Clamping device for members to be welded together at an angle. The subject matter of the invention is a clamping device for rods made of weldable metal, preferably iron, which are welded to one another at an angle. In this case, rods are to be understood as meaning stal) shaped profiled materials and pipes of all kinds.
So far, such pieces of tape, rod, pipe and the like have been welded together in such a way that they are first clamped together with a file after appropriate preparation or they are simply put together on a flat surface and then each placed at an angle - in a whimsical manner,
in order to finally weld them together in the position thus achieved. These various measures require an extremely long time and in no way guarantee that the work is really precise and always even.
Furthermore, it often happens that with various visual weldings, these cannot be carried out directly, but that the seam to be welded must first be tacked in order to then be able to carry out the entire weld without major delay.
In most cases this is different ways of joining, aligning and welding together. It is practically inevitable that due to the influence of heat and the stresses caused by it, a more or less large delay occurs and this makes it necessary to re-report the welded iron or metal parts, which in turn leads to corresponding uncleanliness and often also leads to damage.
The Einspanneinriehtung according to the invention is intended. now to eliminate these disadvantages. It is characterized by an inner and an outer clamping part, each of which has a pair of clamping jaws, with the clamping surfaces of the jaws of different clamping parts facing each other in pairs and the spalun surfaces of the jaws of the same clamping part at an angle to one another, but at a distance from the apex of the angle are ordered, further characterized by a screw running in the bisector to move the inner clamping part against the outer one,
whereby the screw bolt does not protrude over the inner clamping part in the direction of the outer clamping part.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. They show: Fig. 1.ca and 1b a first example embodiment of the subject of the invention in side view and plan view, Fig.2a. and FIG. 2b shows a second exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention in side view and top view and FIGS. 3a to 32rt different profile and angle shapes that can be welded with the device according to the invention.
In Fig. La and 1b, 1 and 2 designate the outer and inner clamping part, each of which has a pair of clamping jaws 3, 4 and 5, 6, respectively. The clamping surfaces of the jaws 3 and 5 and the jaws 4 and 6 are opposite one another. Furthermore, the clamping surfaces of the same clamping part, so the clamping surfaces of the jaws 3, 4 on the one hand and 5, 6 on the other hand, are arranged at an angle to each other, but at a distance from the apex of the angle. At its riiekwärtsigen end of the outer clamping part 1 carries the extension piece 7, in which the bolt 8 extending in the direction of the bisector is guided.
This screw benbolzen 8 extends backwards to the handle 9, while its front end engages in a bore of the inner clamping part 2, which also bisects the angle and is equipped with a corresponding internal thread, so that the inner clamping part engages 2 can be moved against the outer clamping part 1 by simply turning the handle 9. The screw bolt 8 protrudes. but not beyond the clamping part 2 in the direction of the clamping part 1.
Because the jaws of the same clamping part are arranged at a distance from one another, the parts to be inserted into the device and welded together are freely and easily accessible on all sides at the points to be welded.
Handling and operation of such a device are very simple and result from their design by themselves. First, the device is geöff net or the inner clamping part 2 is removed from the clamping surfaces of the jaws 3 and 4 of the outer clamping part 1 by turning the handle 9 accordingly moved away or backwards and thereby the receiving space for the pieces to be welded together between the clamping surfaces of the outer clamping part 1 and the clamping surfaces of the inner clamping part 2 is exposed. In this receiving space, those to be welded together and -. required angular cut pieces inserted.
Subsequently, the inner clamping part 2 is moved forward by appropriate Dre hen of the handle 9, and the zri welded pieces between this and the clamping surfaces of the outer clamping part 1 are firmly and securely in this way. pressed in. or clamped so that they lie exactly at the desired (in the illustrated case, a right angle) angle to each other.
In this securely fixed position, the clamped pieces are stretched on all sides at the points to be welded, and special straightening and tacking is just as superfluous as a message with which. all time and work demands associated with such measures as well as other disadvantages of the aforementioned type are omitted.
It is particularly advantageous to extend the IN ANY dene recess between the jaws of the outer clamping part 1 to a slot-shaped recess in the bottom part of this clamping part running in the alignment ring of the bisector, since. you can then easily and effortlessly weld pieces together ver, which extend as such or with part of their profile substantially horizontally between the vertically standing up the clamping surfaces of the outer clamping part and the vertical clamping surfaces of the inner clamping part.
Furthermore, the device can also be designed so that the outer clamping part has two or more jaws that can be adjusted with respect to one another by changing the working angle, while the inner clamping part has a two- or multi-armed pressure piece that has a corresponding, angularly adjustable jaw on each arm Cheek carries. In this way, the essential and additional special advantage is achieved that the device for clamping pieces to be welded together can be used in any angle to be precisely fixed as required. Such a device is illustrated schematically in an exemplary embodiment in FIGS. 2a and 2b.
Again, 3 and 4 draw the jaws of the outer clamping part and 7 the rear, the guide of the screw bolt 8 with the handle 9 serving extension piece of the outer clamping part. However, this carries two jaws 10 and 11 which can be adjusted relative to one another by means of a screw connection while changing the working angle, while the inner clamping part has a two-armed pressure piece 14 with the angularly adjustable jaws 12 and 13, respectively.
In the described embodiments of the subject matter of the invention, it is also advantageous to use the vertical clamping surfaces (working edge surfaces) of the outer and / or inner clamping part. a horizontal guide groove, preferably prismatic cross-section, for the workpieces to be held. This is particularly useful for clamping round pieces, and in all other cases it offers a special guarantee that the parts to be welded together when clamped in the device come to a completely identical position.
The outer clamping part. is, at its part facing away from the angle tip. a storage for a screw bolt equipped, by means of which the inner clamping part can be moved back and forth by screws in the direction of the bisecting angle. The approach piece serving this storage is. open at the top, i.e. on the side facing away from the bottom part of the outer clamping part. This offers the advantage of being able to remove the inner clamping part with the screw bolt as required, if it is to be or has been encompassed by the workpiece, so that clamping or welding of [J and similar parts with the aid of the Facility is possible ..
Furthermore, it is recommended that the threaded hole of the inner clamping part receiving the screw bolt run through only part of the same, in order to prevent any other contamination of the threaded hole by particles jumping off during welding and to always ensure smooth turning back and forth .
Finally, it is also advisable to round off the lower working edge of the clamping surfaces of the inner clamping part in order to enable the working edge surfaces of the inner clamping part to rest smoothly against profile iron and the like in each case.
In Figs. 3a to 3m, a number of exemplary profiles (Fig.3a to 3h) and angular shapes (Fig.3i to 3m,) are shown as they are used in such devices for demonstrating the diverse applicability of devices of the type described Can be clamped to facilitate welding.
