Winding head for a machine for winding the stators of electric machines The machine execution of the windings of the stators of electric machines, and especially of induction motors, as it results from the provisions described in patents Nos. 267789 and 275587, can be carried out by means of mechanically or hydraulically controlled machines. To ensure operation adapted to production rates, operations can be made fully or partially automatic. The conditions of more or less total automaticity then led to grouping together the transfer and winding-forming members (telescopic cones and combs) in assemblies called winding heads.
The present invention relates to a winding head, the object of which is to allow the winding, with the same winding machine, of stators of different diameters and lengths of iron, and this within fairly wide limits.
To this end, the winding head according to the invention for a machine for winding the stators of electric machines by passing through the notches of the stator, by radial thrust, windings arranged beforehand in corresponding notches of a false rotor dis placed in the axis of said stator comprising a central shaft, a certain number of telescopic tubes with frustoconical ends slidably mounted on the end of the central shaft, a camshaft parallel to the central shaft and rotating around its axis and a lock mounted in a guide piece capable of sliding on the central shaft,
said lock comprising one end sliding on the different stages of the camshaft and selectively driving the telescopic tubes through its other end, during the sliding of the guide piece on the central shaft, is characterized in that the shaft cen tral and the camshaft are capable of smoothing axially in a common body and are integral with one another in this sliding.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the cleaning head forming the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows, partially in section, the central shaft and the camshaft integral with one another.
Fig. la is a section along the line la-la of FIG. 1.
Fig. 2 is a section through the plane of the axes of the two shafts.
Fig. 3 is a section through a plane perpendicular to the previous one and passing through the axis of the central shaft.
Fig. 4 is a section through a plane perpendicular to the axis of the central shaft and passing through the axis of the camshaft tilting control rack. Fig. 5 is a section through a plane perpendicular to the axis of the central shaft and not through the axis of the lock.
Fig. 1 is schematic and will make it possible to better understand the very principle of the invention. The head shown in this figure comprises a central shaft 1, linked to a camshaft 2 by a mechanical connecting member 3. The bearing face 4 of the central shaft on the spindle 8 of the dummy rotor still has this makes the same relative position with respect to stages 5, 6, 7, provided on one of the faces of the camshaft 2.
In the case of stators of the same diameter and of different lengths, a rocket 8 of constant length is adopted for the false rotors, it follows that the triggering of the lock 9, when it approaches the different stages of the shaft with cams, will be done for the strokes of the tubes 10, 11, 12 always the same, corresponding to a radial displacement always the same of the pushers.
But, in this process, the bearing face 4 of the central shaft can be in any position in space which depends only on the total length of the dummy rotor, therefore on the length of the notched part of it. this, and therefore, ultimately, the length of iron of the coil stator, since the rockets have a constant length.
As regards the possibility of winding stators with different bore diameters, this will only result from the total thickness at the end of the stroke of the various tubes sliding on each other, the internal diameter of the notches of the dummy rotor remaining substantially the same in all cases. This total thickness can be modified by changing either the number of tubes, or the thickness of these tubes, or both simultaneously. The winding of stators of different bore diameters is therefore carried out by modifying the number or the thickness of the tubes or both simultaneously.
As the number of stages of the camshaft corresponds to the number of tubes, all or only a fraction of the number of stages will be used depending on the bore diameter of the stator to be wound, which will be achieved by means of a judicious choice of the length of the rockets of the corresponding false rotors.
It can therefore be seen that the winding head described makes it possible to - wind stators of the same diameter and of different lengths without others, on condition that the corresponding false rotors have stub axles of constant length; - winding stators of the same length and of different diameters, on condition that the number and thickness of the telescopic tubes are modified accordingly, and that a suitable length is chosen for the spindles of the false rotors.
The fact, moreover, of having gathered all the transfer and winding forming members in a winding head allows the rapid adaptation of the desired number of tubes to the appropriate thickness by a rapid fixing process. known per se.
