Die Anwendung der Erfindung auf ein Wechsel getriebe mit sogenanntem Schnellgang für Automo bile wird nun anhand der beiliegenden Zeichnung beispielsweise näher erläutert, und zwar zeigen Fig. 1 einen Längsschnitt durch den hinteren Teil des Gehäuses eines Wechselgetriebes und durch das Abtriebsrad des letzteren, wobei die Welle an ihrem hinteren Ende gleitbar eine Hülse trägt;
Change gears The present invention relates to change gears, as used for example in the power transmission system of motor vehicles, which can be, for example, the type of change gears in which a high speed gear is available for driving the drive shaft of the vehicle .
Usually the output shaft of such a gearbox is coupled directly to the front Kreuzge joint of the cardan shaft of a vehicle, which has a grooved length compensation coupling. Recently, however, constructions have also appeared in which the length compensating coupling is arranged in the rear end of the transmission housing itself. This latter embodiment has the advantage that it has fewer parts and thus the manufacturing costs are lower, and that the length compensation coupling and its bearing can also be lubricated by the oil in the gear housing.
It has been shown, however, that with certain change gears of this type, the bearing of the length compensation coupling, which is arranged at the rear end of the rear housing part, receives too little oil and quickly runs hot, which leads to failure of the bearing.
This inadequate lubrication of the rear bearing is apparently due to the fact that the oil in the gear housing is thrown around by the centrifugal forces, which, with regard to the funnel-shaped housing, which is usually tapered to the rear, leads to the oil moving away from the length compensation coupling and its bearing is driven forward. The purpose of the present invention is to partially eliminate this after and to provide improved and forced lubrication for the bearing.
The change gear according to the invention, which is particularly suitable for motor vehicles, with a rearwardly tapering, funnel-shaped housing part with a bearing for the output shaft at the rear end, and with an output member which is designed so that it serves as a pump wheel of a centrifugal pump , the housing of which is formed by the housing part of the gearbox surrounding it, with oil being pumped from this pump to the front end of an oil guide
which extends backwards and inwards and opens at its rear end into the bearing at the rear end of the funnel-shaped housing part, so that this bearing is charged with oil, whereupon the oil returns to the front and thereby a closed circuit is fully completed characterized in that an inclined, a toothed ring and a radial support flange interconnecting part of a driven gear is provided with a plurality of angularly spaced angeordne th openings through which the oil when running the driven gear from the inside of the same to the inside of the surrounding housing part is thrown from where it gets into the oil duct.
Preferably, the part of the gear housing surrounding the pump wheel is shaped so that it catches oil thrown away by the driven wheel and deflects it towards the front end of the oil guide, de ren rear end z. B. leads to the outer part of a length compensation coupling provided with grooves and ribs, which is stored in the bearing at the rear Ge housing end. The oil guide can have a line which runs in the wall of the cast piece that forms the rear housing part of the gearbox.
If the change gear has a planetary gear, the wheel provided with an internal ring gear preferably serves as a pump wheel in order to convey oil through the planetary gear to the front end of the oil guide.
The application of the invention to a change gear with so-called overdrive for automo bile will now be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, for example, namely Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the rear part of the housing of a change gear and through the output gear of the latter, the shaft at its rear end it carries a sleeve slidably;
FIG. 2 is a partial view of the arrangement of FIG. 1 in the direction of arrow A in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the interior of part of the housing, in the direction of arrow B seen in fig.
According to the drawing, the output gear 10 of the gearbox at the rear end of the housing main part 11 is arranged. The change gear ent holds a planetary gear set and a coupling member, which serves either to couple the sun gear with the output gear 10 or with a stationary part, depending on whether a direct power transmission or an overdrive is desired. The overdrive can in addition to the planetary gear set have means to engage and disengage the clutch members of the latter, which tel are preferably formed by a hydraulic pump with a control mechanism.
These parts of the overdrive transmission, which are not illustrated because they do not form part of the present invention, are arranged in the main housing part 11, from the rear end of a tapering, funnel-shaped housing part 12 extends away.
