Feed. and clamping device for rod-shaped material on automatic lathes The invention relates to a feed and clamping device for rod-shaped material on automatic lathes.
In the known automatic lathes with automatic feed and clamping for the material bar, this device is usually actuated via two curves, namely a feed curve and a clamping curve, which in turn can be actuated via a control shaft controlled by a quick-release coupling are driven with their drive couplable auxiliary control shaft. When the bar of material is used up, these two curves are shut down in these known lathes via a feed lever that cooperates with the feed curve by stopping the auxiliary control shaft.
A recess is provided in the feed curve into which the guide element of the feed lever is pressed with the aid of a spring, and by pivoting the feed lever a first lever lock is released and the drive of the auxiliary control shaft is switched off via a transmission mechanism. The shutdown. the control shaft takes place at the beginning of the advance of the feed slide with the collet open. Before inserting a new material bar, with the drive for the work spindle switched off, the auxiliary control shaft must be turned by hand until the feed cam moves the feed slide into its foremost position via its quick-release coupling, but the collet still remains open.
Now, with the new material rod, the remainder of the rod can be fully ejected and this can be advanced up to a small piece in front of the parting tool. The auxiliary control shaft is then rotated again by hand until the tension in the material and thus the circuit for the feed and tensioning device has ended. Then the drive for the work spindle is engaged to the next and then the Steuerwellenan drove. The operator must therefore perform a rotary movement of the auxiliary control shaft twice by hand, the first of which must be precisely limited because of the closing of the collet. This is very time consuming and at the same time requires great attention from the operator.
Even if an electromagnetic clutch is used for the shut-off clutch and this can be actuated by intermittent tapping, or if the auxiliary control shaft is driven by a special electric drive, these disadvantages exist.
In order to avoid the disadvantages of the known devices, in the device according to the invention the clutch can be re-engaged by a hand lever and then held in the engaged position by a second catch which can be released by the feed slide in its front end position . The first latching advantageously takes place with the collet closed.
The second stop of the auxiliary control shaft can take place via the feed slide by releasing the second lever lock, and the drive of the auxiliary control shaft can be stopped via the transmission mechanism. The construction of the second latching is preferably formed between the mist latched with the aid of the first latching and a lever that can be actuated by the feed slide, the first latching being offset by a predetermined amount with respect to the second latching.
In addition, the second catch is advantageously opened during normal operation of the lathe by a stop abutting against the first-mentioned lever.
In the drawing, an execution example of the invention is shown. 1 shows a side view of an automatic bar lathe with feed and clamping device, FIG. 2 shows a partial section through the feed and holding device in a first position approximately along line 2-2 of FIG. 4 on a larger scale, FIG. 3 shows a partial section approximately along line 3-3 in FIG. 4, FIG. 4 shows a partial section approximately along line 4-4 in FIG. 1, FIG. 5 shows a larger-scale development of the feed and tensioning cam, FIG. 6 shows a partial view 2 on an enlarged scale, FIG. 7 a partial section corresponding to FIG. 2, but with the device in a second position, FIG. 8 a partial section corresponding to FIG.
3 with the device in the second position, FIG. 9 a partial section corresponding to FIG. 3 with the device in a third position, FIG. 10 a partial section corresponding to FIG. 9 with the device in a fourth position. According to FIG. 1, an underframe is denoted by A, on which an upper frame B rests. At C a turret slide and at D a headstock can be seen. E with the front thrust and clamping device for a work material rod 10 is referred to, which will be explained in more detail below. The collet 11 is shown in dashed lines in Fig. 1, and the feed tube 12 with feed pliers can be seen in Fig. 2 and extends into the vicinity of the collet.
The constructive details of the feed and tensioning device will now be explained in more detail with reference to FIGS. 2, 3 and 4.
The feed and tensioning device E is partly housed in a feed housing 14 which is attached to the upper frame B and carries a parallel to the axial direction of the spin delstockes on a Füh 16 slidably arranged feed slide 15, which in a known manner the feed pipe 12 connected to it causes the workpiece to advance.
In the feed housing 14, a shaft 18 is mounted, on which by means of a wedge 20 (FIG. 4) a feed cam 19 is non-rotatably arranged, which is connected by a bolt 21 to another clamping cam 22 provided on the shaft 18. In one with. 23 of the curve 19, a roller 24 (FIG. 4) can slide which is fastened to the lower end of a double-armed lever 26 which is pivotably arranged on a journal 25 mounted in the feed housing 14. is. and which a spring 83 tries to pivot counter-clockwise.
In a groove 27 arranged at the upper end of the lever 26, a stone 28 can slide, which is adjustably arranged in a groove 17 in a part 29 fixedly arranged on the feed slide.
