B, eingelegt. Jedes Kammsystem besteht a. us einer Reihe von U-f¯rmigen B geln 1, 3, 5 usw. bzw.
Fig. 6).
Pfeil in Fig. 7).
Method and device for determining the stacking diagram of fiber material.
The staple diagram is preferably used to assess the quality of fiber material in the spinning mill. In the usual representation, the fiber length is plotted in a right-angled coordinate system on the ordinate axis and the sum of the number of fibers of the relevant length and those of greater length as a percentage of the total number of fibers on the abscissa axis. In this diagram, the fibers are individually plucked with tweezers and sorted according to their length and, starting with the longest fibers, placed on a piece of velvet at equal intervals from left to right .
The result is a figure that matches the stack diagram. The creation of the diagram in this way is time consuming and can only be done by a very experienced workforce with some skill. To this work f'it zii. facilitate, various devices are already in use, the primary purpose of which is to arrange the fiber material so that one end of all fibers of different lengths lies in one and the same plane perpendicular to the fiber axis. Such a fiber bundle is referred to as an end-ordered fiber bundle ".
The methods and apparatus used up to now to determine the stacking diagram from the tufts of fibers that have ended up leaving a lot to be desired in terms of ease of use and time required. The same also applies to the production of the end-ordered fiber tufts.
These disadvantages are largely avoided by the present invention. It concerns a method for determining the stacking diagram of fiber material and consists in the fact that ¯ from the fiber material to be examined an end-ordered fiber tuft is formed, which is brought into a space with a rectangular cross section of constant width, whereupon the H¯ along this fiber tuft The respective rectangular cross-sections of the fiber bundle can be measured in order to use these heights as a measure of the percentage of fibers present at the measurement point.
The invention also comprises a device for carrying out the method according to the invention. It has a device for producing a tufted fiber clump and a measuring device for classifying this tuft of fibers in a space of rectangular cross-section of constant width and for measuring the heights of the cross-sections of the tufted fiber at various points along the tuft.
The device for producing the end-ordered fiber tufts advantageously has one. Pliers guided in the axial direction of the fibers and a transversely movable repositioning system and, apart from the gap that serves as a space, the measuring device has a clamping device for the fiber bundle and a measuring stamp that fits into the space and is connected to an instrument for displaying the height of the measuring cross-section .
An embodiment of the invention is given below a. n Hand of the seven figures of the drawing explained in more detail.
Show there:
Fig. 1 shows a device for arranging the fiber material in an end-arranged fiber bundle in elevation,
2 shows the same device in partially section, with various movable elements being shown in a different position,
3 shows the same device in outline, with the movable elements in the same position as in FIG. 9,
4 shows a measuring device for measuring the end-ordered fiber tuft in elevation,
Fig. 5 shows the same device in the side rī and the
6 and 7 individual parts from FIGS. 1 to 3.
The device for producing a tuft of fibers arranged at the ends according to FIGS. 1 to 3, 6 and 7 consists mainly of an upper and lower Eamm- system A, B, the tongs 11 guided on two rails 12 and 13 and the tongs 11 across Forceps 11 movable repositioning system 14.
The handling of this device is as follows: A sufficient sample of the fiber material, the stacking diagram of which is to be determined, is placed in a known manner between the upper and lower embankment systems A and B, which is not described in detail here. Each comb system consists of a. a series of U-shaped brackets 1, 3, 5 etc. resp.
2, 4, 6, etc., each carrying a comb 10 consisting of fine needles (see Fig. 6).
These gams are the same, while the brackets are designed in this way. that the next one fits into the previous one, so that the ridges are kept parallel to each other at a distance of a few millimeters. The combs are attached to the brackets so that the tips of the needles of each comb system lie in one plane, the level of the tips of the upper comb system A being lower than that of the lower comb system B. The brackets are arranged in this way , that a crest of the upper ridge system always extends between two neighboring crests of the lower system.
The brackets of the upper comb system can be individually folded up in the direction indicated by the arrow, while those of the lower comb system can be pivoted downward in the direction of the arrow shown (FIGS. 2 and 3). At the beginning of the work to produce an end-ordered fiber bundle, both comb systems are in the rest position, that is, the tips of the upper and lower combs lie in two parallel planes that are close to one another, so that the fiber material is held between them.