The latter contains the output shaft 13 of the output gear 10 of the planetary gear set, which gear 10 has an internal ring gear 10a and is mounted by means of the shaft in an Ouer- and thrust bearing 14, which is in the area of the plane of the abutting flanges 15 and 16 of the main housing part 11 and rear Ge housing part 12 is arranged, which flanges are used to connect the two housing parts.
The back tere or free end 13a of the output shaft 13 is seen on its outside with ribs 7.7 and grooves ver and is in a grooved on its inside th and ribbed sleeve 18, which shells in a pair of spaced slide bearings 19, 20 is mounted , which are arranged in an axial bore 21 in the rear end 12 a of the rear housing part 12 Ge.
The rear end 18a of the sleeve 18 protrudes from the rear end 12a of the rear housing part 12, in which end the sleeve is slidably and rotatably mounted, and has a fork, not shown, which forms part of the front universal joint of the cardan shaft of the vehicle. An escape of the oil from the rear housing part 12 along the surface of the sleeve 18 is prevented by the arrangement of a sealing ring 22 between the rear end 12a of the rear housing part and the sleeve.
To prevent an inadequate oil supply to the journal bearing 23 formed by the plain bearing shells 19, 20, in which the sleeve 18 is slidably and rotatably mounted, by uselessly flinging the oil under the centrifuging effect of the rotating parts and the consequent conveying of the oil forward in To prevent the main housing part 11, the oil is forcibly passed from the main housing part to the journal bearing and a constant oil circulation is forced through this camp and maintained.
This is achieved in a particularly simple manner and without increasing the already large number of components in the transmission so that the output gear, ie the internally toothed gear 10 of the planetary gear set, acts as a pump wheel of a centrifugal pump. For this purpose, the inner surface 11a of the main housing part 11 is provided with an inwardly projecting, as a deflecting member 24 the nenden receiving rib, which, viewed in the direction of rotation of the internal gear, as shown by the arrow in Fig. 2, runs forward and after turned back.
This has the effect that pressurized oil always flows along the rear surface of the rib or of the deflecting element 24 in order to then pass via a bore 25 through the rear flange 15 of the main housing part 11 into a similar bore 26 in the adjoining flange 16 of the rear housing part 12 .
The oil then flows through a conduit 27 (see Fig. 1) which is drilled in the wall of the rear housing part 12 and extends to the rear end 12a of the latter where, as shown, it opens at 27a opposite the outer surface of the sleeve 18 , namely between the spaced-apart plain bearing shells 19 and 20 of the journal bearing 23, the space between the two bearing shells at the beginning of the journal bearing forms an oil chamber.
The deflector 24 is preferably arranged as Darge presents in the upper half of the housing main part 11, and the oil line 27 extends rearward and inward to the journal bearing 23, as can be seen from FIG.
In order to achieve the desired effect of the output gear 10 as a pump, it has a plurality of (plurality) of openings 28 distributed over its circumference, which extend through the inclined wall part arranged between the ring gear 10a and its radial support flange 10b.
In addition to the effect on the outlet side of the pump, this also generates a forced flow of oil to the rear via the planetary gears of the planetary gear set and counteracts the tendency for oil to be lost from the housing 11 through the oil filler neck, which is not provided, which is normally at the front The end of the main housing part 11 is located against which end the oil is normally thrown. The oil forced through the opening 27a in the described manner to the journal bearing 23 of the sleeve 18 then passes to the front through the plain bearing shell 19 and to the rear through the plain bearing shell 20.
In the cylindrical surface of the bore 21 there is a channel 29 which allows excess oil and the oil that has flowed through the plain bearing shell 20 to flow forward again through the natural centrifugal effect due to the rotation of the parts.
Through the lower part of the rear wall 11b of the main housing part 11 leads an opening 30 which allows the oil to return from the rear housing part 12 to the main housing part 11 so that the oil is constantly along the path shown by the arrows in FIG Circulation is maintained, the operating temperature of the transmission as a whole is kept relatively low substantially because oil is maintained circulating to and from the rear journal bearing 23 and through the planetary gear set.
