Fig. 2, die eine Draufsicht ist.

Device for cleaning handpieces of dental drills.
The present invention relates to a device for cleaning attachable handpieces of dental drills, in which the moving parts of the handpiece are taken along by means of a claw coupling, characterized in that it has a platform carried at a distance above a socket and provided with an opening , further characterized by a plate held by the platform, a sleeve attached to this plate and protruding downward beyond the plate,
on which a part on the drive end of the handpiece to be cleaned can be pushed open and held in the closed position by means of resilient holding means attached to the sleeve, a shaft rotatably supported in the sleeve with actuating means and claws, which the latter are intended to be connected to the claws of the handpiece in To be brought into engagement, and further by a container for cleaning liquid, which is intended to be geste] lt on the base in such a way that when the handpiece to be cleaned is attached, the latter protrudes into the container.
The enclosed drawing represents an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a section along line I-I of
Fig. 2 which is a plan view.
The device is shown together with a handpiece 1 to be cleaned. A base 2 belongs to the device. Four pillars 3 arranged in a square carry a platform 4 at a distance of 9. This has a recess, the direction of which is offset in 5 so that a round plate 7 can be placed on a shoulder 6. The plate 7 can be clamped to the platform 4 by means of two very on ben 8. Before the plate 7 is pushed into the recess, a semicircular incision 9 provided on its circumference must be brought into alignment with a pin 10 that partially protrudes from the wall of the recess.
A shaft is rotatably mounted in a two-part sleeve 11, 12 which is fastened to the plate 7 and projects downward beyond the plate. This is also in several parts: with a shaft piece 13, an intermediate piece 15 provided with a shoulder 16 is connected by means of a pin 14. This slides in a sleeve 18 fastened in the sleeve part 11 by means of screws 17. The end faces of this sleeve 18 slide partly on the shoulder 16 of the intermediate piece 15, and partly on a side surface of a ring 19 which is connected to the adapter 15 by means of a pin 20.
The pin 20 also serves as a connection between the connecting piece 15 and a driver part 21 which has claws which cooperate with similar claws of the driven part of the handpiece. ANTie at the end of the usual flexible shafts of Zahnbohrmasehinen resilient means for holding the hand piece 1 are attached to the sleeve part 11 by means of the screws 17. These means include a leaf spring 23 bent in 22 and an element 27 bent in 24, fastened to leaf spring 23 in 25 and provided with a retaining tooth 26 at the bottom.
The uppermost part 28 pushed over the sleeve part 11 at the drive end against the flexible shaft of the usual handpieces 1 has an elongated incision, by means of which it is guided on the screws 17, and also an inclined incision 29, in which the holding tooth 26 when the handpiece 1 is attached intervenes. Only when the upper part of the element 27 has been pressed against the screws 17 can the handpiece 1 be removed from the sleeve part 11.
A pinion 31, which meshes with a gear 32, is held in place by means of a screw 30 on an end of the shaft piece 13 protruding beyond the plate 7. The latter is rotatably mounted on a bolt 33 screwed into the plate 7; The gear wheel 32 and the pinion 31 together form a transmission gear, when activated by means of a Kiirhelknopf 34, which is rotatably mounted on a pin 35 attached to the gear wheel 32, the shafts 13, 15, 21 and the rotating parts of the handpiece 1 in motion be set.
NlitT 36 is a container, e.g. B. denotes a glass bottle which is filled with cleaning liquid 37 and which is placed on the base 2 in such a way that the attached handpiece protrudes into the container. The level of this liquid is approximately at the level of the upper edge of the upper part of the handpiece 28 in the position of use of the device.
The handpiece 1 pushed onto the sleeve part 11 is then completely immersed in the cleaning liquid 37 and is flushed through it from bottom to top when its moving parts are driven by the driver part 21 at a reading speed of about 100-200 rpm.
The liquid 37 is expediently designed in such a way that it also disinfects and lubricates the handpiece.
With the device described, other handpieces of dental drills can be cleaned, e.g. B. Elbows.
