Kolbenpumpe.
Piston pump. The invention relates to a piston pump in which the delivery stroke is acted upon by a spring and which is used in particular to deliver fuel to an internal combustion engine or lubricating oil to a machine. can be.
The piston pump according to the invention is characterized by the combination of a spring-loaded piston with a plunger that brings about the piston suction stroke and the. forms part of an automatic valve which controls the connection between the pump work area and a pressure channel in the plunger.
Two exemplary embodiments are shown in section in the drawing.
In the first example according to FIG. 1, a housing a has a zv lilidrische Bohrurig b for receiving a piston c loaded by a spring d through a plate c. The spring plate c is. arranged in a chamber of the housing a. An inlet f provided in the housing a for the fluid to be conveyed opens into the left part of the bore b.
A reciprocating plunger g of smaller diameter than the piston c protrudes into this part of the bore. loaded by a spring according to and is actuated by a rotary cam i acting via a tappet j to move the piston c in the direction of the suction stroke by means of the plunger.
In the plunger g is. an axial channel k leading from its inner end to a transverse passage 7m is provided. The passage in opens into a circumferential groove n in the plunger g, which is always connected to the outlet o in the housing a.
During the suction stroke of the piston c, the inner end of the plunger g rests against the piston, whereby the entrance to the axial channel k of the plunger is closed. After the piston c has been moved far enough to open the inlet f, the liquid flows into the bore b during the continued movement of the plunger g and piston c. During the return of the plunger g under the action of the spring h, the piston c follows it until the inlet f is closed again.
Then the plunger lifts off the piston, whereby the inner end of the axial channel k is opened. The piston c can now, under the action of its spring d, press fluid out of the bore b through the axial channel k to the outlet o, in a variable flow rate over time, which depends on the force of the spring l and the variable resistance in the delivery channel. This resistance can e.g.
B. depend on the degree of opening of a control valve arranged between the pump and the machine or a metering device.
The end of the plunger g facing the piston c can, as shown, be provided with a beveled edge, in which case the fluid pressure in the bore b during the piston delivery stroke supports the spring jz when the plunger g is pushed. Suitable shaping of the plunging end mentioned can achieve. that the liquid, - sigkeitsdiack is sufficient to send the plunger after the cam i, that is, the spring 1i can be omitted.
In the example according to FIG. 2, the inflow of liquid into the bore b is controlled by an inlet valve built into the piston c. The piston c is hollow here, and is inside it. a pin q z. B. fastened by means of a snap ring p. A freely movable closure member r is inserted between the adjacent front ends of the pin q and the piston c, which can close holes s in the piston end.
Through the inlet, fine-flowing liquid can flow through the holes s and the annular space into the bore b during the suction stroke. During the delivery stroke, the member r closes the holes s and the liquid is delivered into the outlet o in the manner described above.
Each of the two examples can form a complete pump or a single pump of a pump with several single pumps.
By means of the invention, a pump for delivering a variable delivery rate can be created in a very simple manner.
Although the pumps explained are primarily intended for conveying fuel, they can also be used for conveying lubricating oil or for any other analogous purpose where the conveyance automatically changes according to the need for liquid supplied by the pump should be.