In a groove 30 of the clamping curve 22, a roller 31 can slide, which is angeord net at the lower end of a double-armed fork lever 32 which is mounted on a pin 33 in the advance housing 14 and with a fork 34 at its other end in a Annular groove 35 engages with the collet 11 to cooperate clamping sleeve 36 (Fig. 2). The details of this clamping device are not described in more detail, since they can be of a type known per se.
On the in the drawing (see in particular special Fig. 4) the outer right end of the shaft 18, which is still mounted at 181 in the upper frame, a gear 13 is rotatably arranged by means of a pin 37, which meshes with a gear 38 of the same number of teeth . This latter gear is provided with claws 40 and by means of this with a quick sehaltkupplungteile 42 in engagement. Both parts run loosely on an auxiliary control shaft 39 which is mounted at 41 in the upper frame (Fig. 4).
The quick-release coupling part 42, which is operated in a known manner, not shown, via a control shaft, not designated, always performs a full revolution when switched on until it is switched off again. When the clutch is in the switched-on state, the quick-change clutch part 42 engages in a double-sided toothed clutch sleeve 44 which is firmly arranged by means of a pin 43 on the auxiliary control shaft 39. With the help of a continuously rotating pulley 45, the drive of which is not shown, a shaft 50 mounted in the feed housing 14 is driven.
The coupling piece 51 is actuated by a coupling fork 53 which is non-rotatably arranged on a shaft 54 mounted in the upper frame (FIGS. 3 and 4). The fork engages in an annular groove 56 of the coupling piece 51. On the shaft 54 another lever 57 is rotatably attached, at the lower end of which at 58 a rod 59 is articulated, the left end in the drawing (Fig. 3) with a three-armed lever 60 at 61 ge is hinged. The lever 60 is rotatably mounted on a pin 62 fixed in the feed housing 14 (see in particular FIGS. 3 and 4), and its short arm 63 acts on an arm 67 of a two-armed lever 65 which is rotatably mounted in the feed housing 14 by means of a pin 64 is.
The pin 64 penetrates the feed housing, and a hand lever 66 is attached to its end protruding outward. On the second arm 68 of the aforementioned lever 65, a rod 70 is articulated at 69, which with its upper part penetrates an arm 71 of a three-armed lever 72 and carries a plate 73 at its end. The aforementioned three-armed lever 72 is mounted in the pre-lift housing 14 by means of a pin 74. At the end of the arm 75 of the three-armed lever 72 a locking pin 76 is arranged, which can interact with a locking pin 77 of the arm 103 of the three-arm lever 60, with a spring 78 counterclockwise the arm 75 and a tension spring 102 counterclockwise the arm 103 as well Tried to turn clockwise.
On the third arm 79 of the three-armed lever 72, an angle lever 81 is rotatably superimposed by means of a pin 80, whose one downward arm can strike against a pin 82 (Fig. 2) attached in the feed housing and whose other arm carries a pin 84, which cooperates with a pin 85 arranged on the lower arm of the front lifting lever 26. A spring 86 tries there to press the angle lever 81 against the pin 82.
With the help of a pin 88, another angle lever 87 is mounted in the feed housing 14, one of which, upwardly directed arm has a nose 89 which can work with the feed slide 15. At the end of the second arm of the angle lever 87, a locking pin 90 is arranged, which cooperates with a second locking pin 91 at the end of the upwardly projecting arm 103 of the three-armed lever 60. The two catch pins 90 and 76, which cooperate with the catch pins 91 and 77 of the three-armed lever 60, are offset against one another by an amount a (FIG. 3).
On the upward arm of the angle lever 87 acts a compression spring 92, which tries to rotate the angle lever 87 counterclockwise. On the substantially horizontal arm of the angle lever 87, a stop lug 93 is arranged behind the locking pin 90, which can cooperate with the end of the arm 103 of the three-armed lever 60 ken.
The operation of the construction described Kon is now as follows: Figs. 2, 3 and 4 show the position of the feed and clamping device in the usual mode of operation of the machine, in a position in which the shaft 18 a certain part of the revolution and the roller 24 has passed the recess 94 of the groove 23 of the curve 19 visible in FIG. After completion of a workpiece is released from the control shaft, not shown, each one full turn performing quick-change coupling part 42 when it is switched on and coupled with the coupling sleeve 44 until it is automatically decoupled again from the latter after one rotation in a manner not shown in the drawing.
The feed curve 19 and the clamping curve 2'2 thus also execute a full revolution via the gearwheels 38 and 1.3 and the shaft 18.
