Hochstrom-Transformator.
Die Anwendung zylinderförmiger Bau elemente für die Hochstromwickhuig von Transformatoren hat zur Folge, dass das Kernfenster kleiner gehalten werden kann als bei dem bisher üblichen Wicklungsaiübau;
Fig. 7).
High current transformer. The following difficulties arise in the construction of high-current transformers, especially for supplying contact transformers. The high currents require a very large conductor cross-section.
In the coil windings made of wire, conventional in transformer construction, many coils with small wire diameters have to be connected in parallel, because excessively large cross sections of wire can no longer be bent due to their rigidity in order to wind coils from them. The parallel connection of individual coils is difficult and time-consuming.
If sheet metal windings are used, the usual design of core transformers and cylindrical windings results in increased losses at the edges due to the bulging stray field penetrating the sheet metal. The current leads to be connected to the sheet metal winding also give rise to difficulties and additional losses.
The connections of the transformers and the connections from coil groups to the coil are not only technologically difficult to manufacture, they are. also the seat of additional losses.
These losses are by no means limited to the connections themselves; rather, their strong fields generate losses in neighboring metallic construction parts. The strong stray fields from the high-current winding and the leads also cause undesirable inductive voltage drops, which are all the more serious because the usual voltages are small at high currents. As a consequence,
that the transformers with high performance can no longer be built with good efficiency for the very small voltages of a few volts, as they are often desired, because the voltage induced in the transformer up to the connection terminals is essentially due to the total voltage drops would be consumed.
The invention relates to a high-current transformer with a ring-shaped iron core with a high-current winding formed from pipelines, in which the difficulties mentioned are eliminated in that, according to the invention, the high-current winding forms a shell for the transformer core including the primary winding and is made up of stationary,
there are cylindrical conductors arranged concentrically to one another and coaxially with the core axis and the annular spaces between these over bridging conductor parts at the ends of the pipe conductors,
wherein the connections of the Hüchstromwieklung are led away as tubes concentric to one another in the direction of the core axis at at least one end.
The use of cylindrical construction elements for the Hochstromwickhuig of transformers has the consequence that the core window can be kept smaller than in the usual Wicklungsaiübau;
the losses decrease. The magnetic lines of force that the high-current vibration generates only hit the narrow front edges of the pipe conductors, as these are circular.
The concentric covering of the primary winding and the iron core of the transformer reduces the spread between the two and the space outside the secondary winding remains completely field-free. The leakage inductance of the entire arrangement therefore has a minimum and losses in surrounding components due to the effect of leakage fields are completely avoided.
The corrugated ring shape for the transformer and the high-current winding results in a completely axially symmetrical structure and the ampere windings up to the transformer terminals are directly compensated at every point.
In: the drawing, FIGS. 1 to 7 show schematically in section examples for the construction and the possibility of using the transformer according to the invention,
omitting de "z for glass understanding of the invention dispensable specifically mechanical structure and the circuit details.
In. In all figures the iron core of the transformer is marked with, a, it carries the primary winding b.
The transformer is a toroidal core that is made up of either a stack of iron spell. wound core parts, or can be wound from a tape, the width of which corresponds to the core height. The core can, however, also be constructed by layering parts stamped from sheet metal.
The secondary or high-current winding for feeding a power consumer, not shown, wraps around the transformer core as a sheath, including the primary winding. This shell is made up of stationary pipes arranged concentrically to one another and to the core axis,
as well as from the annular spaces between these bridging conductors on the front ends of the pipe conductors.
In the transformer according to Fig. 1 and la, the shell is designed with a double jacket, it consists of two concentric pipe conductors e1 es, which are inside the toroidal core, a, the:
two concentric pipe conductors e2 c4, which run outside of the toroidal core in the same way as it, and from which these pipe conductors share at their front ends bridging conductors d1 to d4. The pipe conductors cl to c4 are connected in series.
The winding connections are concentric pipe conductors ei e2 which lead away in the direction of the core axis and are arranged on the one hand on the outermost pipe conductor c4 and on the other hand on the inner pipe conductor cl adjacent to the transformer core. The pipe conductors can be bent from sheet metal or wound in several layers.
