Electromagnetically operated valve control In the case of electromagnetically operated valve controls, such as those used particularly in electrical switchgear controlled by compressed gas, control valves are used that consist of individual valves that are rigidly coupled to one another.
While the main valve controls the supply of pressure gas to a certain system - in particular switching system, the secondary valve is used for venting the system, in particular part of the system, which is now shut off from the supply of compressed air. The last-mentioned valve also closes: the ventilation connection to the outside air when the main valve releases the compressed gas supply.
The valve group is limited in the idle state by the closure of the main valve, in the actuated state by the visual flow of the auxiliary or vent valve. If the valve is actuated by the electromagnetic drive, its stroke must be slightly larger than the valve stroke so that the vent valve closes reliably.
According to the rigid coupling between the armature of the electric magnet and the valve stem, a small air gap must therefore remain between the armature and core of the magnet. -If the drive magnet is excited with direct current, this is meaningless. He follows. However, if the drive magnet is excited with the help of alternating current, the armature begins to vibrate, not only causing an annoying buzzing noise, but also smashing the valve seat of the vent valve so that the latter no longer seals satisfactorily after a short period of operation.
The invention now relates to an electromagnetic valve control, in particular for electric Druckgasscha, lter, in which a main valve for the compressed gas supply and a secondary valve. are provided for venting a part of the system and in which the aforementioned disadvantages are safely avoided.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the armature of the electro-magnetic drive is mechanically coupled to the common plunger of the main and secondary valve via an elastic intermediate member, preferably a compression spring. If, in the valve control according to the invention, the secondary valve has closed in the course of actuation, the armature of the electromagnetic drive can continue to run while tensioning the elastic intermediate member until it comes to rest against its opposite pole.
In this position he is held, if necessary with the support of the magnetic effect of eddy currents in the solid armature or currents in short-circuit rings, free of snarling and sehwingüngs. The vent valve remains reliably closed while avoiding any destructive effect. By also advantageously using the elastic intermediate member, preferably a pressure:
spring, which is kept adjustable in tension, effortlessly takes account of signs of fatigue and the adaptation to special local conditions.
In the drawing is. a particularly simple and advantageous example of the electromagnetically actuated V entilst.ene- tion according to the invention is shown schematically. Since this is an exemplary embodiment, the invention as such is not limited to this.
It means 1 the valve body, which the main valve 2 with an elastic buffering indicated by cross hatching 2 for valve seat and! Includes plunger 6 and the valve 3 controlling the vent. In the non-actuation case dx, the spring 2a, which is still provided, and the buffering 2 carry the valve piston 2b against the valve seat. The direction of the compressed gas supply is indicated by an arrow.
The compressed gas takes its way through the bore 2e. The system part to be charged with compressed gas or to be vented from it is ruled out to the bore denoted by 5 and opening into the vertical channel 5a. When the valve 3 is open, the channel 5a is with the further bore 4 and this with it. the outside air in connection. The plunger 6 opens the valve 2 when the valve 3 is closed and releases the former to close by the closing spring 2a when the valve 3 is opened.
The rod-shaped part 7 is permanently connected to the plunger 6 via the sliding piston 6a. The drive electromagnet is denoted by 11 in its core part, by 12 in its winding part and by 8 in its armature. The eats with the rod-shaped part 7 via the spring 9 elastically coupled. The latter rests on the one hand against the plunger extension 7 and on the other hand against the locking screw 10 built into the armature.
The tension of the spring 9 can be adjusted within certain limits with the aid of the last-mentioned cap.
The mode of operation is as follows: If the coil 12 is supplied with current, the armature 8 goes downwards, taking along the ram extension 7 of the sliding piston 6a and the actual ram 6. In the course of this movement, the vent valve 3 closes and the compressed gas valve 2 opens. Further movement of parts 2, 3, 6 and 7 is then no longer possible after valve 3 has closed. However, the anchor 8 itself continues to run until it strikes the horizontal part of the core 11. Here: it is held magnetically in a known manner.
The armature vibrations that occur with the previous valve control units are therefore made impossible.
