An der Arbeitsstelle trifft das Band 1 den Metall streifen 8, der zu der Arbeitsstelle in einer zu der Antriebswelle 10 parallelen Richtung ge führt wird. An der Arbeitsstelle befindet sich: ein Stanzwerkzeug 32, um nacheinander die Glie der 3 von dem Metallstreifen 8 abzutrennen und gleichzeitig die innern Umrisse des Rau mes zwischen den gespreizten Beinen des nächstfolgenden Gliedes zu bilden; die äussern Umrisse der Gliederbeine werden von demsel ben Stanzwerkzeug dadurch geformt, dass ein geringer Abfall von den Rändern des Strei fens 8 weggestanzt wird; eine mit dem Stanz- werkzeug 32 zusammenarbeitende Matrize 33;
Der Kopf 47 des Stanz- v#erkzeuges 32 hat die zum Stanzen erforder liche Form. Das Stanzwerkzeug 32 gleitet in einer Führung, die aus einem Träger 44 be steht, auf den zwei Halter 45 aufgeschraubt sind, und zwar einer auf jeder Seite des Stanzwerkzeuges 32;
Machine for the production of zippers. The present invention relates to a machine for the production of zippers.
It is known to give zipper members such a shape that the outlines of the head part of a limb correspond to the outlines of the space between the splayed limbs. This makes it possible to shape the head part of a link from the material lying between the spread legs of the next following link and to keep it small due to the waste in the manufacture of the links.
In a known method for producing such links and applying them to a fastener tape, a flat strip of material that has pre-formed projections and depressions that correspond to the coupling projections and depressions of the zipper links to be produced is gradually fed to a work station at which the links be severed successively by means of a punching tool from the front end of the material strip at the point in time during which the strip is at rest.
Naelidem one link has been separated from the strip, the front end of the remaining strip has a recess which corresponds to the space between the legs of the next following link. A support band provided with a thickened edge is gradually the same work site in a direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the material strip so that the thickened tape edge passes through the recess at the front end of the material strip Ma.
Before, after or simultaneously with. the separation of a zipper link from the strip - earth the limbs clamped onto the thickened tape edge, so that the clamped member is carried along by the carrying tape during its next movement and removed from the work site.
The machine according to the invention for the production of zippers also has a punching tool for separating zipper links from a strip of material and means for clamping the zipper links onto a carrier tape and is characterized in that a drive element is provided which is separated from the punching tool that acts on the rear end of the punching tool in order to advance it in a predetermined direction, and that a spring-loaded return element is provided,
which preferably acts on the head of the punching tool in order to move it back into the starting position. The drive member acting on the tere end of the punching tool is preferably designed as an eccentrically mounted ball bearing. The punching tool expediently has one or more lateral guide shoulders which engage in corresponding guide channels of a guide member.
The machine can have a tape drum in order to gradually lead the carrier tape onto which the zipper links are to be placed through the machine.
The machine preferably has a switch for starting and stopping the machine and a device for feeding the carrier tape through a guide channel which is formed by two relatively movable members that are pressed against each other by a spring to operate one of the to keep both links in constant contact with one side of the band and the other link in constant contact with the other side of the band and thereby monitor the thickness of the band,
A connecting element is expediently provided between one of the links and the switch of the machine in order to shut down the machine if the strip thickness monitored by the two links lies outside the specified tolerance limits.
For an exemplary explanation of the invention, reference is now made to the accompanying drawings.

Fig. 13 shows (the punching tool seen in perspective from below; Figs. 14 and 15 are intended to illustrate the operation of the punching tool and the means for attaching the closure members to (the support structure; Fig. 16 is partly a view of the belt drum, partly an horizontal section through the belt drum:
Fig.1.7 is a section along the line NVII-KVII of the Fit-. 16; FIG. 18 is similar to FIG. 16 and shows a variant of the belt drum, and FIG. 19 is a section along the line XIY-NIK in FIG.
