Labyrinth seal for linearly moving mass parts. The invention relates to a labyrinth line for linearly moving machine parts, in particular for pistons and pistons. In known labyrinth lines for pistons and the like, in which the rings so that they are not attached to the entire circumference the Dielltuii-siläehe, are invariable in diameter, often inadmissibly large losses of leakage occur.
The l ,, rfiiiduiig- aims to admit this disadvantage. It relates to a labyrinth line in which the labyrinth is formed on an open, radially resilient ring, the relaxation of the ring limiting means are provided, such as
that a gap is maintained between your labyrinth and the Dieht-Lingsfliiehe, which works with it, and that the ring can be moved in the radial direction without changing the durometer.
In the drawing Ausführungsbei are shown games of the subject invention. kn el kl The Fi.-. 1 to 3 show a first example, in plan view or in cross section or in side view.
FIGS. 4 to 6 show analogous representations of a second example. FIGS. 7 and 8 show a further example of a piston in a longitudinal section or in a section along line VIII-VIII in FIG. 7. B> Figures 9 to 11 show details of this embodiment on a larger scale.
In the labyrinth seal according to FIGS. 1 to 3 , the open ring 1 with the labyrinth iii, the groove 2 of a piston is inserted with radial play. The ring, e.g. B. made of steel, springs like an ordinary piston ring, but is prevented by the undercut 4 from springing open over a certain diameter, so that a gap remains between the ring and the cylinder wall 5 . The two ring ends engaging behind one another lie in recesses 6 which allow the ring to be compressed.
The Rino is, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, secured against axial displacement in the groove 2 by a wave-shaped flat member 9 which alternately in corresponding ring grooves in the piston ring and in the base of the groove 2 protrudes.
In the case of the seal according to FIGS. 4 to 6, the labyrinth 3 is provided inside the open ring 7 . The ring has a tendency to compress. Its relaxation is limited by the areas 8 of the parting line, which lie against one another when the ring is overlaid on itself.
In the design according to FIGS. 7 to 12, each labyrinth ring comprises two axially separated, open ring parts 11 and 11, e.g. #I which are coupled to one another so that they cannot be moved in the radial direction.
The piston 10 is lifted on the circumference and provided at one end with an annular flange 10 ' stepped on one side. As spacers for the labyrinth rings, which are stepped accordingly in width, rings 12 are pushed onto the piston, which, analogously to the flange 10 'on one side, are stepped in thickness on both sides. Rings 13 are provided between the rings 12, which serve as a base for the ring parts 11, 11 '. A deek ring 14 which is stepped symmetrically to the flange 10 ' and which is attached to the piston by means of visual surfaces 14 "presses the rings 12, 13 axially against one another.
The ends of the parts 11, 11 ' of the labyrinth rings are each held together by means of claw-like locks 15 pushed in from the side. The locks rest against the inner surface of the respective ring without play, so that they cover the joint from the inside.
The ring parts 11, 11 ' are each immovable in the axial direction between two surfaces 16 and 17 (Fig. 9) < / B> held by rings 12 or 13 , with thermal expansions being made possible in the alignment as a result of leaving a rotational joint 23 .
In the radial direction, the ring parts can only move together, since they are prevented from moving radially relative to one another by a coupling ring 21, which is inserted into one another with a snug fit, of the parts. The coupling rings 21 are divided so that they can spring.
The locks 15 holding the ends of the ring parts 11 and 11 'are somewhat shorter in the circumferential direction than the cut-outs in the ring parts in which they sit so that the ring can be squeezed together.
The coupling rings 21 are at the point of the joint between the ring parts 11 and 11 ' with a radial bore 18 and the edges of the labyrinth ring parts on the The inside is provided with radial inserts 20 so that pressure medium (steam) passes through the joint between the ring parts behind the labyrinth ring and over the entire width of the ring to the side gap 19 , weeks Driiel # a- Lisgleieh is effective.
Each ring part 11, 11 ' has, as FIG. 11 shows, a multiply tied parting line 22. The parting joints of the two ring parts are on the circumference offset against each other. The ring parts could be C atieli here by springs as in the execution, according to Fio. 1 to 13 are centered.
