Mechanically actuated disc brake The present invention relates to a mechanically actuated disc brake with a circumferential brake housing and two axially movable axially and each from a certain position in a rotary direction on the outside with a rotating brake housing and two mounted on a stationary brake carrier is equipped with a brake lining and brake disks with recesses on the inside,
which are connected to one another via balls mounted in the recesses and are rotated relative to one another during the braking process, thereby axially pressed apart and pressed against the rotating brake housing.
Such brakes exist. the difficulty that due to the rotation by mechanical means at the same time an undesired shifting of the disks against each other occurs and is caused by strong friction on the brake carrier, which carries the two brake disks. This has a disadvantageous effect on the mechanical efficiency of such a brake.
The invention is based on the object of avoiding this disadvantage in that the two brake disks can be rotated relative to one another by means of two actuating devices which are arranged offset by 180 and are coupled to one another.
Due to the double arrangement of actuating parts, the actuating force on the discs is divided into two halves, and the force transmitted to the two brake discs acts so evenly that essentially a pure rotation of the brake discs and no displacement perpendicular to the axis occurs. In this way, the friction of the brake disks on the brake carrier is greatly reduced and the mechanical efficiency of the disk brake is improved.
In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject invention is shown, namely Fig. 1 shows a disc brake in view, partially cut along the line I-1 in Fig. 2 GE, and Fig. 2 is a section along the line II-II in Fig. 1.
The rotating brake housing 1 is connected to the shaft 2, which passes through the fixed brake carrier 3, on which the brake discs 4 and 5 are axially movably mounted in one direction of rotation, depending on a certain position. A stop 6 is arranged on the Brenis disk 5 which, in said position, abuts against part of the brake carrier 3 (Fig. 1) so that it cannot rotate further clockwise than is shown in FIG.
In an analogous manner, the brake disc 4 is finitely provided with a stop 7, so that it is prevented from rotating in the counterclockwise sense from the aforementioned position by the brake carrier 3 (FIG. 1).
The brake linings 8 are mounted on the outside of the brake disks 4 and 5, and recesses 9, 10 with inclined surfaces are provided on the inside. In these recesses, which are evenly distributed over the circumference, there are balls 11, via which the brake disks are connected to one another and which press the brake disks axially from one another when the brake disks rotate relative to one another as a result of running on the saw surfaces.
The two shafts 12 and 13 mounted in the brake carrier @ 3 carry cranks 1-I. With the cranks in a pivotable connection are two pressure organs arranged offset by 180, each composed of a pressure piece 15 and a pair of rollers 16. The pairs of rollers 16 press in a wedge-like manner each against an inclined surface 17 of the disc 5 and an inclined surface 18 of the disc J.: lIitnehmerhe: bel 25 and 26 are in positive connection with the shafts 12 and 13, while the levers 19 and 20 the shafts 12 and 13 rotatably mounted.
and pivot the cranks 1.4 via the adjusting screws 24 and the driver levers 25 and 26.
The adjusting screw 24 of the driver lever 25 acts on the arm 23 of the lever 19, while the adjusting screw 24 of the driver lever 26 acts directly on the lever 20.
By means of this device, manufacturing inaccuracies can be compensated for by means of the adjusting screws and, if the brake disks are used, they can be readjusted without the starting position of the levers 19, 20 and the rod 21 changing.
When the roller wedges are reset, the brake discs are pulled back into the rest position against each other by the force of the springs 22.
The function of the brake is as follows: By adjusting the. Actuating rod 21 in the arrow line (Fig. 1) who swiveled the cranks 14 so that the pairs of rollers are pressed between the inclined surfaces 17, 18 and the brake discs are rotated dadureli relative to each other.
As a result of the balls 11 running on the visible surfaces of the recesses 9, 10, the brake disks move axially away from one another until the brake linings 8 come into contact with the rotating brake housing 1. The resulting frictional force tries to drag the brake discs with it.
Depending on the direction of rotation, however, one of the brake discs is prevented from rotating by means of the stop 6 or 7 on the brake carrier 3, so that the braking torque can be transmitted there on the magnitude of the adjusting force on the actuating rod 21, so that the strength of the braking can be influenced.
Instead of parts acting like wedges, other devices for rotating the brake disks could also be provided.