The zipper shown in Fig. 1 has two fastener tapes 1, each with a thickened edge? are provided on which the zipper links 3 are applied.
As already mentioned, it is known to give the zipper links 3 (see Fig.?) Such a shape that the tear of the head part 4 of a closure link (i.e. that part which has a coupling projection on one side:
3 and on the other side one in Fig. not visible coupling, recess) corresponds to the shape of the recess 6 between the spread legs 7.
The head part 4 of a link 3 is therefore between the splayed limbs 7 of the closest link of the Ma terialstreifens 8, as can be seen from Fig.? recognizes. According to the known method for producing such links and applying them to a carrier tape 1, the material strip 8, which is generally made of metal, is initially included.
Projections 5 provided on one side and corresponding depressions on the other side, wherein the projections before 5 and depressions, the coupling projections and coupling depressions form the links to be produced. The so pre-formed strip of material 8 is gradually fed to a work station, where the closure members 3 are separated one after the other from the front end of the strip 8 by means of a punching tool, while the strip is at rest.
After this. the foremost link 3 from the strip 8 abge separates. Has been., The end of the rest union strip has a recess that corresponds to the space between the legs 7 of the next following link. A carrier tape 1 provided with a thickened edge 2 is gradually fed to the same job, so that the thickened tape edge 2 strip 8 passes through the recess at the front end of the material.
Before, after, or at the same time as the zipper link 3 is severed from the strip 8, its legs 7 are clamped onto the thickened tape edge 2 so that the linked member 3, after it has been severed from the strip 8, is removed from the support tape 1 is picked up and removed from the job the next time it moves.
The machine shown in Fig. 3 is used to carry out this method Lind be sits a drive shaft 10 which is driven by an electric motor 11.
The drive shaft 10 is actuated, all control discs required for the gradual feeding of the material strip 8 in the direction of arrow A from a supply reel 12 provided in a frame 13 through a tube 9 into the Aufbringeinriehtung 7.1 and for actuating a punching tool and a clamping vorrieht.ung are required.
The fastener tape 1, with the applied in the device 14 th. Versehlussgliedern is guided in the direction of arrow C over a roller 1.6 and then wound onto a roller 17 which can be rotated in the direction of arrow D in the frame 13 provided. The roller 17 is rotated by a motor 19 by means of a belt 18 which revolves in the direction of the arrow E. The carrier tape 1 is moved forward step by step by means of a tape drum 20, the tape drum 20 rotating step by step about an axis 59 parallel to the drive shaft 10; In the illustrated embodiment, the axis 59 and the drive shaft 10 are arranged vertically.
The waste arising during manufacture falls through a tube 22 (and a second similar tube not visible in FIG. 3) into a waste container 23. A vacuum pump 24, driven by the motor 11 and connected to the container 23 by a hose 25, is generated a vacuum in the container 23 and the tubes 22, whereby the waste is continuously sucked off and removed. Before the strip 1 enters the device 14, it slides through a guide channel 6 of a device 27 (see FIGS. 3 and 5) for checking the strip thickness. The guide channel 26 is formed on the one hand by a button 28 which is pressed lightly against the band by a spring 29 when the band slides through the guide channel 26.
The button 28 actuates an electrical switch 31 via a connecting member 30. In operation, the button 28 moves back and forth when the thickness of the tape increases or decreases ver. If the Diekenä.nderung the band exceeds a predetermined tolerance limit, the back and forth movement of the button 28 exceeds a predetermined value and causes the electrical switch 31 to interrupt the circuit to the electric motor 11, whereby the machine is stopped. After the band has left the guide channel 26 of the device 27, it slides through a further guide 38 (FIG. 11) to the work site, specifically in a direction at right angles to the drive shaft 10.
