Method and arrangement for regulating direct current motors. In arrangements for regulating DC motors that are fed in the armature and field circuit via grid-controlled rectifiers from an alternating current network "the grid of the armature rectifier is usually controlled by an armature regulator and the grid of the field rectifier by a field regulator. The process is one of these ,
that the armature voltage is regulated by the armature regulator by modulating the armature rectifier to a higher or lower voltage, depending on whether the setpoint value rises or falls.
In a similar way, he also controls the excitation current of the field regulator by modulating the field. Such control arrangements, in which the control value acts separately on the armature and field regulation, have the disadvantage that with a sufficiently large load the armature current exceeds the maximum permissible current grows out and. therefore exceeding this maximum current can lead to damage to the DC motor.
If an overcurrent switch is used in the control system, the motor comes to a standstill when it triggers, which is also perceived as annoying and in many cases even unacceptable.
Attempts have probably been made to eliminate this problematic situation in control arrangements of direct current motors fed by rectifiers by limiting the armature current to a certain value by means of a limiting device. But this also does not achieve the intended purpose.
When operating in the field weakening range, as the field weakening of the motor continues, a state occurs where the torque formed from the product of armature current and field strength decreases again and becomes smaller than the load torque.
If, even through the use of an armature current limiting device, an improvement in the mode of operation of the control arrangement was achieved,
it basically has the same disadvantage as a control arrangement without current limitation. The direct current motor therefore comes to a standstill with a certain reduction in the excitation field and a correspondingly high load.
The invention relates to a process for controlling DC motors that are fed in the armature and field circuit via grid-controlled rectifiers from an alternating current network and controlled by an armature or field regulator and limiting devices via their grid.
According to the invention, the limiting devices control the grids of the two rectifiers in such a way that the armature circuit current is limited to an adjustable maximum value and to a minimum value that varies depending on the load.
The grid of the armature rectifier can be influenced as a function of an armature current and armature voltage limit value and the grid of the field rectifier as a function of the armature voltage and an exciter current limit value.
The grid of the field rectifier is controlled in such a way that the field weakening and thus the increase in speed is limited to a value that prevents the field weakening during operation in the field weakening range from advancing so far that the field weakening also increases with increasing field weakening Speed and load would lead to a working range in which the motor is overloaded in terms of armature current and is no longer able to do so because of the armature current limitation
to deliver the required torque and would come to a standstill as a result.
In a control arrangement for executing the method, the armature regulator is connected to a setpoint and actual value transmitter, an armature current and armature voltage limiting device, and the field regulator is connected to an excitation current and armature voltage limiting device. The armature current and excitation current limiting device can each be connected to a current transformer of the associated circuit.
The various regulating devices are arranged in such a way that the controlled variable acting on the grid of the armature rectifier is one of the setpoint or actual value, the armature current limit and the armature voltage limit and the controlled variable acting on the grid of the field rectifier is one The excitation current and the armature voltage limit are influenced. Here, the controlled variable of the armature current limiter acts on the armature regulator as soon as the armature current has reached the set maximum value, which is usually three times the nominal value.
The armature voltage limiter supplies a controlled variable as soon as the armature voltage has exceeded its limit value, namely the armature nominal voltage. The controlled variables that then arise are proportional to the excess. The excitation current r 'limits the excitation current at the set limit value.
The main advantage of the control arrangement according to the invention lies in the fact that, firstly, due to the armature current and armature voltage limitation, the DC motor can only be loaded up to a certain maximum load, and secondly, through the interlinking of the controlled variable of the field controller Acting armature voltage limitation and excitation current limitation the field weakening can only reach one value,
in: where the motor can no longer accelerate, while in the known control arrangements the control of the armature and field circuit is separate from the controllers, i.e. independently of each other, which leads to damage to the motor or to a standstill in the arrangement according to the invention he made a kind of chained control between armature and field circle, which prevents the motor from stalling at maximum load.
With reference to the drawing, in the schematic table, an embodiment of the arrangement for Aasführung the process erfindiungsgemässen Ver is shown, the char tical features of the invention will be explained in more detail.
The armature circuit 1 of the motor 2, which is fed via a rectifier transformer 4 from an alternating current network 5, ent holds an armature track 6 with an S 2 control grid 7 and the armature B. The exciter circuit 9, which also is fed via a rectifier transformer 11 from the alternating current network 5,
has a field rectifier 12 with a control grid 13 and the field winding 14. The engine 2 is with. a speedometer dynamo 22 is coupled, which serves as an actual value transmitter. The adjustable resistor 23 represents the setpoint generator.
The armature regulator 15, which is under the influence of the setpoint and actual value, is on the one hand with an armature current limiting device 16 connected to the current transformer 3 and on the other hand with an armature voltage limiting device 17 connected to the motor armature 8 on the output side via a grid control unit 18 connected to your control grid 7 of the anchor sliding table 6.
The field regulator 19 is connected on the input side to an excitation current limiting device 20 connected to the current transformer 10 and to the armature voltage limiting device 17 and on the output side via a grid control device 21 to the control grid 13 of the field equatorial rectifier 12.
If the operating parameters of the direct current motor 2 match the setpoint value, the direct current motor 2 runs at a speed assigned to it. However, as soon as a setpoint is set that requires an increase in the speed, then it initially follows an increase in the armature voltage up to the limit value and then this limit value is exceeded. The armature regulator 15 is thereupon influenced by the armature voltage limiting device 17 in such a way that its controlled variable counteracts an increase in the armature voltage.
In this case, however, the influence is such that the increase in the armature voltage is only weakened. The remaining remaining, only very small increase controls the excitation current limiting device 20 via the armature voltage limiting device 17 in such a way that it begins to work at a lower exciting current than before.
The resulting Regel.- @, size of the excitation current limiter 20 causes the grid control device 21 and the control grid 13 to analogously reduce the modulation of the field rectifier 12. In your exciter circuit 9 is then a current flow which is proportional to the reduced modulation of the field rectifier 12. The resulting field weakening causes a corresponding speed: 1; increase.
If the armature regulator 15 is influenced by the encoder in the sense of a further increase in the speed, then the same process takes place as described above. The armature current therefore increases even further and finally reaches its limit value at which the armature current limitation begins. The joint action of the controlled variables of the armature current limiter 16 and the armature voltage limiter 17 on:
the armature regulator 15 can no longer increase the armature voltage. As a result, no further impulse can act on the excitation current limiter 20 and its threshold value cannot drop any further. Accordingly, the field regulator 19 does not prevent the field rectifier from being further prevented. It then has a stable state. adjusted.
The control process is thus played out in such a way that the automatic field weakening is ended directly by the armature current limiter 16. As a result, the field weakening only progresses until the armature 8 of the motor 2 can no longer accelerate further due to the armature current limitation. In this state the torque has become equal to the maximum permissible load torque.
The speed reached is now inevitably lower than the maximum speed, even if the setpoint generator requests the maximum speed. In this way, the DC motor cannot be loaded in an unacceptable manner. This load limit therefore only allows the motor to run up to full load, with the DC motor continuing to run at this load value. This prevents the motor from coming to a standstill or even damaging it.
The device described is only one example: an embodiment of the inventive concept He. The Schalturig of the regulating and control devices with each other can also be made in a different way. It is only essential here that the limiting devices work with one another in the manner characterized by the invention, that is to say that the armature circuit current is limited to an adjustable maximum value and the field value is limited to a minimum value that varies depending on the load.
