Cinematographic camera. The present invention relates to an apparatus for cinematographic shots comprising a corridor for guiding the film, a shutter for holding the film in the corridor, a claw for its drive and a counter for the length of film used.
In such an apparatus, four operations must be carried out for the introduction of a film, namely: 1 opening of the cover; 2 removal of the claw; 3 opening the shutter; 4 resetting the counter.
On existing devices, these four operations are performed in various ways. In some devices each operation must be performed individually, in others two operations are grouped. For example: opening the shutter and removing the claw are. carried out by the same maneuver while the counter reset is independent; or again: the counter is reset to zero with the opening of the shutter and the removal of the claw is independent.
In still other devices, the operations indicated above are. combined with opening the lid.
Assuming that the. zeroing of the counter and the removal of the claw are done when the cover is opened, so there is only one maneuver to do for loading, that is, the opening of the shutter. This solution has certain drawbacks, since it is not possible to advance the film while holding the device or green, the claw not entering the perforations.
In addition, having the counter reset by opening the cover may be a cause of false estimation of the length of film remaining to be used, since it may happen that the opening has to be opened. device to check its operation, for example.
The cinematographic camera according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a device allowing the opening of the shutter, the removal of the claw and the resetting of the counter by a single maneuver. independent of the opening of the device cover.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the apparatus according to the invention.
Fig. 1 shows in partial section the drive mechanism of the. claw and counter, and fig. 2 is a plan view.
Fig. 3 is a plan view of the mechanism controlling the opening of the shutter, and FIGS. 4 and to are side views of the first, the shutter being closed and of the second, the shutter being open.
Figs. 6 and 7 show, seen in plan from below and in profile, the driving mechanism of the counter. In this device, the claw 1 is pivoted at one of its ends on an eccentric 2 fixed on the shaft 3 rotating in a bearing 4 riveted to a plate 5. In the active position, the other end of the claw 1 presses, thanks to a tension spring 8, by means of a stud 6, on a rivet 7 fixed to the plate 5. When the device stops, the claw occupies the position of the sinée in fig. . 1 and 2.
A lever 9 pivoted at one of its ends on a column 10 integral with the plate 5 is provided at its other end with a finger 11 passing through a notch in the plate 5, as well as a operating button 12. In operating condition of the apparatus, the lever 9, subjected to the action of a spring 14, occupies a position in which the finger 11. do not touch the claw 1.
This lever 9 also has between its two ends a boss 18 intended to come into contact with the shutter 15 (see FIGS. 2 and 3) under the action of the spring 14.
In operating position., The shutter. 15 maintains the film in the corridor 16. This shutter is pivoted at 17 on a flange integral with the corridor 16. A leaf spring 19 fixed on the corridor 16 presses on the shutter 15 on the other side of its pivot point 17 and tends to release the shutter from the hallway.
Under plate 5 is mounted the device for zeroing the counter (see fig. 6 and <B> 7). </B> A lever 20 pivoted at 21 and held against the plate by a rivet 22 supports the extremity of a shaft 23 carrying a pinion 25. A tension spring 24 produces a torque on the lever 20 around the point 21 and applies the toothed pinion 25 to a worm 26 while the device is running. The shaft 23 carries at its other end a disc 27 por both the graduations of the counter. This shaft 23 rotates in a bearing 28 and a torque is transmitted to it by a torsion spring 29.
The disc 27 has a tab 30 intended to abut against a stud 31 of the plate 5 when all the film has been used. The counter is controlled by a toothed wheel 32 and by the intermediary of a second toothed wheel 33 integral with the endless screw 26 pivoting on an axis 34 riveted to the plate 5.
The lever 20 is placed in such a way that in the operating position its rounded beak 35 does not touch the finger 11 of the lever 9. Before loading the device, the torsion spring 29 is tensioned and like the worm screw. 26 and pinion 25 are meshed, this spring 29 cannot bring disk 27 to zero.
The operation of the mechanism described above is as follows.
When you want to load a new film into the device, after having opened it, you move the lever 9 in the direction of arrow 7.3 (fig. 2 and 6) by means of the operating button 12. The finger 11 then comes to rest on the claw 1 and causes the latter to be withdrawn. The claw 1 pivots on the eccentric <B> '3 </B> and tightens the spring 8.
At the same time that the lever 9 is moved, the shutter 15 is released and pivots at 17 thanks to the spring 19. The shutter then assumes the position shown in FIG. 5.
During the same movement of lever 9, finger 11 comes into contact with rounded ber_ 35 then slides on it, which has the effect of rotating lever 20 around point 21, in the direction of arrow 36 (fig. . 6). The lever 20 drives in its movement the pinion 25 which is then uncoupled from the worm 26 and allows the spring 29 to set the disk 27 to zero, this position being. reached when the tab 30 comes. abut on the nipple 31.
A device at. hook or rocker, not shown, is further provided to hold lever 9 in the loading position.
From the above description, it can be seen that only one maneuver is necessary after opening the cover to remove the claw, open the shutter and set the counter to zero.
Once the film has been introduced into the apparatus, the lever 9 is returned to its initial position, as shown in fig. 2. To prevent the appliance cover from closing while lever 9 is in the open position, a baffle can still be provided. It would suffice, for example, to provide a boss on the cover which abuts against the maneuvering button 12 when the cover is to be closed while the lever 9 is in the loading position.
Instead of providing a baffle preventing the closure of the cover, it would be possible to provide a device which automatically returns the lever 9 to its initial position by closing the cover; for example, an inclined plane integral with the cover would act on the control button 12.
With an apparatus such as that described above, it is possible to control the passage of the film through the camera while the cover is open. In addition, this device gives the possibility of carrying out certain special effects requiring the opening of the cover while avoiding any maladjustment of the counter.