At the job, the band 1 meets the metal strip 8, which leads to the job in a parallel to the drive shaft 10 direction ge. At the work site is: a punching tool 32 to sequentially separate the members 3 from the metal strip 8 and at the same time to form the inner outlines of the space between the spread legs of the next member; the outer outlines of the limbs are formed by the same punching tool in that a small amount of waste is punched away from the edges of the strip 8; a die 33 cooperating with the punching tool 32;
an Anklemmvorriehtung which has two hammers 34 to press the on the strip 8 in each case before the first link 3 on the thickened edge 2 of the tape 1; an ejector 35 for removing the leading end of the strip of material from the severed member and from the die 33; a pressing member 36 in order to constantly press the punching tool 32 against an EYzenterscheibe moving the punching tool, and a finger 37 in order to feed the strip 8 gradually to the work site.
The punching tool 32, the shape of which can best be seen in FIGS. 11, 12 and 13, is designed in such a way that, in cooperation with the die 33, it separates the foremost zipper link 3 from the metal strip 8 with one blow and at the same time cuts off pieces 39 (see FIG. 15) removed from the edges of the metal strip 8, so that here the outer contours of the limbs 7 of the next closing link are formed; the waste pieces 39 are sucked off and fall through the tubes 22 into the waste container 23 (see FIG. 3).
The punching tool 32 consists of a short piece of hardened metal (see FIGS. 11 and 12) and has two lateral guide shoulders 43, one on each side, which extend in the longitudinal direction of the punching tool so that it has an approximately T - Has a shaped cross-section perpendicular to its longitudinal direction.
The head 47 of the punching tool 32 has the shape required for punching. The punch 32 slides in a guide which is made of a carrier 44 BE, onto which two holders 45 are screwed, one on each side of the punch 32;
Each age 4: 5 has a flange 46 which covers one of the two shoulders 43 of the punching tool 32, so that the punching tool is guided in its back and forth movement in the longitudinal direction by means of its shoulders 43 in guide channels, which formed between the carrier 44 and the said flanges 46 GE. are. (The die 33 is arranged above the head 47 of the punching tool 32.
Reciprocating drive members 41, 42 for the punch 32 are loosely arranged at its rear end 48 on. To actuate this drive member is a ring 40 (see in particular Figure 5) on a. Ball bearing is mounted, the axis 10a of which sits eccentrically on the drive shaft 10 and see rotates with this. The outer ring 40 matures on a spacer (drive member) 41 which acts on the end 48 of the punching tool 32 facing away from the head 47 via an insert (drive member;) 42 (see also FIG. 11).
The insert 42 can be exchanged for an insert of a slightly different thickness, in order to be able to compensate for slight changes in length of the punching tool 32 which can be caused over time by repeated sharpening of the punching tool.
The ele ments 333, 334, 335 shown in Fig.6 and 11 serve only as carriers and guides.
The pressing member 36 is pressed by a spring 49 (see FIG. 5) against the head 47 of the punching tool 32 \; namely, the spring 49 presses against a lever arm 51 which can be rotated uni the axis (see also FIG. 11), which in turn presses against the pressing member 36 so that the punching tool 32 is permanently positively connected. the eccentric ring 40 is connected.
One recognises. It is easy for the punching tool 32 to move back and forth from the eccentric ring 40 in a direction perpendicular to the drive shaft 7.0, that is to say horizontally. when the drive shaft 10 rotates.
Under the action of a second spring 50 (see FIGS. 5 and 11), the ejector 35 is constantly pressed towards the punching tool against the metal strip 8 by means of a second lever arm 52 which is held in between and can be rotated about the axis 54. An insert 55 lies between the lever arms 51, 52 and the pressing member 36 and the ejector 3.5. As can best be seen from Fig.ll, the free ends of the lever arms 51 and 52 are offset so that they overlap.
The ejector 35 lies above the press organ 36 (see also FIGS. 7 and 9).
The two hammers 34 are reciprocated in a direction perpendicular to the drive shaft 10, which is simultaneously perpendicular to the reciprocating movement of the punch 32, the ejector 35 and the pressor 36.
