Liquid distribution cabinet. The present invention relates to a cabinet for dispensing liquid from a relatively container. tall.
It has been found that it is very convenient and economical to dispense a liquid, such as milk, contained in a can of large sizes, avoiding packaging or bottling the milk and then opening. the said carton or bottle.
There are already cabinets comprising a pinch closing valve and containing, for example, a milk container provided with a flexible tiibc fixed on its bottom in order to allow the milk to be evacuated from said container through said tube when the tap is open. 1, the health services of various countries have given their approval to. this type of distributor, since the flexible tube is. designed (the way to. have to be replaced without being able to be reused.
However, it is difficult to make a cabinet for these milk cans (the large dimensions, while allowing the quick and easy insertion of the flexible tube through the valve mechanism and ensuring an effective tight seal around the edge (the hinged closing door on hinges (the] cabinet.
The present invention relates to a cabinet comprising the valve mounting member. (facilitates the insertion of the tube, replacement valve through the valve mechanism, while ensuring a very effective seal. with the flexible sealing gasket with which the cabinet door is fitted. This assembly member tap. is.
placed in a recess in the front edge of the bottom of the cabinet in order to allow to fix a valve allowing the closing of a flexible tube by clamping on this bottom, said. member which can, for example, be provided with a removable closing plate intended to allow easy access to the valve chamber after having removed said plate. but which ensures the closure of the front and top portions of said mounting member, so as to form a tight seal along the front edge of the bottom of the cabinet when the door is applied thereto having seen the cabinet closed.
The cabinet may, for example, comprise side walls, a heat-insulated cover and bottom, as well as a front porto with heat-insulated closure and provided with a flexible sealing gasket mounted around its periphery.
The anterior marginal part of the bottom has a recessed part. over an appreciable distance below the remaining main part of said base and which is provided with a cavity in which the valve mounting member is fixed., said member having an anterior access opening which is normally closed by a removable closure plate, which also extends over a portion of the top of the mounting member, so as to closely surround the tube which runs downward from the bottom of the container, through the mechanism tap.
The valve assembly component. can. have two upper sloping edges. towards the bottom and towards the rear of said or pane and intended to come into contact with the upper surface inclined towards the rear of the unhooked portion formed in the front edge of the bottom of the cabinet, so as to prevent said member to move forward when said flanges firmly down against said recessed portion.
The appended drawings show, by way of example, an embodiment of a distribution cabinet according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the cabinet and of the valve assembly member, the door being shown in the open position.
Fig. 2 is a plan view of the assembly member.
Fig. 3 is a partial vertical section of the valve mounting member in place in the cabinet.
The fi-. .l is a front elevation of the mounting device, and ¯ fig. to is a perspective view of said member, the front and upper covers of which have been shown separated.
As best seen in fig. 1, the cabinet comprises heat-insulated side walls 7 and 8, a heat-insulated rear panel 9 and an upper panel 10. A heat-insulated lower bottom 11 connects intermediate portions of the side walls and of the rear panel, so as to delimit The heat-insulated compartment spaced above the lower ends of said walls and of the panel.
The front edge of the bottom 11 has a recess 11 ', the upper surface of which tilts downwards in the direction of the rear panel and of which. the underside also tilts. in the same direction, being. substantially parallel to the upper surface (fig. 3).
The front edge of the side walls 7 and 8 and of the upper panel 10, as well as the anterior edge of the recess of the bottom 11, are, phis thick so as to allow a front doorel2, mounted on hinges along the edge of the wall 8, to come to rest in sealed contact against said edges, with the interposition of compressible sealing elements 13 fixed around the. periphery of the interior surface of door 12.
A vertical gasket element 13?, Fixed along the hinged articulated edge, constitutes the seal along the front edge of the wall 8. A latch 1-l, articulated on the wall 7, cooperates with an element 1: 5 protruding, fixed on the free edge of the door 1.2, to keep the latter in its closed position.
The compartment. can be refrigerated by any refrigeration device (not shown) intended to be placed under the bottom 11 and to. be enclosed in the space delimited by the bottom of the side walls and the rear panel. 1'n front panel 12a cac'Ie the cooling device and. extends between the bottom of the side walls.
The front edge of the step 11-; has a cavity in which the valve assembly member 1.6 is placed. This organ has a curved posterior wall which is inclined forward. and down, and. the posterior part of the cavity has a corresponding curved elm.
