Device on indirectly acting compressed air brake to avoid overloading The invention relates to a further embodiment of the invention according to the claim of the main patent. This is based on a device of a known type in which the brake line is connected via two parallel line branches with a Druckkam mer, to which a control air tank via a filling valve, an auxiliary air tank, however, is connected via a check valve that enables its filling, in which further an auxiliary valve monitors a first of the two branches and in which a common,
the actuating element is provided under the influence of the pressure difference between the control air tank and the pressure chamber. According to the invention, the second-mentioned line branch is monitored by a shut-off valve that is only open when the brake is released in such a way that the pressure drop that occurs in the brake line at the beginning of braking is transmitted to the pressure chamber, where it opens the auxiliary valve that is closed when the brake is released for the purpose of maintaining the brake line pressure in the pressure chamber during the braking process,
and furthermore, the pressure of this container is maintained by the auxiliary valve upstream of the pressure chamber during the filling of the auxiliary air container in the pressure chamber when the brake is released via the first branch in order to prevent the control air container from being overloaded during the release process.
According to the invention, the filling valve mentioned in this patent claim, via which the control air container is connected to the pressure chamber, is designed as a double valve, which when opening the connec tion of the control air container with the pressure chamber at the end of the release process in this connection initially a stronger throttling and then a weaker throttling switches on.
It is already known to switch on the sensitivity bore contained in the connection between the control air reservoir and the brake line using two valves in stages. One of these valves, which monitors the closure and opening of the connection, was influenced by the brake cylinder pressure when it fell to a certain value, while the other valve, which monitors the width of the sensitivity bore, was controlled by another, three-pressure pressure Control valve controlled pressure actuated.
However, this type of actuation of the two valves is disadvantageous in that there is no clear relationship between the movement of these valves and the pressure in the brake cylinders when the brake is released in the individual control valves of a train. While at the end of the train the pressure increase in the brake line is generally so slow that the return of the control valve to the full eyelet position coincides practically with the emptying of the brake cylinder, the control valves at the head of the train get ahead in the brake line as a result of the rapid pressure increase there the complete emptying of the brake cylinder in the full release position.
It can therefore happen that, depending on the position of a car in the train, the sensitivity opening in the connection between the control air reservoir and the brake line is immediately switched on to its full width. On the other hand, the use of the brake cylinder pressure for controlling one valve is unsuitable because, as a result of any leaks in the brake cylinder, the pressure in the brake cylinder can fall faster than the increase in the pressure in the brake line normally corresponds to.
The additional invention is intended to eliminate the disadvantages described due to the fact that the double valve is actuated during the release process under the influence of the difference in pressures in the control air tank and in the auxiliary air tank. Since the first of these pressures does not change, the control of the double valve is only dependent on a single variable pressure, the increase of which occurs completely in accordance with the law during the release.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is below with reference to the drawing, which shows the device on an indirectly acting pressure air brake in a schematic representation, be written. From the brake line L, the line 5 leading via the throttle bore 4, the filling valve F and the check valve R branches off to the auxiliary air tank H. Another line 7, also branched off from the brake line L, runs parallel to this line, via a throttle bore 6, the shut-off valve A, the connecting line 28 and the non-return valve R to the auxiliary air reservoir H.
In addition, a chamber 8 of a three pressure valve D of the usual construction is connected to the brake line L, while a second chamber 9 of this valve is connected to the control air reservoir S and a third chamber 10 to the brake cylinder B. Between the chambers 8 and 10 is a through a throttle bore 29 with the outside air in communication Kam mer 12 into which a hollow valve body 11 rigidly connected to two membranes 13, 14 opens, which normally connects the chambers 10 and 12 with each other.
The chamber 8 closed at the bottom by the membrane 14 is separated from the chamber 12 at the top by a fixed partition in which the elongated valve body 11 is slidably guided and sealed. The chamber 10 is normally closed up by the fixed valve seat 15 and the flat spring-loaded valve disk 16 from the line 17 coming from the auxiliary air tank H and extending through the filling bore 30.
The filling valve F has a membrane 18 held at its edge in the Ven valve housing, on which an upwardly open, downwardly into a Drosselboh tion 35 opening pipe section 31 and a sleeve 36 are attached. The upper end of the pipe piece 31 protrudes into an opening designed as a valve seat 33 in a solid partition, and a valve disk 22 loaded by a spring 32 cooperates with the valve seat 33. The chamber 42 located above the valve disk 22 is connected to the main line L via the throttle bore 4, while the chamber 21 located below this valve disk is connected to the auxiliary air tank H via the connecting line 5 and the check valve R.