The winding head shown in fig. 2 to 5 comprises a body consisting of three parts 13, 19, 20, connected by the intermediate part 21 and closed by the cap 18. The central shaft 22 is the extension of the central piston 14, which controls its longitudinal movement. . The camshaft 23, in which a toothed sector 17 is fitted, is rigidly linked to the central shaft 22 by the connecting member 24, embedded in a recess of the piston 14 and secured to the camshaft. 23. The toothed sec tor 17 allows the camshaft 23 to perform a rotational movement around its axis under the action of a rack 38, itself moved by the piston 39.
The different stages provided on one face of the camshaft are shown at 33, 34, 35, 36 and FIG. 5 shows the face 40 of said shaft which allows the tubes to be released after rotation of a fraction of a turn of the same shaft, a fraction which, in the example shown, is equal to a quarter of a turn.
The part 13 of the molded body comprises the housings of the pistons 15 and 16 for actuating the guide 30 which "supports the telescopic tubes 25, 26, 27, 28, the comb 29, the latch 31, the latch springs 32a and 32b and the return screw 37.
The operation of the head described above is ensured by a hydraulic distributor forming part of the control members of the machine, of which the winding heads are one of the elements. It is he who ensures the triggering, the duration, the stopping and the succession of the different movements. Only the way in which these movements are effected with regard to the constitution and the operation of the winding head will therefore be described below.
Under the influence of the oil pressure on the piston 14 of the central shaft, the latter starts to move longitudinally, bringing with it the camshaft 23 and the toothed sector 17 sliding in the rack 38 while remaining engaged with it. When this movement is completed, the central shaft is in contact with the bearing face of the corresponding spindle of the false rotor, and consequently in the correct position for the action of the tubes and the triggering of the lock, the positions of the camshaft, the rack 38 and the control piston 39 thereof having been previously adjusted.
The action of the oil on the pistons 15 and 16 causes the longitudinal movement of the guide in the same direction as the preceding movement of the central shaft. The guide driving the lock 31 which secures the tubes 25, 26, 27, 28, the latter move forward as long as they are in engagement with it. When the latch approaches the first stage 33 of the camshaft due to the action exerted on it by the springs 32a and 32b, it releases the tube 28, the movement of which is terminated. The guide continuing its forward movement, the action of the lock is repeated on each of the following stages 34, 35, 36, thus freeing the tubes 27, 26, 25. When the last tube is released, the movement of the guide has no influence. plus the tubes that remain in place.
As the movement of the guide continues, the pei gne 29, which has already started its action at an intermediate point determined by prior adjustment, completes it by traversing the necessary stroke determined for the stator to be wound. When all the winding work is done, the guide stops. The action of the oil is then exerted on the pis ton 39, which actuates the rack 38, and the latter, being in engagement with the toothed sector 17 of the camshaft, causes the latter to make the rotation required. The conditions are met for the whole assembly to be turned back, the rusty worm rubbing on the smooth face 40 of the camshaft.
The reverse movements then take place in the same way by the action of the oil on the faces opposite to the previous ones of the pistons 15 and 16, then 14 and finally 39, under the conditions determined by the hydraulic control. The tubes being, in this return movement, brought back to their initial position by the return screw 37.
Carrying out the movements described above shows that it is possible to adjust each movement independently of the others and thus to ensure any sequence for these movements by means of an external control member. Likewise, the amplitude, speed and synchronization of the movements of the same head or of two heads used jointly can be ensured by external organs. A great flexibility of adaptation is thus available for the use of these heads in the constitution of winding machines making it possible to achieve the most suitable conditions for the nature and rate of production envisaged.
In which. concerns the possibility of winding stators with different bore diameters, this results only from the total thickness at the end of the stroke of the various tubes sliding on each other, the internal diameter of the notches of the dummy rotor remaining in all the cases much the same. This total thickness can be modified by changing either the number of tubes, or the thickness of these tubes, or both simultaneously.
As the number of stages of the camshaft corresponds to the number of tubes, it is possible to use all or only a fraction of the number of stages depending on the diameter of the bore of the stator to be wound, which can be achieved by a judicious choice of the length of the rockets of the corresponding false-rotors.
