Description

Watch balance. The object of the present invention is a watch maker.

This balance is characterized by the fact that it comprises at least one pair of diametrically opposed mass-burbot and. separate from the rim, to which they are connected by means allowing them to be moved radically, with the aim of modifying the moment of inertia of the balance.

The single figure of the appended drawing shows an embodiment of the subject of the invention, given by way of example.

It represents a pendulum, of which 1 is the pivot and 2 the serge.

This one: carries two radial screws 3 and 4, diametrically opposed, and whose end facing the pivot is cylindrical and passes through a weight 5, respectively 6.

In the axis of the screw, each weight is trapped without beating between the shoulder of the screw delimiting the threaded part, and a ring 7, respectively 8, driven on the cylindrical end following the thread.

Pairs of pins 9, 10, respectively 11, 12, driven into the rim, guide. the weights in the radial movement that the screwing or unscrewing -screws 3 and. 4 can make them perform, these pins opposing any rotation of the weights around the axis of the screws.

It is clear that depending on the direction of rotation iiiiprimé to the screws, the latter will be brought closer to or away from the pivot, simultaneously with the weights, thus varying the moment of inertia of the balance.

The weights shown are. curved in ares of circles of radius such that they are likely to come to rest against the internal face of the serge within which they are arranged.

It is also possible, instead of screwing the screws into the rim and letting them turn crazy in the weights, proceed in the reverse way by screwing them in the mass-burts, while they would turn crazy in. the serge.

The guiding .des weights could also be obtained by means other than two pins for each of them, for example by a groove.

Finally, it is obvious that the weights could, in a similar manner, be located outside the serge.