The bottom of the sleeve 36 is provided with an opening in which a pipe section 37 is displaceable with play, the upper end of which is designed as a valve disk 38 and works together with a valve seat 39 arranged in the bottom of the sleeve 36. The interior of the sleeve 36 is connected via the pipe section 37, which is open at the top and closed at the bottom, and a bore 26 with the chamber 20 connected to the control air tank S via the line 19. A spring 34 supported on the partition wall forming the valve seat 33 presses the membrane 18 downwards.
Another spring 41, which is significantly weaker than the spring 34, is supported on the one hand on the membrane 18 and on the other hand on the valve disk 38.
In the rest position shown in the drawing development of the filling valve F, in which the same pressures prevail in the chambers 20 and 21, the membrane 18 is pressed down by the spring 34 until the bottom of the sleeve 36 rests on the abutment 44 fixed to the housing. The pipe section 37 rests with its lower end on the bottom 43 of the housing of the filling valve, the valve disk 38 being lifted from its seat 39. The interior of the sleeve 36 is therefore in a throttled connection with the chamber 20 via the space between the pipe section 37 and the valve seat 39.
Since in the rest position of the filling valve F is provided, the pipe piece 31 is not applied to the valve plate 22, there is also between the interior of the sleeve 36 and the chamber 21 via the sensitivity bore 35 leading connection. When the pressure in the chamber 21 drops, the membrane 18 moves upwards together with the sleeve 36 and the pipe section 31 until the valve seat 39 rests on the valve disk 38. The previously existing urigedrosselte Ver connection of the chamber 20 with the interior of the sleeve 36 is thus replaced by a 26 leading connection via the Drosselboh tion. During the further upward movement of the membrane 18, the pipe section 37 is pressed down by the spring 41, so that the valve with the plate 38 remains closed.
Finally, the pipe section 31 pushes with its upper end against the valve plate 22, whereby the connec tion of the chambers 20 and 21 is interrupted. The further upward movement of the membrane 18 it now follows by lifting the valve plate 22 against the action of the weak spring 32, whereby the chambers 21 and 42 come into communication with each other.
The shut-off valve A is provided with two membranes 23, 40 of different effective areas, which between them enclose a chamber connected to the outside air. The larger diaphragm 23 is under the influence of the brake cylinder pressure via the connecting line 24, while the pressure in the chamber 25 acts on the smaller diaphragm 40. The valve disk 27, which is rigidly connected to the two membranes 23, 40, is used to monitor the connection between the chamber 25 and the brake line L and the line 7.
The mode of operation of the filling valve F in connection with the three-pressure control valve D and the shut-off valve A is the same as described in the main patent, as far as the filling of the empty containers, the braking processes and the beginning of the release are concerned. If the pressure in the auxiliary air tank H reaches the limit value for complete release of about 4.8 kg / cm2, the force of the spring 34 is sufficient to overcome the pressure difference counteracting it in the chambers 20 and 21 and moves the membrane 18 downwards until the lower end of the pipe piece 37 on the housing bottom 43 stands up.
Due to the lifting of the upper end of the pipe section 31 from the valve disk 22, the connection of the control air tank S with the Kam mer 21 and thus with the auxiliary air tank H is made. This connection, however, leads via the throttle bore 26, which is significantly narrower than the sensitivity bore 35, so that the control air reservoir S can only empty itself very slowly after the auxiliary air reservoir H.
As soon as the pressure in the brake cylinder has dropped to a value of around 0.5 kg / em2, valve A opens and the two containers H and S are removed from the brake line L </ I > Her over the line 7, the filling hole 6, the open valve A and the lines 5 and 28 fills up further. If the pressure difference in the chambers 20 and 21 drops to a value of about 1110 kg / cm2, the membrane 18 is returned by the force of the spring 34 against the force of the spring 41 in the starting position shown in the drawing, in which the Throttle bore 26 is switched off again.
As a result of the described activation of the throttle bore 26, in those cases where shortly before the brake is fully released and the valve A in the brake line L is already open, a low, the three pressure regulator D is not made to respond to pressure reduction, a rapid Ent emptying of the control air tank S via the Füllboh tion 6 and the sensitivity hole 35 after the brake line avoided.