The feed lever 26 is under the action of the compression spring 83, the pressure of which is set in a manner not apparent from the drawing so that it is less than the frictional force of the open feed tongs on the material bar. As long as the front sehubzange when the feed sehlittens 15 goes back on the bar 10 glides, so the compression spring 83 does not come into effect. As a result, the roller 24 of the feed lever 26 does not slide into the recess 94 of the feed curve 19 already mentioned (Fig. 4). Here, the catch pins 76 and 77 are gassed, and the nose 93 of the angle Liebels 87 rests on the upper end of the arm 103 of the lever 60, so that the catch pins 90 and 91 are released.
If, however, after finishing the last workpiece from the material rod, the feed tong snaps off your remnant piece of the material rod, the compression spring 83 comes into effect and the roller 24 of the feed lever 26 runs into the recess 94 of the feed cam 19. As a result, the feed lever 26 swings with its lower arm counterclockwise by a certain amount, so that its pin 85 over the pin 84 pivots the angle lever 81 counterclockwise against the action of the compression spring 86 until you see pin 85 on the right from pin 84 (see Figs. 2 and 4).
If the further turning of the feed cam 19, the roller 24 leaves the recess 94 again, the feed lever 26 tries to pivot the angle lever 81 clockwise. Since this is supported with its downward arm against the stationary pin 82, the angle lever 81 gives way by pivoting the three-armed lever 79 clockwise, to which it is hinged at 80 (cf. the position according to FIG. 8). As a result, the locking of the lever 79 by the locking pins 76 and 7 7 is released (Fig. 8).
(At the same time, by pivoting the arm 71 downwards and lifting the arm 67, the coupling between the coupling piece 51 and the coupling sleeve 44 is activated under the action of the tension spring 102 via the lower arm of the lever 60, the rod 59, the lever 57, the The shaft 54 and the fork 53 are released, the auxiliary control shaft 39, the pair of gears 38 and 13 and the shaft 18 with the feed curve 19 and the tensioning curve 22 come to a standstill, this position in FIG Curves in development shows, recorded and labeled h - I ..
In this position, the nose 93 has also slipped off the upper end of the arm 103 of the lever 60. At that moment are the roles. 24 and 31 of the two curves in the ge recorded position, namely the roller 24 behind the recess 94 and the roller 31 in front of the curve point 95 of the groove of the clamping curve, in which see the collet 11 opens. In the position I-I when the two curves are stopped, the collet 11 is still closed, which prevents the rest of the material bar from working itself out of the work spindle while the work spindle is still running and can damage the tools.
If one of the movements described above, for example the movement of the lever 60, actuates a signal, for example a. in a leading to a lamp 96, with a power source 98 verbun those.
Circuit arranged switch 9 7 is closed, the operator's attention is drawn to the fact that the auxiliary control shaft 39 is switched off from the drive shaft 50, whereupon the operator now also switches off the drive of the tool spindle. As long as the machine is still running out, the operator engages the hand lever 66 again, whereby the lever 60 is pivoted over the arm 67 of the lever 65 in a clockwise direction. As a result of this pivoting, the catching pin 90 of the angle lever 87 is locked in place finitely by the catching pin 91, while the lower catching pins 76 and 77 are not yet locked because of the above-mentioned offset a (cf. FIG. 9).
By pivoting the lever 60, the coupling piece 56 is coupled again to the coupling sleeve 44 via the rod 59, the lever 57, the shaft 54 and the fork 53. As a result, the constantly rotating shaft 50 via the aforementioned clutch 56, 44, the pair of gears 38, 13, the shaft 18 and thus the feed cam 19 and the tension cam 22 are set in rotation. During this rotation, the collet 11 (Fig. 1) is opened when the roller 31 passes the cam 95 (Fig. 5), and in addition, the feed carriage 15 is moved into its right position in the drawing when the roller 24 is the Curve piece 96 which happens with the feed curve 19 (cf. FIG. 10).
Since the upwardly projecting arm of the angle lever 87 is in the area of the front sehubsehlittens 15, the front part of the feed slide pushes against the nose 89 of the angle lever, whereby the angle love] is pivoted clockwise. As a result, the three-armed lever 60 is released by releasing the catch pins 90 and 91 a second 12i.1 and thus the coupling between the coupling piece 51 and the coupling sleeve 44 is released a second time in a manner similar to that described above.
The feed slide 15 remains in its front position with the collet 11 still open, and this position is denoted by II-11 in FIG. 5. Now a new material rod 10 is inserted and with this the remaining rod remnant is pushed out. Subsequently, the work spindle is set in motion again and the auxiliary control shaft 39 is switched on by pivoting the hand love 66 counterclockwise, whereby the three-armed lever 60 with its lower catch pin 77 is locked with the catch pin 76 via the arms 67 and 63 .
The angle lever 87 remains in the raised position until the feed slide goes back (FIG. 10) and then lies down with it. his nose 93 against the upper end of the lever 60 immediately behind the catch pin 91, whereby it is held in the position shown in FIG. 3 so that the catch pin 90 and 91 are not locked.
