Method for producing a twist in out-of-round, thin-walled tubes, in particular waveguide tubes, in which the tube is deformed during the twisting so that the longitudinal axes of the two tube ends are offset vertically and / or horizontally from one another, and device for performing this method when making electrical Devices with rectangular waveguide tubes often have to be connected to a first waveguide with a second waveguide or some other similar component that is offset from the first waveguide.
The invention aims at a method and an apparatus for producing a twist, for example in a first Reehteckrohr to bring its end into alignment with that of a second, the horizontal and vertical axis of the second tube relative to the corresponding axes of the first tube twisted. are, and also the longitudinal axis of the second tube is offset vertically and / or horizontally relative to that of the first tube.
According to the above-mentioned goal, the method for producing a twist in non-circular, thin-walled tubes, in particular in waveguide tubes, in which the tube is still deformed during the twisting so that the longitudinal axes of the two tubes end vertically and / or horizontally offset against each other and in which one end of the pipe is held against rotation and the other end is rotated by the desired angle, characterized in that the pipe is internally supported and that the axis of rotation around which the other pipe end is twisted is opposite to the longitudinal axis of the pipe is offset,
in order to offset the longitudinal axes of the pipe ends against each other when the pipe is twisted.
The apparatus for practicing the procedural rens according to the invention is provided with a first clamp for holding a part of the tube and a second clamp which is removed from the first clamp and serves to hold another part of the tube and with a drive means for rotating a Force in relation to the other.
This device is characterized in that it comprises a reciprocating mandrel which is mounted in alignment with the openings of the first and second ferrules, the first ferrule is fixed to hold the tube against rotation with respect to the second ferrule, the second clamp is mounted rotatably about an axis offset with respect to the longitudinal axis of the tube and the drive means are equipped to bring the second clamp into rotation with respect to the first clamp about the offset axis of rotation.
An embodiment of the device according to the invention, which also serves to explain the inventive method, is shown in the drawing together with examples for the end product, namely: FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of the device mounted on a base which represents a known tube bending machine, with a stretched piece of rectangular tube that receives a twist, Fig. 2 the device in elevation, partly in cross section, Fig. 3 is an end view of a variant of the rotatable clamp,
Fig. 4 is an end view of a variant of the slidable clamp, Fig. 5 is an end view, partially in cross section, of the slidable clamp along the line 5-5 of Fig. 4, Fig. 6 is a side elevation, partially in cross section, of the rotatable clamp according to the line 6-6 of FIG. 3, FIG. 7 shows a perspective view of a part of the slidable clamp according to FIG. 4, FIG. 8 shows a perspective view of a further part of the clamp according to FIG. 4.
As in particular from Fig. 1 and 2 her- ', 12 denotes generally a subset, for. B. a tube bending machine with a rotatable vertical shaft 13, a bending head 14, and an actuator for driving the shaft, for. B. a chain 15 and a motor 16. On the base 12 there is also mounted a compression cylinder 17 for reciprocating a shaft mandrel 18.
In order to be able to use the structural elements and the drive of the known pipe bending machines for producing the twists, a first bevel gear 19 is attached to the vertical shaft 13. A sleeve 23 into which a horizontal shaft 24 (FIG. 2) is inserted is mounted on the base 12 by means of supports 20, 22. The base 22 is removably attached to the base 12 by means of bolts 21, whereby all components attached to the base 22 can easily be removed from the base 12.
At the front or right end '(Fig. 1 and 2) of the horizontal shaft 24, a second bevel gear 25 is attached, which meshes with the first bevel gear 19 in order to convert the vertical rotation of the vertical shaft 13 into a horizontal rotation of the horizontal shaft 24. By means of screws, a mounting plate in the form of a round disc 26 is attached to the left or rear end (Fig. 1 and 2) of the horizontal shaft 24, the locking pin has. A rotatable clamp, which will be described in more detail later, is denoted by 29. This clamp is welded to the disk 26.
Tubular slideways 36 are fastened to the two supports 20, 22 and extend over the bed length of the bending machine and end in a block 37 which is removably mounted on the base 12. Mounted on these slideways 36 is a slider 38 which consists of two complementary sections 39 and 40 which are held in the correct position on the slideways by means of bolts 42. A block 43 is rigidly mounted on the upper section 39. The clamp 45 shown schematically is removably mounted on the block 43 by means of screws.
The clamp 45 has a passage 46 with a rectangular cross-section for holding the other end of the rectangular tube section 35 to be twisted.