The hammers 31 who are driven by a second eccentric 56 (see FIGS. 4-, 5 and 7), which acts on supports 57 of two arms 58 (see also FIG. 6); each lever arm carries one of the nozzles 57; the rear lever arm 58 is rotatable on an axis 59 and the front lever arm 58 is rotatable on an axis 591; the two lever arms 58 overlap with their adjacent, remote ends.
A spring 60 is connected to the two lever arms 58 by means of connector 61 and strives to pull the overlapping ends together, whereby the connector 57 is connected to the eccentric disk 56 by force. .The other ends of the lever arms 58 are provided with linstellsehrauben 62 (see also Fig.l1), which press against the ends of the hammers 34, which will keep ge with the adjusting screws 62 by springs 63 in constant contact. The adjusting screws 62 ge enable the size of the moving stretcher of the hammers 34 to go back and forth.
By means of a third eccentric ring 64 (see FIG. 4 and 7), the finger 37 is moved back and forth in a direction parallel to the drive shaft 7.0, ie vertically.
The finger 37 slides in a guide and is pressed down by a spring 65. The lower end of this finger is frictionally connected via balls 66 to a drive member 67 which, under the action of an auxiliary spring 69, rests against the eccentric disk 64, the auxiliary spring 69 at 70 with the drive member 67 and at 71 with a fixed part of the machine is connected. From FIG. 7 it can easily be seen that when the eccentric disk 61 rotates, the drive member 67 moves horizontally back and forth and the finger 37 in turn moves vertically back and forth.
The upper end of the finger 37 engages in a slot 68 of the punching tool 32; sees the slot 68. can be seen in Figs. 13 and 15.
The belt drum 20 (see in particular Fig. 4, 7, 16 and 17) is used to carry out the support tape 1 step by step through the machine. It has an outer capsule 72 and an inner capsule 80. The outer capsule 72 has an upper part 79 with a central hole through which the stationary one does not. rotating shaft 59 passes through it. (As can be seen from FIG. 5 and has already been mentioned, the axis 59 of the belt drum also forms the axis of rotation for the rear lever arm 58, which actuates one of the two hammers 31.) This axis 59 is arranged parallel to the main drive shaft 10 .
A cover 77 is held on the axis 59 by means of a nut 73 and a spring 7.1 and presses with friction against a chuck 75 which is provided in a recess in the upper part 79 of the outer capsule 72, the frictional pressure being more or less strong kes tightening the nut 73 can be adjusted. The outer surface of the upper part 79 of the outer capsule. 72 downwardly extending wall is roughened at 76 to thereby increase the friction between the surface and the belt 1. The free end of the wall also has a channel 78 for receiving the zip fastener members attached to the tape.
The inner capsule 80 has essentially three parts, namely a bottom 81, an annular outer wall and a bearing lining 82, the outer wall and the bearing lining from the bottom 81 upwards he stretch. The arrangement is such that the bearing chuck 82 surrounds part of the axis 59, while the outer wall is arranged coaxially with and adjacent to the outer wall of the outer capsule 72. is.
The bottom 81 has a short, see downwardly extending to set 83, which together with the fixed axis 59 forms a recess for receiving a ball bearing 84, one of which is gerring with the axis 59 and the other bearing ring with. the bottom 81 of the inner capsule 80 is firmly connected so that the inner capsule 80 can be rotated on the axis 59.
From FIG. 17 it can be seen that the outer capsule 72, together with the inner capsule 80, forms a liquid-tight housing rotatable on the axis 59. On the outer surface of the bottom 81, an arm 84 is attached, which carries a roller 85, which tet with the eccentric disk 40 (see also Fig. 5) together. A spring 88 holds the roller 85 in engagement with the eccentric disk 40. When the eccentric disk 40 rotates during operation, the arm 84 moves back and forth and gives the inner capsule 80 a reciprocating rotary movement about the axis 59.
