(fig.
(fig.
Machine for bagging loads in valve bags.
The present invention relates to the automatic filling of loads of pulverulent or granular materials, previously weighed or metered, in valve bags of which the opening diameter of the valve is small, the width of the latter being, for example, between four and seven centimeters, and the load of these small bags varying, for example, between one hundred grams and five kilograms.
We know the difficulties that are already encountered in automatically bagging an ordinary valve bag of large capacity as soon as it is desired to be completely filled.
The difficulties are even greater when it comes to a bag of small dimensions. Moreover, if a valve bag, loaded at 25, 40 or 50 kilograms with a powder or granulated product is a little soft, that is to say insufficiently filled, this is of much less importance than in the case of a small bag, because the space taken by the bagging tube of the bagging machine is proportionately much larger in a small bag than for a large bag. Also, it is advisable to also fill the bag at the location of the bagging tube when this tube is withdrawn from the bag valve.
The present invention relates to a machine for bagging loads of materials in valve bags, the valve diameter of which is small, comprising a hopper intended to receive the load to be bagged, which hopper comprises a bagging tube. intended to be introduced into the bag valve, a support intended to receive the bags to be filled and integral with the hopper, characterized in that it comprises means for allowing the assembly formed by said hopper and by said support to pivot around a horizontal axis, this so that the filling of the bag can begin, the bag being in a substantially vertical position, and end, the bag being in a substantially horizontal position.
In this way, the contents of the tube can, as said tube is released from the valve, come to fill the space left free in the bag by the withdrawal of this tube.
Preferably, the oscillating assembly is disposed with clearance between two fixed stops, and the axis of oscillation is positioned so that the passage of the material to be dispensed from the hopper to the bag to be filled causes the center of gravity to pass from The assembly oscillating from one side of the axis of oscillation to the other, which automatically causes the passage of the movable assembly from a limit position against one of the stops placed so that the support of the bag is then substantially horizontal, at another limit position against the other stop placed so that the support of the bag is then substantially vertical.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a front view, with parts broken away, of a machine according to the invention.
Fig. 2 is a corresponding side view.
Figs. 3, 4 and 5 are schematic front views showing the oscillating part of the machine in three successive angular positions.
The machine comprises, above a horizontal table 1, two parallel flanges 2, vertical. These flanges carry journals 3, of horizontal axis X-X (FIG. 2) belonging to an oscillating assembly. This assembly comprises a hollow central body 4 to which said journals 3 are fixed; this central body is placed at the base of a hopper 5, fixed to it by means of flanges 6. The body 4, seen in profile, has a triangle-shaped section, the lower edge of which is replaced by a cylindrical part 7. It contains, in this cylindrical part, a screw 8, intended to push the product to be distributed which has fallen from the hopper 5 towards a bagging tube 9 which extends the cylindrical part 7 and which is preferably curved downwards. at its open end at 10.
The screw 8 is driven in rotation by means of an electric motor 11, fixed laterally against the central body 4, opposite the bagging tube 9.
Under its bottom, the body 4 is extended by a vertical tab 12, against which is fixed a support 13, provided with an end rim 14. This support is intended to receive a bag 15 to be filled. This bag is of small volume and it is provided with a small valve 16 of short length constituting a reinforcement of the filling opening of the bag, through which the bagging tube 9 enters the interior of the bag.
This tube 9 is provided, as known per se, with a lever 9a articulated at 9b on a support 9c fixed to the body 4, and subjected to the action of a spring 9d, such that the end of this lever press constantly on the top of the bag to keep it on the tube 9.
The hopper 5, which is open at its upper part 17 for the introduction of the product to be dispensed, is provided with two pairs of legs 18, 19, intended to cooperate respectively with stops 20 and 21, carried by the flanges 2. These stops are arranged so that, when the tabs 19 bear against the stops 21 (fig. 3), the surface ab of the support 13 on which the bag 15 rests is slightly inclined to the horizontal and upwardly. a towards b, while when the tabs 18 are in contact with the stops 20 (fig. 5), said ab supporting surface is almost vertical and descending from a towards b.
The hopper also carries a rod 22 along which a counterweight 23 can be moved, capable of being immobilized in position, for example by means of a screw 24.
Finally, the oscillating assembly is secured to a lever 25, keyed on one of the journals 3, and on which one can act using a pull tab 26.
With a view to using a valve bag, the machine is completed, apart from the oscillating assembly, by a glue receptacle 27, the bottom of which is closed by a roller 28 for distributing glue. This roller rolls on another gluing roller 29, i 'or on an axis 30 carried by the flanges 2. This roller 29 is at a height above the table slightly greater than the thickness l of the bag when is full.