In order to enable the Wieklunngsanschh -sses to be led out of the sheath from the pipe conductor cl. Lying inside the iron core, the disc-shaped bridging conductor d2 at the upper end of the pipe conductor c2 must have penetration openings g be provided.
The same purpose can be achieved if the annular space between the pipe conductors is bridged at this point by ladder parts arranged like a spei.
For liquid-insulated transformers there is the possibility. To use the Hochstromwiek development or parts of it as a container for the oil. The innermost tube c3 in the core window can be pulled towards the wall as a container, or the outermost tube c4 surrounding the core can be provided with a base plate and serve as a container.
Instead of connecting two concentric pipe conductors inside and outside the core of the transformer according to FIG. 1 in series, there is also the possibility of connecting the pipe conductors in parallel, as shown in FIGS. 2, 2a and 3, whereby the inner and outer pipe conductors cross can be done easily.
Transformers according to the invention are particularly valuable in systems for generating high-amperage direct current with the aid of a contact converter that has a switching reactor with a toroidal core. to generate low-current pauses in the contact duration is combined:
Examples of this type are shown in FIGS. 4 to 7, where the annular core of the switching inductor f is provided coaxially with the transformer core a. The throttle core is at least partially penetrated by the current from the Hochztromwick development.
The secondary winding surrounding the transformer core including the primary winding as a sheath can again consist of only one pipe conductor C1 C4 inside and outside the transformer core with concentric connections ei e2 leading away in the core axis (cf. .
4 to 6), or else be designed with a double jacket (cf. FIG. 7). The shell of the transformer is designed in such a way that it encloses the core of the switching reactor, it then consists of the concentric, tubular conductors ei c4,, the bridging conductor parts d,
d4 and the concentric connections ei e2 together. This sheath can be designed in such a way that it encloses at least the switching inductor as a double jacket, as can be seen from FIG. 5. The shell of the throttle then consists of two concentric pipelines ei ei,
outside the throttle core and two concentric pipelines e2 e22 within the core window of the switching throttle, as well as from the frontal bridging lines.
6 shows a further example of the use of a transformer constructed in accordance with the invention with a switching reactor for contact converters with a resolved Graetz circuit. The pipe conductor cl e2 of the shell formed from the high-current winding, which lies within the core of the transformer and switching reactor, leads in this case to the one
Current system of one phase, while a connection e20 branched off from this pipe conductor leads to the other current system of the resolved Graetz circuit, and the pipe conductor lying outside the core lies on the shell at the transformer neutral point.
Finally, FIG. 7 shows a transformer combined with switching chokes according to the invention for operating a contact converter in FIG.
Within the envelope formed by the high-current winding, the switching reactors, fi f2 , are attached to both ends of the transformer core, coaxially with the transformer toroidal core a. The current conductors of the high-current winding ei e2 resp.
C e4 are connected in parallel, the current conductor e20 leads from their center tap to the transformer star point. The transformer according to FIG. 7 otherwise has the same components as in FIG. 1 with regard to the shell, and similar parts have the same reference symbols.
The choke coils f i f 2 can, if necessary, also be enclosed on all sides in the manner shown in FIG. 5 by the high current wave. The arrangement of FIG. 7 can also be used without a throttle.
In all; Exemplary embodiments, the cores of the switching reactor coils are wound from sheet metal strip. The toroidal cores can be made from sheet metal with a width equal to the core height,
or be composed of several axially strung together sub-cores of small height. The magnetic characteristics of the core material for the transformer and switching reactor must be adapted to the requirements for them. The transformer cores can be made of silicon iron,
the throttle cores are made of nickel iron.
Transformers according to the invention can be used both in series and in parallel. It is easily possible to use single-phase combinations of transformers and switching chokes for three- or multi-phase contact converters. The individual transformers can be placed next to or on top of each other.
The cores can also be made from punched discs or otherwise, e.g. B. powder cores be made.
In a departure from the arrangement according to FIG. 1, the winding connections can also be arranged on the outer pipe conductors with respect to the transformer core and an inner pipe conductor adjacent to the transformer core can be arranged with one of the outer conductors. Pipeline can be connected by crossing the bridging ladder at one end.