A ratchet wheel 86 is fastened to the base 81 of the inner capsule 80 by means of screws 87, so that the ratchet wheel 86 takes part in the reciprocating rotary movement of the inner capsule 80. Ball bearings 89 are fastened with their inner bearing rings to the bearing chuck 82 of the inner capsule, while the outer bearing rings of the ball bearings 89 are fixed relative to the upper part 79 and the wall 90 protruding therefrom, so that the outer capsule 72 is separated from the ball bearings 89 is carried and is rotatable about the axis 59. A pawl 91 is connected to your upper part 79 of the outer capsule 72 by means of screws 9 2.
It can be seen from FIG. 16 that when the inner capsule 80 and the ratchet wheel 86 turn back and forth in the direction of the double arrow Y, the outer capsule rotates step by step in the direction of the arrow 7 and that a return movement of the outer capsule 72 is prevented by the friction between the chuck 75 and the fixed cover 77.
Fig.18 and 1.9 show an embodiment variant of the belt drum, in which a ratchet 286 to deni. Upper part 279 of an outer capsule 272 is fastened by means of screws 287, the ratchet wheel 286 cooperating with a pawl 291 which is fastened to the inner capsule BE. A backward movement of the outer capsule is prevented by a retaining pawl 2911 which is attached to a stationary handle 293 which is firmly connected to the axis 59 by means of a washer and a nut 273. The outer capsule < B> 272 is rotatably fastened to ball bearings 289 which are carried by the holder 293.
In both embodiments, the housing between the bearing chuck and the outer wall of the inner capsule is filled with oil before the outer capsule is attached. Under normal working conditions, the outer capsule, after it has been fastened, prevents the oil from escaping and thus the band 1 from being soiled by oil.
It can be seen that each of the two belt drums requires little space, since, apart from the arm 84, all parts for actuating the drum are enclosed by the two capsules and thus do not require any additional space. Eirifaeli both drums can be taken apart by unscrewing the nut 73 or 273 and removing the outer capsule from the inner capsule, where the drive mechanism makes it accessible. Conversely, each belt drum can easily be put back together. be set. Since the drive unit is enclosed by the housing and is also in oil, is during de; Produces little noise during operation.
The ratchet wheel and the pawl or pawls could also be braided under in a special housing.
A resilient metal band 93 (see FIGS. 4, 10 and 16) is attached at one end to a carrier 94 and at its other end to an arm 95 (see FIG. 5) rotatable on the axis 591 and is supported by a spring 96 Tension held. The metal band 93 presses the band 1 against the roughened part 76 of the band drum 20 during operation.
From Fig.10 and 17 it can be seen that the outer capsule 72 of the belt drum 20 is provided with teeth 97 which drive an annular gear 98 which hangs from a support roller 99 which is mounted on an Ilebel 100 on it, which is supported by a spring 101 to the top. is pressed. The gear wheel 98 has an elevation 102 on the inside.
When the gear wheel 98 rotates and the elevation 102 moves through between the support roller 99 and a fixed bridge 1031, the support roller 99 is pressed down slightly and moves a second lever 103 pivotable about an axis 104 downwards against the pressure of a spring 105, so that an angle lever 106, which is rotatable about an axis 107, is actuated and pushes a rod 108 inward, where, through its free end, 109 comes to rest under the lower end of the finger 37. The movement of the rod 108 takes place. instead of when the finger 37 is raised. The rod 108 prevents the finger from moving downward while the elevation 102 moves over the support roller 99.
This temporarily prevents closure members 3 from being fed to tape 1, while tape 1 continues to move unhindered, so that the closure members are arranged in groups on the carrier tape.
As the gear 98 continues to rotate, its increment 102 comes into play together with a key 110 which actuates a counter to count the number of C troops of tear-off links placed on the tape. M'if a given number of such groups has been reached.,
In this way, the counter can shut down the electric motor 11 and thus the machine in a manner known per se, and can be audible or visible signs.
