Le fonctionnement du mécanisme de re montage automatique est le suivant: Lorsque la masse 1 oscille dans le sens de la flèche 14; la roue solaire 3. restant fixe, les satellites 4 et 5 entraînent; par suite de leur double mouvement de translation circu laire autour de 3 et -de rotation autour de leur axe 4', la roue 6 dans le rapport déter miné -du différentiel et dans le sens de la flè- -che 15;
Self-winding timepiece. The object of the present invention is a timepiece with automatic winding by means of an oscillating mass, characterized in that the winding mass drives the shaft of the barrel by means of a differential gear.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view thereof and FIG. 2 a section along line II-H of .la fig. 1.
In the drawing, 1 denotes the board -of the winding mass pivoting freely on the hollow journal 2 'coming from a part with a bridge 2 of the movement or an auxiliary bridge supporting only the automatic winding mechanism. A wheel 3 is wedged on the journal 2 'by its axial rod 3'; this wheel 3 is the first sun wheel of a differential gear and it axially retains the mass 1 on the journal 2 '.
A first satellite wheel 4, the axis 4 'of which pivots freely in the plate 1 of the mass, is engaged with the wheel 3 around which it can turn in both directions. Following the oscillations of the mass 1.
On the other end of the axis 4 'which crosses the plate 1 of the mass, is wedged a wheel 5 which forms the second satellite wheel of the differential and is engaged with the last wheel 6, pivoting freely on the journal 2 '. This last wheel 6 of the differential drives the ratchet 13 of the barrel in the winding direction of the motor spring by means of a clutch device arranged so as to act in whatever direction: oscillations of mass 1.
This device comprises, on the one hand ,. a, first wheel: hand-held device 7, constantly engaged with wheel 6 and driving by a bréguet 8 a pinion 9 engaged with ratchet 13, on the other hand, a second hand-held wheel 10 in engagement with the first hand wheel -7 and driving by a bréguet 11 a pinion 12 also engaged with the ratchet 13.
The operation of the automatic reassembly mechanism is as follows: When the mass 1 oscillates in the direction of arrow 14; the sun wheel 3. remaining fixed, the satellites 4 and 5 drive; as a result of their double circular translational movement around 3 and rotation around their axis 4 ', the wheel 6 in the determined ratio -du differential and in the direction of the arrow 15;
the wheel 6 drives the traveling wheel 7 in the direction of the arrow 16 and the wheel 7 drives -by its bréguet 8 and the pinion 9 the ratchet 13 in the winding direction indicated by the arrow 17. The wheel 7 also drives the second traveling wheel 10 in the direction of arrow 18 opposite to direction 16, but this wheel 10 does not drive pinion 12, its spindle 11 being disengaged.
When the oscillating mass rotates in the opposite direction, according to arrow 14 ', the satel lites 4 and 5 drive the wheel 6 in the same determined ratio of the differential, but in the direction of the arrow l5'.
The wheel 6 drives the traveling wheel 7 @ in the direction of the arrow 16 ', which is that of the disengagement of the bréguet 8; pinion 9 is therefore not:
entered; but the wheel 7 drives as well. the second sweeping wheel 10, this makes in the direction of the arrow 18 'and it is this wheel 10 which, by its b: regiment 11 and, the pinion 12 drives the ratchet 13 in the winding direction according to arrow 17.
The use of: the differential to drive the barrel shaft makes it possible to achieve any ratio: of transmission with reduced bulk. And of: cogs with normal numbers of teeth, even for very high gear ratios of oscillations of the mass.
It goes without saying that one could use another clutch and release device and that one could drive by its intermediary another winding wheel, that the ratchet 13, for example the crown wheel.
