Die erfindungsgemäss verwendbaren Farbstoffe kön nen beliebigen Farbstoffklassen angehören. Es kann sich um metallfreie oder schwermetallhaltige Azofarbstoffe, wozu auch die Formazanfarbstoffe zählen, sowie um Anthrachinon-, Nitro-, Merhin-, Azamethin-, Styryl-, Azostyryl-, Naphthoperinon-, Chinophthal'on-, Oxazin-;
insbesondere Cycloammoniumgruppen enthaltende Azofarbs'toffe. Die farbigen Anionen solcher Farbsalze sind beispielsweise die Ionen von Farbstoff- carbonsäuren oder vorteilhafter von Farbstoffsulfonsäu- ren oder von komplexen Metallverbindungen metallisier- barer Farbstoffe, die aus einem Äquivalent 3wertigem;

Process for the continuous dyeing and printing of textile material made of cellulose ester The present invention relates to a process for the continuous dyeing and printing of textile material made of cellulose ester, the dye liquor used for this purpose and the textile material dyed or printed by this process.
In British Patent No. 504 558 a process for dyeing cellulose ester fibers in a continuous way using a mixture of organic solvents, e.g. B. alcohols and halogenated hydrocarbons u. a. with dispersion dyes, described.
According to French Patent No. 842 967, cellulose ester fibers can be colored with a solution of a dye in tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol which is diluted with an optionally halogenated hydrocarbon.
The dyeings obtained by these known processes on cellulose ester textile material, especially on CeDlulose-21 /: - and triacetate, however, have inadequate fastness properties, in particular low alkaline sweat and rub fastness.
It has now been found that strong and even dyeings or prints on textile material made of cellulose ester with good fastness properties and a white feel are obtained if this material is mixed with a solution of at least one dye in a mixture consisting of (a)
at least one preferably halogenated, between 70 and 150 C boiling carbon whitewater (b) at least one water-miscible organic solvent boiling below 210 C, preferably an amide of a lower fatty acid, where the weight ratio of (b):
(a) is in the range from 1: 200 to at most 1: 9, and (c) at least 0.1% by weight, based on the total weight of the coloring liquid, of a non-ionic auxiliary, in particular a polyglycol ether containing a lipophilic residue, is impregnated or printed and the color or
the color printing by a heat treatment of the treated. Delten material fixed at temperatures below the softening point of the material.
The heat treatment of the impregnated or printed, still moist or possibly already dry textile material is carried out primarily either by steaming at temperatures of around 100 to 103 C or by dry heat treatment (so-called thermosetting) at temperatures of at least 70 C, but below the softening point of the textile material.
Suitable hydrocarbons boiling between 70 and 150 ° C. which can be used as component (a) dye solutions according to the invention are, for example, aromatic hydrocarbons, such as toluene or xylene; however, these dye solutions preferably contain 50 to 99% by weight of halogenated, in particular chlorinated, hydrocarbons, e.g. B.
Chlorobenzene, but above all lower atiphatic halogenated hydrocarbons, namely chlorinated hydrocarbons, for example carbon tetrachloride, tri- or tetrachlorethylene, tetrachloroethane or dibromoethylene. Mixtures of such solvents can also be used as component (a).
As water-miscible below 210 C they Dende organic solvents in dye solutions to be used according to the invention come, for. B. in question: monohydric aliphatic alcohols such as lower alkanols, e.g.
B. methanol, xthanol, n- or iso-propanol, alkylene glycol moiwalkyl ether, such as ethylene glycol monomethyl or ethyl ether, then also tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol, or dihydric aliphatic alcohols such as ethylene glycol or 1,2-propylene glycol,
also lower aliphatic ketones such as acetone, lower cyclic ethers such as dioxane, or tertiary organic amines such as pyridine, and mixtures thereof. However, the amides of a lower fatty acid mentioned under (b) above are preferred, because if other organic solvents are used below 210 ° C., especially with alcohols, the dyeing liquid will be depleted in this component during continuous dyeing after a relatively short period of operation occurs, which can lead to uncontrollable failure of dye on the textile web to be colored.
When using alcohols, etc. as the second component, it is therefore necessary to take special measures to counteract depletion of the dye liquid; z. B. does not occur when the liquid is sprayed onto the textile web such a depletion of component (b). Dimethyl acetamide is preferred. 'The composition of the solvent mixture depends on the solubility of the dye or dye mixture used.
