Conveyor with a pump that works in both directions of rotation The invention relates to a conveyor with a pump that works in both directions of rotation and is connected to a suction and a pressure line through a pipe system, with a built in this pipe system control Direction which, in order to maintain a constant flow direction in the suction and pressure lines, automatically changes the flow direction in the pipe system if the direction of rotation of the pump and thus its direction of delivery changes.
In order to achieve independence of the flow direction in the suction and pressure lines from the direction of rotation of the pump, it has already been proposed that check valves be used as a means for reversing. The known arrangement is shown in FIG. Therein, the check valves are denoted by 1; 2 shows the gear pump. As can be seen from the solid and dashed arrows, the conveyed material is deflected by the check valves depending on the direction of rotation of the pump, so that the flow direction in suction line 5 and pressure line 6 always remains unchanged. However, the known has various shortcomings.
Thus, the need to use multiple valves is disadvantageous. Furthermore, the susceptibility to failure of these valves is disadvantageous. Even the smallest amount of contamination can cause the organ to leak, especially in the case of small check valves, where the proper functioning of the arrangement is no longer guaranteed. The required operational reliability is therefore not available.
In order to avoid the shortcomings of the acquaintances NEN, the control device according to the invention has a piston having a control slide, which is set to a pressure difference generated by the pump and due to change in the direction of the force acting on it when changing the direction of rotation of the pump in the the control cylinder connected to the pipe system performs the control movement. Such control spools are not as prone to failure as valves. This is particularly the case when, in one embodiment of the invention, the pipe openings in the control cylinder and the edges of the control slide are designed to be sharp-edged.
The shearing action occurring during the slide movement eliminates any jamming caused by any contamination. This embodiment thus represents a reliable device that can be manufactured with simple means.
In Fig. 2 an embodiment of the inventions to the invention conveyor is shown schematically represents. With 2 here a gear pump working in both directions of rotation, with 3 a double piston, with 4 a control cylinder, with 5 part of a suction line and 6 with part of a pressure line. The pump is connected to the suction line 5 and the pressure line 6 through the pipe system 7, 9, 12 and 13 shown. Furthermore, a built into this system control device is provided which has the control slide 3 and the cylinder 4 on.
The mode of operation of this arrangement is as follows: If the pump 2 rotates in the direction indicated by the arrows, a reduced pressure arises in the pipeline 7 and in the space 8, but an increased pressure in the line 9 and the space 10. As a result, the piston consisting of a double piston is displaced to the left as far as the stop 11 and assumes a position according to FIG. 3. The dashed line in this figure indicates the conveying path on which the gear pump moves the material to be conveyed.
If the direction of rotation of the pump changes, the double piston is pushed to the right by the different pressure conditions in the spaces 8 and 10 and the material to be conveyed through the corresponding pipes of the arrangement while maintaining the direction of entry and exit Suction line 5 and the pressure line 6 transported.
In a departure from the exemplary embodiment shown, a screw pump or another similarly acting pump could also be used instead of the gear pump.