The operation of the machine is as follows: The counterweight 23 is adjusted along the rod 22, such that, at rest, the machine is very substantially in the position of FIG. 1, that is, the center of gravity of the oscillating assembly is located at a point such that G, below X, in the vertical plane Y-Y passing through. Y.
This said, when a powdery or granular product 31 (semolina or grains for example) is introduced into the hopper 17, the center of gravity of the assembly passes from position G to a position situated to the right of the plane YY, in such a way so that the oscillating assembly, which loses its equilibrium, oscillates in the direction of the arrow / around the axis, until the tabs 19 come to bear against the stops 21, which stops the oscillating assembly in the position of fig. 3. We then put the empty bag 15 SUI-the surface clb of the support 13, the bagging tube 9 entering the valve 16 of the bag, valve located near the top 32 of this bag.
The electric motor 11 is then started, and the screw 8 drives the product 31 through the tube 9 into the bag 15. The material distributed first falls at 31a into the bottom of this bag.
As the bag fills, the level of the product rising in the bag, the oscillating weight located to the left of the YY plane increases, while that located to the right of this plane decreases due to the emptying of the hopper. The center of gravity moves to the left and, as soon as it has crossed the Y-Y plane, the oscillating assembly leaves the position of FIG. 3 and takes all the intermediate positions between the limit positions of FIG. 3 and fig. 5, ceei so that the center of gravity remains on the Y-Y plane. At a given instant, it is, for example, in the position of FIG. 4. The assembly finally takes the position of FIG.
5, determined by the meeting of the tabs 18 and the stops 20, at the very moment when the bag is practically full.
This is obtained by an appropriate adjustment of the counterweight 23. This counterweight is adjusted so that, when the bag is full and the assembly is in the position according to fig. 5, the center of gravity is to the left of the Y-Y plane.
In this position of FIG. 5, the bag which is in a substantially horizontal position abandons by gravity the surface ab of the support 13 by tilting around the rim
14 of this support to finally fall at 15a on table 1. While the bag passes from position 15 to position 15a
(fig. 5), the bagging tube 9 emerges from the valve 16 and the volume it occupied inside
laughter of this bag is filled with the product still contained in this pouring tube below the end of screw 8.
We see that on condition of having paid to the
previously in the hopper 17 the quantity 31 of the
exactly matching bagging product
to the volume of the bag 15 fully filled, that
the mechanism allows full filling
of the bag 15 since, as a result of the tilting of the oscillating assembly, all the product poured into the hopper is finally bagged, which would not be the case with a fixed apparatus in which the tube 9 would be and would remain for example horizontal, because at the time of the removal of the bag, the space occupied in the valve and in the bag by the tube 9 would remain empty, given that before the withdrawal of the bag, the screw 8 must necessarily be stopped by stopping the motor 11, to avoid any loss of the product to be bagged.
On the contrary, thanks to the fact that the withdrawal of the bag occurs at a time when the tube 9 is substantially vertical and directed from top to bottom, the last portion of the product to be bagged contained in this tube downstream of the screw falls from it - even, despite the stopping of this screw 8, in the bag.
It should be noted that in addition, the basement of the bag allows a better compaction of the product to be bagged and, consequently, a better filling due to the fact that at each moment the jet of the product which flows through the opening. of the tube 9 is directed exactly towards the part of the bag to be filled. We see in fact, in fig. 3 to 5, that this jet is directed first towards the bottom of the bag then towards the angle c of this bag
(fig. 5), which would not be the case with filling the bag in which the tube 9 remains horizontal, unless the material is violently thrown out of the tube 9.
Experience has shown that the effects of the tilting of the oscillating assembly analyzed above, effects to which is added the propulsive force due to the screw 8, finally make it possible to obtain such perfect settlement of the product in the bag. that which would be obtained by subjecting said bag to vibrations or to prolonged tapping, so that the bag which is perfectly filled when it falls on the table remains thereafter despite the handling to which this bag is subjected until it is opened and which could cause the product to settle if the initial jam was insufficient.
It should be noted that if during the bag filling maneuver, it is observed that, as a result of insufficient settlement, all the load poured into the hopper 17 will not succeed in entering the bag 15, an additional settlement can be caused. of the product by stirring the oscillating assembly several times using the pull tab 26 and the lever 25, the bag being held on its support by the locking lever 9a.
In a variant, the device for propelling the material to be bagged may consist of a compressed air ejector.
The machine which has just been described can, of course, be used with small bags provided with a valve of the standard type. However, this machine can also be used with bags of other types.
