Appareil pour la nage La présente invention a pour objet un appareil pour la nage. Cet appareil est caractérisé par une armature formée d'un longeron central et d'une traverse située au voisinage d'une de ses extrémités, et par trois flotteurs fixés l'un à l'extrémité du lon- geron opposée à celle qui présente la traverse et les deux autres aux extrémités de cette dernière, le longeron portant en outre deux liens destinés à passer librement autour du corps du nageur, l'un sous les aisselles et l'autre sous le ventre, afin de le soutenir sur l'eau.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention.
La fig. 1 est une vue en perspective d'un nageur utilisant l'appareil suivant l'invention.
La fig. 2 est une coupe d'un détail, à échelle agrandie ; et la fig. 3 est une coupe de ce même détail, perpen diculaire à celle de la fig. 2.
L'appareil représenté comprend un longeron tubulaire 1 monté de façon coulissante dans la partie 2a d'un support 2 en forme de croix. Une vis 3 permet de bloquer le longeron dans le support. La partie du support 2 désignée par 2b porte deux tubes <I>4a</I> et<I>4b</I> formant ensemble une traverse perpendicu laire au longeron. Ces deux tubes sont également montés de façon coulissante dans le support et deux vis 5 permettent de les bloquer. Les extrémités libres des tubes 4a et 4b ainsi que l'extrémité postérieure du longeron 1 sont recourbées et portent chacune un flotteur 6.
Ces derniers sont articulés chacun sur un axe 7 parallèle à la traverse. Grâce à cette dispo- sition, l'armature constituée par le longeron et la traverse se maintient au-dessus de la surface de l'eau, à une hauteur variant avec la position angulaire de la traverse.
Le longeron 1 porte deux manchons 8 montés rotativement sur lui et empêchés de se déplacer axis- lement. Une sangle 9 passe sur chacun de ces man chons. Ces sangles sont destinées à entourer libre ment le corps 10 du nageur, l'une sous les aisselles, l'autre sous le ventre, et à le soutenir sur l'eau. Grâce au fait que les manchons 8 sont rotatifs, les sangles peuvent rouler sur le longeron 1, ce qui confère une certaine liberté de mouvement au corps du nageur ; ce dernier peut notamment se retourner pour nager aussi bien sur le dos que sur le ventre.
Les vis 3 et 5 permettent de libérer le longe- ron 1 et les parties<I>4a</I> et<I>4b</I> de la traverse, dans le but de régler la longueur et la largeur de l'appareil et de l'adapter aux dimensions du nageur. En outre, en faisant tourner la traverse sur elle-même, ce qui peut s'effectuer pendant l'emploi de l'appareil, on modifie la hauteur de l'armature au-dessus de la sur face de l'eau, et par conséquent, la profondeur à laquelle est placé le nageur.
L'invention n'est pas limitée à la forme d7exé- cution de l'appareil d'écrite et représentée: ces don nées constructives pourront être toutes différentes ; la position axiale des manchons 8 pourra être réglable. La forme et la dimension des flotteurs pourra varier. Ceux-ci pourront être montés sur les tubes de façon amovible, de manière à permettre un démontage rapide de l'appareil et à faciliter ainsi son transport. La grande base des flotteurs pourra en outre être démontable afin de permettre de les engager les uns dans les autres en vue de leur transport.
Cet appareil permettra non seulement d7appren- dre à nager, mais servira également à des nageurs expérimentés, et constituera un jeu attrayant sur les plages.

The apparatus shown comprises a tubular spar 1 slidably mounted in part 2a of a support 2 in the form of a cross. A screw 3 is used to block the side member in the support. The part of the support 2 designated by 2b carries two tubes <I> 4a </I> and <I> 4b </I> together forming a cross member perpendicular to the spar. These two tubes are also slidably mounted in the support and two screws 5 allow them to be blocked. The free ends of the tubes 4a and 4b as well as the rear end of the spar 1 are curved and each carry a float 6.
These are each articulated on an axis 7 parallel to the cross member. Thanks to this arrangement, the reinforcement constituted by the spar and the cross member is maintained above the surface of the water, at a height varying with the angular position of the cross member.
The side member 1 carries two sleeves 8 rotatably mounted on it and prevented from moving axially. A strap 9 passes over each of these sleeves. These straps are intended to freely surround the body of the swimmer, one under the armpits, the other under the belly, and to support him on the water. Thanks to the fact that the sleeves 8 are rotatable, the straps can roll on the spar 1, which gives a certain freedom of movement to the body of the swimmer; the latter can in particular turn around to swim both on the back and on the stomach.
Screws 3 and 5 are used to release lanyard 1 and parts <I> 4a </I> and <I> 4b </I> of the cross member, in order to adjust the length and width of the device and adapt it to the swimmer's dimensions. In addition, by rotating the crosspiece on itself, which can be done while the device is in use, the height of the reinforcement above the surface of the water is modified, and by therefore, the depth at which the swimmer is placed.
The invention is not limited to the embodiment of the apparatus written down and shown: these constructive data may all be different; the axial position of the sleeves 8 may be adjustable. The shape and size of the floats may vary. These can be mounted on the tubes in a removable manner, so as to allow rapid disassembly of the device and thus facilitate its transport. The large base of the floats may also be removable in order to enable them to be engaged in one another for the purpose of their transport.
This device will not only teach how to swim, but will also be useful for experienced swimmers, and will be an attractive game on the beaches.