The machine described works like 1'o1,, t As already described above, the band drum 20 pulls a band 1 step by step through the device 14.
The fact that the band tronimel 20, the punching tool 32, the number 34 and the finger 37 for feeding the metal strip 8 are fully actuated by three eccentric discs, which are firmly attached to the same drive shaft, is achieved in a simple manner, that the machine carries out the individual operations at the correct relative time intervals.
At a certain point in time, the band 1 moves in the direction of the arrow B drawn in FIG. 8 and carries with it the uppermost Zipper member 3, which was previously clamped on the band 1 and separated from the material strip 8 so that the Strip 8 can now be moved upward in the direction of arrow A by finger 37.
The finger has 37. at its upper end there are recesses 111 (see also FIG. 10) which can grasp the projections 55 preformed on the strip 8 in order to move the strip upwards. In the position shown in FIG. 8, the ejector 35 presses the strip 8 against the finger 37, so that the recesses 111 grip the projections 5.
As soon as the topmost zipper element 3 applied to the band 1 has left the place it occupies in FIG. 8, the finger 37 is moved upwards by the third eccentric disk 64, as described above, so that the front The end of the strip 8 now takes up the space previously occupied by the uppermost zipper link 3 shown. As explained earlier, the finger 37 slides through a slot 68 in the punching tool 32 (see FIGS. 9 and 13).
At its front end, the pressing member 36 has a C-table 112 (see FIG. 1) which is constantly in contact with shoulders 113 (see FIGS. 11 and 13) of the punching tool 32, so that a non-positive connection between the pressing member 36, the punch 32, the insert 42 (see Fig. 5), your spacing piece 41 and the eccentric disk 40 is constantly maintained.
The head of the punching tool 32, which moves in the direction of the arrow K in FIG. 8, touches the strip 8 as soon as it has come to rest and, when the punching tool continues to move, presses it against the die 33 and away from the finger 37, so that its recesses 111 no longer encompass the projections 5 of the strip 8; this working position is shown in FIG. While the finger 37 is not touching the strip 8, it moves downwards as described earlier.
At the same time, the punch 32 moves further to the right in Fig. 9 and thereby separates a next link from the strip 8 with the die 33 and also cuts two pieces of waste material 39 (see Fig. 15) from the edges of the strip in order to form an indentation 114 (see FIG. 8) on each edge of the strip 8.
While the punching tool 32 moves towards the die 33, it moves the pressing member 36 in the same direction against the tension of the spring 50 (see Fig. 5), at the same time the strip 8 moves in its movement towards the die to the ejector 35 in the same Direction against the tension of spring 49.
The hammers 34 move towards the strip 8 from both sides, one in the direction of arrow H in Figure 8 and the other in the opposite direction. Shortly before or during or shortly after the punching tool 32 has severed or severed a link from the strip 8, the hammers 34 touch the splayed legs of the foremost closure member 3 riding on the thickened band edge 2 and press the legs 7 of this as they move further Link 3 around the thickened edge 2 of the band 1 (see also Fig. 14 and 15).
The punching tool 32 now moves further away from the die 33 under the influence of the pressing member 36 and depending on the rotation of the eccentric disk 40.During this movement of the punching tool 32 and before the beginning of the next step of the strip 1 in the direction of arrow B ( 8) the ejector 35 pushes the strip 8 away from the die 33 and the link 3 which has just been separated; the strip 8 again comes into contact with the finger 37, the hammers 34 move away from the strip 8, so that the movement of the band 1 with the link 3 that has just been clamped on can now take place.
During this movement, the various parts again assume the position shown in FIG. F, whereupon a new, identical operation begins.
The machine described has numerous advantages compared to known machines of a similar type. Since the punch 3'_ 'moves back and forth in a direction perpendicular to the drive shaft 10, the eccentric ring 40 mounted on the drive shaft 7.0 can act on the rear end of the Sta.n7werk- tool 32, even directly, instead, as shown in the drawing, in directly via the spacer 41 and the insert 42. This means that further drive elements are avoided.