A flexible mandrel 47 can be mounted on the end of the shaft mandrel 18 and the cylinder 17 then actuated to set the mandrel 47 in the tube as shown in FIG. The tube could also be filled with a support medium, for. B. with sand or a metal of low melting point, before the pipe is inserted into the two ferrules. Then the motor 16 is started to rotate the vertical shaft 13, the two bevel gears 19 and 25, the horizontal shaft 24 and the rotatable clamp 29 in order to bring about the desired twist in the pipe.
In order to produce a twist in a piece of rectangular pipe, the pipe still being deformed so that the longitudinal axes of the two pipe ends are offset vertically and horizontally from one another, the clamp 45 in FIGS. 4, 5, 7 and 8 has a right-hand one Part 49 (Fig. 7), which is fixed by means of Zap fen 50 and screws 52 rigidly to the block 43 and has two openings provided with ver projections 53, which by means of a pin 54 can be pivoted to an opening 55 of a complementary L -shaped part 56 (Fig. 8) @ be fastened:
A lower part 57 is attached to the block 43 by means of pins 58 and screws 59. Obviously, the upright part 49 and the lower part 57 could also be combined into a single structure. In the closed position, the parts 49; 56 and 57 a rectangular passage 60 (FIG. 4) for grasping one end part of a rectangular tube section to be twisted. The part 49 is seen with a paragraph 62, the part 57 with a paragraph 63, and the part 56 with paragraphs 64- and 65 (Fig. 7 and 8) ver, these paragraphs protrude inwardly at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the passage 60 ,
to bump against the end of an inserted tube. The two parts 49, 57 also have bevels 66 and 67, and part 56 has bevels 68 and 69. Parts of these inclined surfaces are next to each other when the assembled clamp is in the closed position, which prevents relative displacement between the clamp parts. The inclined surfaces 66-69 further form an enlarged passage to facilitate the insertion of a mandrel into the interior of an inserted tube.
A hand lever 70 is hinged to the L-shaped part 56 of the clamp 45 by means of a pin 72 and has a slot 73 in order to be able to be brought into engagement by hand with a locking pin 74 rigidly attached to the block 43 in order to be able to engage the clamp 45 in a To hold the locking position.
The clamp 45 is mounted on the block 43 in such a position that the horizontal axis -1 (Fig. 4) and / or vertical axis B of the closed clamp and the inserted, zll twisting pipe piece relative to the axis of rotation of the horizontal shaft 24 by a lateral distance X and loder offset by a vertical distance Y.
The clamp 29 (FIGS. 1, 3 and 6) has a fixed L-shaped part 76 which is rigidly fastened to another disk 26 by means of pins 77 and screws 78 and is pivotable with a movable L-shaped part 80 by means of a pin 79 connected is. In the closed position, the fixed part 76 and the movable part 80 together form a right-angled passage 82 for holding an end part of the pipe to be twisted.
A locking arm is attached to part 80 by means of a pivot pin 84. 83 hinged, which can be connected by hand by means of a slot 85 (FIG. 6) to a locking rod 86 rigidly attached to part 76 in order to lock the clamp in its closed position.
When the horizontal axes C or A. and the vertical axes D or: B of the closed rotatable clamp 29 and the closed clamp 45 are aligned, these axes are opposite the axis of rotation of the horizontal shaft 24 by the lateral distance X and / or the vertical Distance Y = offset.
If a rectangular tube is to be twisted by means of the clamps described above and then deformed in such a way that the longitudinal axes of the two tubes end vertically and / or horizontally offset from one another, the sliding clamp 45 is adjusted according to the length of the The pipe section is adjusted in the longitudinal direction, and then the horizontal shaft 24 is rotated until the passage 82 is aligned with the passage 60. The two clamps 45, 29 are then opened,
and inserted the pipe to be twisted. Then the two clamps are closed and locked. The tube can be filled with a suitable plastic's material, or a mandrel can also be used in the set tube, whereupon the horizontal shaft 24 is rotated ge by the desired twist angle. The rotating clamp can be turned a full 90. If the horizontal distance from X was equal to the vertical distance Y, a total lateral offset equal to twice the lateral distance of the vertical axes of the aligned clamps 45 and 29 from the axis of rotation of the horizontal shaft 24 is achieved.
A wide range of dislocations can be obtained through a suitable choice of the lateral and vertical offset distances.
Obviously, the invention is not limited to the use of a bending machine as it has been described above. The horizontal catfish could of course also be on. mounted on any suitable base and provided with any suitable device for rotating the horizontal shaft.
Neither is the invention limited to a method or device for twisting rectangular tubes, son countries is suitable for twisting tubes whose cross-sections are not round, for. B. of hexagonal and octagonal tubes.
