Dabei könnte man Verzögerungsmittel, z.
Method for weight-based dosing of pourable goods when filling them into containers and machines for carrying out the method
The patent relates to a method for weight-wise dosing of pourable, in particular finely powdered, goods that tend to clump, such as milk powder, chocolate powder, flour and the like, when filling them into containers.
The patent also relates to a machine for performing this method.
The exact weight and perfect filling of such goods is a difficult problem that cannot be dealt with satisfactorily with the commonly used weighing and filling processes.
In recent times specially developed methods for this problem, in which the material to be processed is conveyed with the help of a screw directly into the container to be filled and acting on a scale, the response of the scale being used to interrupt the drive of the screw and its Bringing promotion through braking to a standstill at the moment when the contents of the container reaches the target weight, have brought noticeable progress, but still have various disadvantages, which have the effect of limiting the achievable weight accuracy. For example, the time it takes to fully brake the screw depends on the specific weight of the product.
Fluctuations in this size, which are usually found in practice with the products in question, thus have a detrimental effect on the uniformity of the individual weighings. In addition, fluctuations in the electrical network voltage, which must be expected in many places, have similar consequences. The need to close the mouthpiece of the screw conveyor housing with a grid, a sieve plate or the like in order to prevent the material from flowing out when the conveyor is switched off can also be the starting point for weight fluctuations. This is because impurities of all kinds (sack fibers, hair, etc.) can adhere to this closing element, which affects the flow resistance and thus the braking time.
The inventive method, which aims to avoid the above disadvantages, is characterized in that the material to be dosed is conveyed directly into the container acting on a weighing device with the help of a screw, and that the response of the weighing device to the load caused by the container Inflowing material is used to close shut-off means arranged between the screw housing and the container, so that the inflow of the material to the container is interrupted at the moment in which the amount of the material that has flowed through the shut-off level has reached the target weight, and then the The screw is stopped.
In this way, the conditions at the end of the supply of material to the container to be filled can be better controlled and thus more uniform weights can be achieved, without impairing the conditions that allow the processing of the goods in question, which have unfavorable properties.
The machine according to the invention for carrying out the method is characterized in that a motor-driven screw is provided which conveys the material to be dosed into the container to be filled, which acts on a weighing device, and that shut-off means are also provided to prevent the material from flowing into the To interrupt the container, the weighing device, the shut-off means and the drive of the screw are in operative connection with each other in such a way that the response of the weighing device to the trigger weight causes the shut-off means to close and then the drive of the screw to be interrupted.
In the drawing show:
1 shows a perspective, schematic representation of an embodiment of the machine according to the invention,
FIG. 2 shows a section of part of this machine according to the horizontal plane II indicated in FIG. 1,
3 shows a section corresponding to FIG. 2 for a variant of the machine.
According to FIG. 1, a screw conveyor 1, which is driven by the motor 2, is arranged in the housing 3 so that it can rotate freely. Instead of under the cylindrical end 4 of the housing 3, two gate valves 5 and 6 are arranged. The gate valves 5 and 6 are attached to the shafts 7 and 8, which are rotatably arranged in bearing points not shown and attached to the machine frame. A toothed segment 9 or 10 is also attached to the shafts 7 and 8. Strong torsion springs 11 and 11 'act on the shafts 7 and 8 and exert oppositely directed torques on them, which tend to move the two gate valves against each other and close the cylindrical end 4 of the housing 3. These springs 11 and 11 '(see also FIG. 2) are supported at their upper ends on the toothed segments 9 or
10, while their lower ends are supported on a common support plate 11 ″ which is pushed onto both shafts 7 and 8 and which is provided with circular seats 11 ″ 'for receiving these spring ends.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, the gate valves 5 and 6 are shown in their open end position, in which they release the outflow from the housing 3. The two slides 5 and 6 are held in this position by the pawl 12, which is in engagement with the nose 13 provided on the toothed segment 10, against the action of the springs 11 and 11 '.
The pawl 12 is pivotably mounted at 14, on a pin, not shown, fastened to the machine frame. It is under the influence of the pull rod 15, which is connected to the armature of the electromagnet 16.
Below the cylindrical end 4 of the housing 3, the balance 17 is arranged, on the plate 18 of which the containers 19 to be filled are placed. The circuit of the magnet 16 is under the control of the balance 17. In the embodiment shown, it is an electrical balance, known per se, which is connected to the electrical network.
The connection of the motor 2 to the mains takes place with the interposition of a changeover switch which is contained in a control device 20. These control means are under the influence of the shaft 8 of the gate valve 6, which is provided with a lever 8 'at its upper end. In addition to its normal winding, the motor 2 contains a magnetic circuit built into the stator. If the power supply to the motor winding is interrupted by the changeover switch, the magnetic circuit is switched on at the same time, whereupon the generated magnetic field causes the motor to brake.
The machine described works as follows:
The filling process is initiated by opening the pair of slides 5 and 6. This happens e.g. B. by rotating the shaft 8 counterclockwise by acting on lever 8 '. In the case of semi-automatic machines, this action takes place manually; in the case of a combined form, fill, weigh and packaging system, it is controlled by the entire system. In the latter case, a control device is advantageously switched on, which ensures that this action on the part of the control can only take place when a container 19 to be filled has actually reached the plate 18. The rotation of the shaft 8, which is transmitted to the shaft 7 through the intermediary of the toothed segments 9 and 10, causes the two gate valves 5 and 6 to open. The springs 11 and 11 'are tensioned.
