Description

Method for manufacturing a decorative or advertising panel and decorative or advertising panel obtained by this method The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a decorative or advertising panel.

This process is characterized in that one of the faces is provided with a translucent or transparent plate with a decorative or advertising motif which is covered with a layer of faceted particles on which one superimposes a reflective plate which in turn is covered with a support plate.

The invention also relates to the decorative or advertising panel obtained by the above-mentioned process.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the panel which the present invention comprises.

Fig. 1 is an overview in elevation. Fig. 2 is a sectional view along II-II of FIG. 1.

The panel shown in the drawing comprises a translucent glass plate 1 provided on one of its faces with a decorative or advertising motif 2 obtained by the application of transparent enamels and subsequent baking in the oven. The enamelled face of the glass plate 1 is covered with a layer of transparent varnish thanks to which a layer of silvery glass fragments 3, finely pulverized, is adhered thereto. Under the layer of silver glass debris 3 is arranged a reflective plate 4 made of silver metal, preferably striated. The assembly rests on a support plate 5 of opaque material and the whole is assembled in a metal frame 6.

Of course, the frame could be in any other material. Instead of being made of glass, the plate 1 could be made of plastic or other translucent or transparent material which must, however, be sufficiently heat resistant to withstand baking in an enamel oven. The reflective plate 4 can be a sheet of tin, aluminum or any other well-polished metal on the surface. The support plate 5 can be made of wood, cardboard, Pavatex (registered trademark), metal, etc.

The panel obtained by this process is very luminous due to the reflection and refraction of the light which illuminates it. The silver glass crystals, on the other hand, produce a sparkling effect when walking in front of the panel.

This process can be applied to the manufacture of advertising or decorative panels, for example for boxes, cabinetry objects, greeting cards, calendars, etc.
