum has been replaced with a full drum.
Due to the larger winding diameter of the outer core layer, every full drum initially has a speed that is too high. It is therefore automatically adjusted in such a way that the store takes up the excess amount of wire fed by lowering the slide, adjusts the electrical control element and slows down the speed of the motor until the store is empty again,
whereupon the slide regulates the speed of the motor via the control element to the winding requirement of the transfer press. After loading the winder with a new full drum, its drive is switched on by hand and brought into synchronous rotation with the working drum, which starts the cycle again.
In the case of the take-up device shown in FIGS. 3, 4, 8 and 9, the conditions are similar, but with the difference that a laying device and a cutting device are also attached here above the drums. Here, too, both drums run temporarily synchronously, namely at least from the point at which the wire is switched from the full to the empty drum until the wire has wrapped itself firmly enough on the empty drum and then eats the piece of wire connecting the two drums .
Here, too, the change of the drums and their different winding diameters results in a sudden, excessive delivery of wire. As a result of this excess delivery, both drums must first be accelerated to the highest speed of the motor, until the memory is emptied again, which has taken up the excess wire due to the low power of the empty drum. The memory then regulates the motor to the amount of wire supplied by the crimping machine.
In the winding device, too, as in the unwinder, the motor 3 drives the shafts 10 via the V-belt 4, FIG. 8, the gears 5, clutches 6 and brakes 7 as well as the chain wheels 8 and the chains 9. From Fig. 8 it can also be taken ent that here - and in the same way also in the unwinding device - between the pivot pin 12 of the pivot beam a joint coupling 48, for. B. a double ball joint with changes in its position compensating tension springs 48 'and a spring-loaded locking bolt 49 are arranged, which bolt 49 in a detent 50 (z.
B. a gear) can intervene and so prevents the drums from rotating even if the brake 7 or clutch 6 fails when the drums are swiveled out. The articulated couplings ensure that the drums can be swiveled out reliably and it can be ensured that this is only possible after the drum concerned has braked. As FIG. 8 further shows, the drum shafts 10 are mounted in special bushings 10 ', which consist of a rubber-elastic material, in such a way that the torque does not pass through the elastic mounting.
The bushes sit in their associated sprockets 8, which also carry the drum driver 2 ', and all sprockets are mounted in powerfully dimensioned ball bearings 10 ". This arrangement ensures that the drums are self-centering and in this way natural vibrations that can be caused by an imbalance in the wire spools, are largely dampened. On the other hand, it is achieved that the drums also belong in the swiveled-out state via their drivers, the gearbox arranged in the swivel beam and the articulated coupling until they are pulled off the drum shaft with their associated ones The brake remains coupled, so the spring-loaded locking bolt mentioned is only an additional safeguard against unwanted drum rotation.
The changeover of the now coated wire from one drum to the other takes place at the moment shown in FIG. 4, where the laying fork 51 is at the level of the outer clear drum edge. At this point the installation fork must be moved up to the clear width of the inner flange of the empty drum. This shift environment, which is a different movement than the laying on one and the same drum, happens quickly through the spindle 52, which is rotated by a special motor 53 and can be braked sharply by an electromagnetic multi-disc brake 53 '.
A rod 54 guides the laying fork holder 55 and two switching pins 56 actuate the switching relays 57, which act as limit switches, in the end positions of the laying fork. The laying carriage 58 carries these parts 51 to 57 and is pushed back and forth to lay the wire on the drums by means of the nut 59 attached to it by turning the spindle 60 to the right and left.
A switching rod 61 controls the direction of rotation of the spindle 60 in a known manner through its axial displacement by means of stops attached to it, the switching relay 62 alternately engaging further electromagnetic multi-disc clutches 63. The shaft 65 is rotated to the left or to the right, depending on the circuit, through gears 64 and thus also the spindle 60 via a chain wheel drive 66. The laying is driven by means of the two variator disks 67 and 68 connected by V-belts.
The cutting device sits between the drums and is shown in part in FIG. 4 and in FIG. It has a knife 69 which can be pivoted about the pin 70. A lever arm 71 is supported in the working position against the housing 72 and its bearing 73 is fastened on the base plate 16 BE. Another lever arm 74 is connected to the pulling electromagnet 75 by a joint. After switching from the full to the empty drum, this magnet is actuated by an adjustable delay relay, not shown, whereby the knife is raised into the working position.
After cutting, the knife falls through its weight down into its starting position. The cutting happens when the wire is securely wound on the drum; this is the case after about two wrapping layers.
As has already been mentioned briefly, the switching of the drums when changing the wire can also be set up for automatic operation instead of manual. For this purpose, either a scanning of the filling status of the drums, the simplest of the winding diameter that is present or desired at the end of a work cycle, or a dimension according to the length of the wire, can be provided.
In the case of the winding device, it is advisable to synchronize the scanning (or length measurement) with the laying device in such a way that the switchover always occurs when the laying fork reverses on the outer drum flange. The scanning can e.g. B. be done with sliding contacts acting on both drums. It can, for.
For example, one contact is actuated when the laying device is about to turn around, and another contact when the end winding diameter is reached. The contacts can also be dependent on one another in that the first only responds or triggers when the second has already triggered. An optical or acoustic signaling device can be provided which indicates to the machine operator that the drum must be changed by hand, while all other processes take place automatically.