While using the components (a) and (b) alone, dyeings are often obtained in which the rubbing fastness fluctuates from point to point (zone to zone) of the surface of the textile material and is often insufficient in many places, one obtains when working with the above-mentioned dye solution according to the present invention dyeings or prints of consistently good rubbing fastness, regardless of the zone or location of the textile web which is subjected to rubbing.
Component (b) is preferably used in amounts of about 3 to 5% by weight, based on the total weight of the dye liquor or printing paste, because an improved feel of the dyed or printed textile material is achieved. Any reduced color yield that occurs is usually to be accepted here.
Polyglycol ethers, the lipophilic part of which consists of a higher aliphatic hydrocarbon residue of about 10 to 20 carbon atoms, have proven particularly useful as nonionic auxiliaries in the dye liquors or printing pastes according to the invention, which have a decisive influence on the formation of the desired evenly distributed rubbing fastness Polyether chain from about 5 to 20 Athylenoxygruppen be available, for. B.
Condensation products of a higher fatty alcohol or a higher fatty acid with ethylene oxide. Other polyglycol ether emulsifiers, e.g. B. those whose lipophilic portion consists of phenyl radicals substituted with higher alkyl groups also contribute to the formation of the desired uniform rubbing fastness, but the use of these poly glycol ethers worsens the wet fastness properties, in particular the fastness to washing and perspiration,
the coloration achieved sometimes slightly. It can also base nitrogen on pointing polyglycol ethers, z. B. polyglycol ethers of aliphatic, higher alkylated or higher acylated di- and polyamines can be used. Octadecenyl or oleoyl polyglycol ethers with 5 to 15 at'hyl'enoxy groups are preferred.
Preferably 0.5 to 3% by weight of nonionic auxiliary are used as component (c), based on the total weight of the solution.
The dyes which can be used according to the invention can belong to any dye classes. It can be metal-free or heavy metal-containing azo dyes, including the formazan dyes, as well as anthraquinone, nitro, merhin, azamethine, styryl, azostyryl, naphthoperinone, quinophthalone, oxazine;
Act 5-amino-8-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone or phthalocyanine dyes. Water-soluble dyes, alcohol-soluble dyes, dispersion dyes and color salts soluble in organic solvents are particularly suitable.
Color salts of this type are primarily understood to be those which are soluble in lower alcohols and ketones and in mixtures of such solvents.
The water-soluble dyes are in particular the so-called acidic wool dyes of the azo and anthraquinone series. Preferred azo dyes are mono- or disazo dyes, particularly acidic, metal-free azo and anhydrous azo-quinone dyes which contain only one sulfonic acid or carboxylic acid group and which contain heavy metals
Namely, azo dyes containing chromium or cobalt, preferably acidic and basic, make the groups-free, metallized monoazo dyes that contain 2 molecules of azo dye bound to 1 metal atom. Particularly 1-amino-4-arylamino-anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acids are to be mentioned as anthraquinone dyes.
Particularly suitable alcohol-soluble dyes are metal-free azo and certain phthaloeyanine dyes. The phthalocyanine dyes are mainly copper phthalocyaninesulfonic acid amides with substituted amide nitrogen.
Among the disperse dyes, preference is given to metal-free monoazo dyes which do not contain any acidic, salt-forming groups.
As color salts soluble in organic solvents, especially salts with organic cations and organic anions come into question, namely both color salts with colored cation and colorless anion, as well as color salts with colorless cation and colored anion and color salts with colored cation and colored anion.
The colored portion of these colored salts can be taken from any of the aforementioned dye classes. Preferred colored cations belong, for example, to the di- and triphenylmethane, rhodamine, oxazine, thiazine series, or they are quaternary ammonium,
in particular azo dyes containing cycloammonium groups. The colored anions of such color salts are, for example, the ions of dyestuff carboxylic acids or, more advantageously, of dyestuff sulfonic acids or of complex metal compounds of metallizable dyestuffs, which are composed of one equivalent of trivalent;
coordinatively hexavalent heavy metal, namely chromium or cobalt, and dyes that form two equivalents of bicyclic metal complexes, e.g. from the class of the o, o'-dihydroxy or o- Hydroxy-ö -carb-oxy-azo or -azomethine dyes exist.
Possible colorless cations in these salts are those of primary, secondary or tertiary organic amines of the aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic, aromatic or heterocyclic series or of cyclic amines.
As colorless anions in soluble salts of colored cations, the residues of organic acids, especially aromatic sulfonic acids, e.g. B. anions of alkyl-alkoxy-benzenesulfonic acids.