As soon as the slides 5 and 6 are sufficiently wide open, the pawl 12 loaded by a spring (not shown) slides over the nose 13 of the toothed segment 10 into the locking position shown in FIG.
So that the two slides 5 and 6 are held in the open position. The rotation of the shaft 8 has also adjusted the control device 20 and as a result closed the circuit to the motor 2. The screw 1 set in rotation by the motor 2 now conveys an even flow of material into the container 19 resting on the plate 18 of the scale 17. The scale 17 is set so that it responds at the moment when a material quantity corresponding to the target weight to be filled reaches the shut-off level happened. The response of the balance 17 closes the circuit of the electromagnet 16, the armature of which is attracted and, through the intermediary of the pull rod 15, pulls the pawl 12 back so far that the engagement with the nose 13 of the toothed segment 10 is canceled.
The shut-off valves 5 and 6 that have become free are now closed suddenly under the action of the tensioned torsion springs 11 and 11 '. In this way, immediately after the scales 17 respond, the exit cross-section from the cylindrical end 4 of the housing 3 is blocked and the material supply to the container 19 is thus immediately interrupted.
The clockwise rotation of the shaft 8 associated with the closing movement of the slides 5 and 6 causes the control means 20 to be adjusted in such a way that electrical braking of the motor 2 is initiated. Closing the slide prevents the weight accuracy of the individual weighings from being influenced by the fluctuations in relation to the period of time that is required in each case for the full braking of the screw.
Further effects which adversely affect the weight accuracy are eliminated thanks to the fact that in the machine described the use of a grille or the like on the mouthpiece of the worm housing 3 is superfluous. The weight accuracy achieved in this way is extremely high. After filling is complete, the container 19 is removed from the plate 18 of the scales 17, automatically in the event that the machine described belongs to a combined, fully automatic form, fill, weigh and packaging system, or by hand if it is is a semi-automatic filling machine. When responding to this relief, the balance 18 acts on the circuit of the electromagnet 16 and opens the same.
The magnet 16, which has become de-energized, releases the armature and the pawl 12 which is connected to it through the intermediary of the tie rod 15. The whole machine is now in its starting position again and the game can start again as soon as a container is placed on the plate of the scale. In the variant according to FIG. 3, a U-shaped electromagnet 21 is provided, the circuit of which is under the control of the balance 17. In contrast to the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the circuit of the magnet is energized here when the balance is unloaded. The two slides 22 and 23 are connected to the shafts 24 and 25 rotatably installed in the machine frame.
The shafts 24 and 25 also carry the mutually engaging gears 26 and 27, and the armatures 28 and 29. The tension springs 30, 31 acting on the armatures 28 and 29 endeavor to move the two slides towards each other and thus move them to bring into the closed position.
When the slide 22 and 23 are opened, which happens in exactly the same way as in the case of FIGS. 1 and 2, the armatures 28 and 29 come into the range of action of the poles of the U-shaped, energized electromagnet 21 and are attracted by this. In this way, the two slides 22 and 23 are held in their open position. The rotation of the shaft 25 also influences the control means 20 here and thus initiates the filling of the container. When the balance responds, in this variant the circuit to the electromagnet 21 is opened and the force of attraction acting on the armatures 28 and 29 is canceled, so that the two slides close suddenly under the action of the force of the tensioned springs 30 and 31.
The rotation of the shaft 25 associated with the closing movement of the slide adjusts the control device 20 in such a way that electrical braking of the motor is initiated.
When the filled container is removed from the scales, the scales respond to the discharge and close the circuit to the electromagnet 21. The whole machine is now back in its starting position, ready for a new game.
The variant according to FIG. 3 has no parts exposed to severe wear, such as. B. the pawl 12 and the nose 13 of the tooth segment 10. It should also be a little easier in terms of setting.
In order to avoid excessive loading of the magnet coil, it is advantageous to ensure that it is not energized for an unnecessarily long time. This is best achieved by providing a switch in the circuit to the magnet 21 which is open when the slides 22, 23 are closed, but which is closed when these slides are open, i.e. the filling process has started. The electromagnetic coil is then not flowed through by the current between the individual filling processes, which avoids unnecessary loading of the same.
The switch mentioned can easily be assembled with the locking device according to FIG.
The two illustrated examples of the machine according to the invention have two cooperating gate valves. It is clear that a single slide could just as easily be used.
The closing forces acting on the slides are generated by springs in the examples shown. Of course, other types of forces, e.g. B. magnetic, are used.
The method according to the invention is not tied to any particular type of balance. In principle, any weighing device responsive to a load can be used, which can be used e.g. B. would usually not be referred to as a scale because of the lack of a reading scale.
The control means (20) for the motor could also be influenced by the weighing device by bypassing the shut-off means. One could use delay means, e.g. B. use time relays to ensure that a time shift of the beginning of the braking of the screw occurs compared to the beginning of the closing movement of the shut-off means, despite simultaneous triggering of both processes.