Now the pliers 11 guided on the slide rails 12 and 13 in the axial direction of the fibers are moved from their starting position shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 to the left against the comb closest to them (FIG. 1) and that portion of the fiber material pulled out of the combs, which can be grasped by the pliers 11. This first portion of fibers is not used for the sample. Now the outermost bracket, for example bracket 1 of the lower comb system B, is folded down and a path which is 1 to 2 mm longer is given to the pliers 11 (FIG. 2).
In turn, fiber ends protrude from the now outermost comb 2 of the upper comb system A. us that can be detected by the pliers 11. The forceps 11 now gripped a tuft of fibers, the ends of which are practically all in the same plane. These fibers are a. Transferred to the rearrangement system 14, which in our exemplary arrangement consists of two combs 27 and 28 (FIG. 7). This is done as follows: After the forceps 11 has grasped the fiber bundle, it is withdrawn to the right and held in its rear position by a simple locking device 15 (FIG. 2).
By actuating a known lifting mechanism, not shown in detail, the relocation system 14 is moved upwards into the plane of the fibers, paying attention to the pin shown in FIG. 7, and penetrates the fibers at the ends. To facilitate the penetration of this rearrangement system 14 into the fibers, the fibers are pressed from above by means of a pusher 16 (see arrow in FIG. 7).
The forceps 11 are now opened so that they release the fiber ends and the Umlag'erystem 14 is withdrawn again by actuating the lifting device in the sense taught in the teachings, so that it comes more or less into the position according to FIG.
The game starts all over again. Another comb, in this case comb 2 of the upper comb system A, is folded back and the ends of the fibers are exposed again and can be grasped by the tongs guided against comb 3. After the forceps are withdrawn, the repositioning system 14 is again moved upwards and penetrates the fibers with the aid of the pusher 16. Thus, two fiber bundles are already combined in the rearrangement system 14 so that their ends lie in the same plane perpendicular to the fiber axis.
This process is now continued @ until all of the foldable combs. One after another, the tufts of fibers picked up by the tongs are gone and have been picked up in the repositioning system. The end result is a larger bundle of fibers, the ends of which are all in the same plane. These fibers are now pressed together by means of a simple device, not shown here, and brought into the mē device.
This Mē device is shown in FIGS. 4 and i and consists of a rectangular gap 26 of constant width let into a Mē block 19, a clamping device 17 and the measuring stamp 20 connected to the instrument 21.
To carry out the measurement, the fiber bundle arranged at the ends is inserted into the gap 26 and clamped at the ordered end by the clamping device 17. To determine the relative number of fibers that are present in the bundle 18 for a certain fiber length, the height A, which is variable with the fiber length, of the measuring cross-section, the width of which is kept constant by the gap 26, measured at certain intervals.
This ensures proportionality between the measured value and the cross-section and thus between the measured value and the number of fibers present in the relevant cross-section.
The height h at the clamping point is equated to a fiber content of 100%. The punch 20, which is connected to the instrument 21, directly measures the height of the rectangular cross-section of constant width in a mechanical manner by exerting constant pressure on the fibers under the influence of a weight 22.
To avoid the friction between the walls of the measuring block 19, a known shaking mechanism, not shown here, is also used, which gives the punch 20 a vibration for a certain time, which on the one hand practically eliminates the friction of the same at the ends of the gap 26 and on the other hand for example. irregularly lying fibers even closer together.
urged. The clamping device 17 can be moved in the direction of the fiber axis with respect to the measuring stamp by means of screw spindle 23 and crank 24, whereby the relative position of the clamping device to the measuring stamp and thus the Lao of the respective measurement cross-section can be read on a scale 25.
The device described allows the staple diagram of fiber material to be determined quickly and conveniently and with: for high accuracy textile measurement technology. Compared to the binary lines known up to now, the production of the end-arranged fiber bundle with the aid of the guided pliers 11 and the folding apparatus 14 is made much easier. The measurement of the cross section to determine the fiber content of the tufts arranged at the ends makes further, time-consuming operations, such as counting the individual fibers, separating the fibers of the same length and weighing them, etc., superfluous.
Keeping one dimension constant and measuring the variation in the other dimension of the measurement cross-section makes the measurement extremely simple and provides precise results.