As salts of colored cations with colored anions, which are soluble in organic solvents, are, for example, Fälhtngsprodukte- from Dir or triphenylmethane or rhodamine dyes with possibly sulphated chromium or cobalt complexes of o,
o '- dihydroxy or o - hydroxy-o'-carboxy-azo dyes can be used.
The dye solution to be used according to the invention contains, preferably depending on the desired depth of color, 0.1 to 10% by weight of one or more of the dyes mentioned.
The textile material made of cellulose ester is preferably that made of cellulose tri- and especially -21 / 2-acetate. Said textile material can be dyed according to the invention in any form, for example in the form of flakes, sliver, yarn or - preferably - fabrics.
The cellulose ester textile material is impregnated, for example, by printing or spraying, but preferably by padding. In the latter case, the textile material is advantageously passed continuously through the dye solution at room temperature and then adjusted to the desired content of impregnation solution of approximately 30 to 150% by weight (based on the weight of the goods)
squeezed. Most of the solvent remaining in the textile material is then removed under mild conditions at 40 to 80 ° C., advantageously in a warm, dry air stream. The dye is fixed by steaming and preferably by a dry heat treatment. Contact heat, treatment with high-frequency alternating currents or irradiation with infrared are suitable for this.
However, the fixing of the dye on the textile material is preferably carried out in a hot air stream at 100 to 230 ° C, preferably at a temperature of at least 185 ° C.
The residence time of the dyed material in the dye solution, the drying of the impregnated material and the duration and temperature of the dry heat treatment for the purpose of fixing the dye on the fiber are dependent on the composition of the solvent mixture. The conditions or operations mentioned should be coordinated with one another in such a way that the fiber swelling is sufficient for dye absorption, but no detectable fiber damage occurs. The most favorable conditions for a given device can easily be determined in a preliminary test.
Solvent mixtures which allow a gentle coloring of sensitive cellulose 21/2 acetate ben, contain as component (a) z. B. 90-99 wt.% Between 70 to 150'i C boiling chlorinated lower aliphatic hydrocarbon, especially trichlorethylene, and as component (b) 10-1 wt.% Of a water-miscible, below 200 'C boiling organic solvent,
in particular 10-5% by weight of lower alkanol or tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol, or preferably 10-1% by weight of amide or alkyl or dialkyl amide of a lower fatty acid.
When using a dye solution which contains, for example, 90% by weight of trichlorethylene and 10% by weight of methanol as components (a) and (b), the residence time of the material to be dyed in the dye solution is preferably 1 to 4 seconds Duration of heat setting in an air stream of 170-220 ° C, advantageously 10 to 90 seconds, but not more than 120 seconds.
According to the process according to the invention, fibers made of cellulose 21/2 acetate in particular can be dyed in very deep shades, whereby these fibers surprisingly retain their silky handle, while according to the conventional dyeing method with aqueous dye or padding liquors they largely lose their characteristic handle .
Since the solvents used are recovered during the technical implementation of the process and fed back into the dyeing process, the problem of cleaning the waste water is eliminated, in contrast to previously known processes. In addition, there is no need for rinsing baths, which is another advantage.
According to the process according to the invention, uniform, brightly colored and genuine, e.g. B. dry cleaning, sweat and, in particular, non-rubbing stains.
In the following examples the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius. Example 1 5 g of dye of the formula

7.5) is solved. The intensely red colored solution is first cleared. Then you impregnate tissue made of cellulose 21/2 acetate with it at room temperature, squeeze the excess dye liquor to 100% of the dry weight of the goods and dry the impregnated tissue at 40-80 in an air stream. The tissue is then heat-set in an infrared heater at 190-210 for 100 seconds.
A strong, uniform and well-developed red dyeing with good fastness to dry cleaning, good fastness to perspiration and even, excellent rub fastness is obtained. Just as satisfactory dyeings with a slightly improved handle have been obtained by steaming the still moist material with saturated steam of 100 for 20 minutes instead of heat setting.
Even after being squeezed in the air, items that have been dried in the meantime can be steamed with equally good results.
If, in this example, instead of 30 g of dimethylacetamide, one of the water-miscible solvents mentioned in Table 1, column 2 below, is used in the amount given in column 3 and the rest of the procedure is as given in Example 1, uniformity is also obtained and well-developed, sharp, salmon-red dyeings on cellulose 21/2 acetate fabric with similarly good fastness properties.