There. If the punching tool does not move parallel to the drive shaft 10, no space is required for its movement in this direction. As a result, the rotating about an axis parallel to the drive shaft 10 Bandtrom mel 20 can be moved closer to the punch 32 than was previously possible; the space immediately above and below the punching tool can also be fully utilized elsewhere. The band drum rotating about a vertical axis can even, as shown (FIG. 7), partially overlap the spacer 41.
One such arrangement is. technically significant. Not only is space saved and the size of the machine reduced, but the arrangement of the belt drum 20 in the immediate vicinity of the punching tool 32 and thus also in the immediate vicinity of the hammers 34 favorably influences the quality of the zippers that can be produced.
So that a zip fastener works properly, it is necessary that the fastener elements 3 are applied to the band 1 at equal distances from one another, the tolerance limit for deviations in the distances from one another being extremely small. In order to obtain a uniform distance, the belt drum 2 pulls the belt 1 with constant force past the point where the links 3 are separated from the strip 8 and placed on the belt 1.
It can easily be seen that with constant tensile force, the distance between the links a from one another is only uniform if the qualities of the belt 1, in particular its elasticity and flexibility, are uniform over the entire length of the belt. Slight differences in quality on the same belt are practically inevitable, however, and their influence on the spacing of the links 3 from one another is less, the shorter the length of the belt section between the point at which the links 3 are separated and on the belt 1 and the point where the tensile force acts on the band 1. The closer now the band drum.
20 to the punching tool 32 and the flaniner 34, the shorter the length of this band section can be and the better the quality of the zipper produced under otherwise bleeding conditions.
In addition to the belt drum 20, in the machine described, the fingers 37 for feeding the strip 8 and the ejector 37 for removing the strip 5 from the link 3 that has just been separated and from the die 33 are close to the punching tool 32 arranged.
The drive shaft 10 is directly coupled to the shaft 115 of the electric motor 11. The frame 116 of the electric motor 11 also serves as a support for the device 14.
From FIG. 9 it can be seen that the finger 37, while it is returning downward into its starting position, is out of contact with the strip 8 and its pre-formed protrusions 5. This prevents damage to the strip 8 by scratching during the return movement of the finger. This is particularly beneficial.
In contrast to known machines of the present type, the punching tool 3 \? countries with its drive member or drive members (40 to 42) not firmly connected. It can therefore be removed from the machine in the simplest way for repair purposes or to replace it with another similar punching tool by unscrewing the two holders 45 (see FIGS. 11 and 12) of the guide from the carrier 44. However, it can also simply be pulled out of its guide channel after removing the parts 41, 42.
The punch 3 \ _ 'can be kept small; it is therefore only light in weight and is particularly well suited to work uni at high speed. Although the punching tool 32 could be driven by a simple eccentric disk, the eccentric ball bearing (40) is to be preferred, as this significantly reduces the friction. The movements of the belt drum and the tool 32 are particularly precisely timed and coordinated with one another, since both are actuated by means of one and the same eccentric disk 40.
As can best be seen from Fig. 11 and. 13 recognizes, the head 47 of the punching tool 32 has recesses in order to receive the projections 5 of the strip 8 and thereby prevent damage to the projections during the punching process.
The tape drum. 20 has a stocky shape and can be easily assembled and disassembled; it can be lubricated in a simple manner without the danger of contaminating the belt 1 under normal working conditions.
a number of modifications of the described embodiment are possible, please include. For example, the finger 37 could act on that side of the strip 8 which is provided with coupling recesses. In this case, the recesses 111 of the finger 37 would have to be replaced by projections that come into engagement with the coupling recesses of the strip 8 during operation. The punching tool could have lateral grooves in place of the shoulders 43 into which the corresponding guide shoulders of the guide members engage.
