Pole wheel for magneto-electric ignition devices. The invention relates to the magnet wheel belonging to a magiietelektrisehen ignition apparatus with an attached centrifugal force regulator part as well as with a bearing shaft and a multi-pole permanent magnet, which is made of high-coercivity Magnetstalil with a coercive force of at least 490 Oersteds. Sole magnetic steels are, for example, those known under the trade names ALNI and ALNICO.
The use of these high coercive steels has made it possible to manufacture permanent magnets for a specific coercive force with far less material expenditure than before. The use of among the. Trade marks ALNI and ALNICO available steel in the production of permanent magnets in an sieli nieht new.
The only new thing is the formation of finished pole wheels, such as those used in magnet-electric ignition devices, in such a way that savings in expensive material are made. and workload can be achieved, which to a large extent outweigh the significantly higher price of the best magnetic steel suitable for the purpose mentioned. Such wheels, for example made of cobalt steel, have hitherto been designed with pronounced o e, and a filling compound made of synthetic resin or plastic material was attached between the individual poles to fasten the soft iron lamellae attached to each pole end for damping.
This filling compound served at the same time to hold the axes of rotation in place to accommodate the floating weights of an automatic ignition torque adjuster connected to the pole wheel. For this, however, the synthetic resin filling compound proved to be insufficiently resistant from a mechanical point of view, which is why the aforementioned spaces were subsequently filled with non-magnetizable metal.
This in turn had the disadvantage that it had a relatively strong dampening effect on the ignition power, since after a magnetic break the field of the ignition coil runs to a greater extent through the filling compound.
With the inventive pole wheel, the disadvantages mentioned can be avoided. This pole wheel is characterized in that the magnet forms a closed ring in which the poles lie in a Zvjinder surface and the ring opening is designed in such a way that the each between two poles lying inner opening part delimiting the surface runs so,
that the cross-section of the material penetrated by each individual force flow is at least approximately constant, and that the magnetic ring is gripped between two planes made of non-magnetizable material connected to the shaft and centered and held by stacks of iron lamellas firmly clamped between them on the periphery of the flange ,
between the inner ring surface and the bearing shaft seat in the pole wheel there is a free space surrounding the seat. An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing.
FIG. 1 shows an axial section along line I-1 in FIG. 2.
Fig. 2 is a view of the assembled pole wheel in plan.
Fig. 3 is a plan view of the magnetic ring and Fig. 4 is a section along the line II-II in Fig. 3
FIG. 5 shows one of the end flanges in plan, while FIG. 6 shows a section through the same along the line III-III in FIG. 5 represents. A magnetic ring 2 made of the known magnetic steel ALNI or ALNICO with a minimum coercive force of 490 Örsted is placed coaxially to the flanges between two paddles <B> 1 </B> made of non-magnetizable metal.
In the present example, the magnetic ring has eight poles 2 'on its periphery, corresponding to the use of the relevant] magneto on an explosion engine with eight cylinders. In the case of a six-cylinder or four-cylinder engine, the magnetic ring would accordingly have six or four poles.
The magnetic ring is completely closed, and the individual poles are separated from one another by slots 2 ″, so that the arrangement, in the case of the eight-pole wheel, is equivalent to the juxtaposition of eight small horseshoe magnets.
This is illustrated by the lines of force K drawn in FIG. 2, and in FIG. 3 the shape of the inner recess of the ring 2 which is adapted to the individual magnets can be seen.
The outer diameter of the magnetic ring is smaller than that of the two flanges, and the difference is used to gain space for the attachment of a stack of annular segment-shaped soft iron lamellas 3 opposite each pole so that the pole end lies tightly against the lamellae The position in which the lamellae are held in place by rivets 4, which are arranged in a ring on the edge of the flanges and which penetrate and clamp them together, as does the lamella stacks.
The arrangement of white iron lamellas on the pole ends of permanent magnets is a known measure for undamping the primary visual oscillation circle and does not need to be explained further here.
The center of each of the two flange bevels <B> 1 </B> is drawn inwards in such a way that the resulting hole edge forms a tubular hub <B> l '</B> (Fig. <B> 6). </ B> The two flanges are arranged in the pole wheel in such a way that their two nears are directed against each other and together form an almost cylindrical hole as a press fit,
into which the pole wheel shaft <B> 5 </B> is pressed firmly against a shoulder <B> 5 '</B> of the shaft. Outside the press fit, the pole wheel shaft is set down to a smaller diameter and forms a shoulder into which, for the purpose of security, an annular groove <B> 6 </B> concentric to the shaft axis is pressed, through which part of the shaft material is pressed outwards is lifted and overlaps the edge of the hole.
A centrifugal regulator built into the magneto, which serves to adjust the ignition point depending on the 1 -) frequency of the pole wheel and consequently rotates with the same, can be assembled with the pole wheel in such a way that the centrifugal regulator The associated housing part <B> 7 </B> for receiving the centrifugal bodies (not shown) is connected to the pole wheel by means of their rotating sleeves <B> 8 </B>.
For this purpose, the rotation axes 8, which are extended on one side, form fastening bolts 8 'which fit into holes within the magnet ring opening, e 01 Splashes are attached, for example by riveting their accordingly aL%. formed ends <B> 8 ", </B> so that the housing part. <B> 7 </B> and the end flange <B> 1 </B> are held tightly together.