A retaining and support rim 17. is mounted around the upper portion of said member and slopes downwardly and rearwardly thereof, so that the two front edges of said flange are substantially adjacent to the horizontal upper edge 16a of the member. mounting, while the curved rear portion of the rim is located at a certain distance below said upper edge.
The inclination of this peripheral rim is calculated so as to correspond to that of the step 11a and so that said rim comes to rest against the upper face of the step, which surrounds the cavity. Two vertical front flanges 1.8 di er down from the front upper edge of flange 17 and. delimit an access opening between them. -A flange 19 connects the lower ends of the flanges 18. The lower part of the mounting member 16 has the shape of a tubular tail 20, integral with the body of said member.
This downwardly directed shank has a thread 21 at its upper part and it also has, at a short distance from its lower end, a circular groove 22 intended to receive a fixing screw.
The valve member is initially inserted into the cavity formed in the recess 11a (fig. 3), so that the access opening ends down above the lower end. from the anterior edge of the bottom of the casing, then a nut 23 is screwed onto the threaded portion 21 of the tail 20, which is tightened fully against the inclined lower face of the recess. 1i11 (fig. <B> 3)
. </B> A tap. with clamp closure ment, generally designated 24, is mounted in the lower portion of the tubular shank 20, to which it is fixed by a fixing screw 25 (Fig. 1). A pinch lever 26, of the tap, is hinged on the axis 27. A weight 28 holds the clamping end of the lever 26 firmly. applied in pinch position.
U: n container of relatively large dimensions, such as a milk container 29, mounted inside the refrigerated compartment, the bottom of which is. formed to support the container in an elevated position above the top of the valve mounting member, is provided with a discharge sleeve 29'1 proud. 3) formed in its bottom.
A flexible tube 30 is connected to this sleeve and closed by a stopper at its free end in order to retain the liquid. inside the container before fitting the tube into the pinch valve mechanism. The tube is easily inserted into the valve assembly member through the opening between the front flanges <B> 1, q, </B> then, by lifting lever 26, the tube is pulled out. down along the. tubular tail 20 (fiz. 3). The lever 26 is then released and the end portion of the tube 30 closed by the stopper is c @ oiipe.
The rear part of the key open top The mounting member 16 is closed by a cover 31 having a peripheral rim 31a over the entire extent of its rear portion; two retaining hooks <B> 311 </B> are formed in the front part of this rim. A recess. semicircular 31, intended to give passage to the tube 30, is formed in said cover (Fig. 3).
Two retaining fingers 32, formed on intermediate portions of the upper edge 16a, are intended to penetrate into the hooks 31b in order to keep the cover 31 in place.
A front removable section of the cover 33 is designed to be applied against the flanges 18 and 19 and its rear edge has a semicircular recess 33a intended to cooperate with the semicircular recess 31 in order to closely turn all of it. the periphery of the tube 30 a short distance below the bottom of the canister 29 in order to keep the latter in a clean condition.
The upper front edge of the mounting member 16 has two upwardly directed projections 34 (Figs. 3 and 5) and intended to be received in a <B> 33 "</B> recess of the cover section 33. ; the lower edge 33 of this section is rolled so as to receive the lower edge of the flange 19; the combination of these two hooking means makes it possible to keep the cover section 33 in the closed position against the front face of the assembly component 16.
The cover section 33 can of course be easily removed when it is desired to place a new canister 29 in the chamber of the cabinet, and the cover is made of a material such as spring steel so as to allow it to be maneuvered. repeatedly.
It can be seen that the cupboard and mounting device described greatly simplify and facilitate the replacement of receptacles inside the managed refrigerated compartment of the cupboard, while ensuring a tight seal around the edge of the door 12 The opening provided on removal of the front cover portion 33 facilitates insertion of the flexible tube 30 into the tail 20 through the valve mechanism 24, providing easy access to the latter.
When the cover section 33 is replaced against the front face of the mounting member 16, a flat surface is formed all the way along the front edge of the recess 11a, so that a tight seal can be produced all around. the outskirts of the. gate 1 ?. The width of the cover section 33 is the same as the distance between the end edges of the flanges 18, so that it completely covers the front faces of these flanges (fig. D).
It should be noted that the two cover sections 31 and 33 closely surround a middle portion of the tube 30 and delimit an air space which surrounds said tube and which has the purpose of thermally insulating the latter.
It is. Obviously, one could make various modifications to the armotre described and shown, while remaining within the key scope of the invention.
