Une forme d'exécution, donnée à titre d'exemple, d'une bonde de vidange faisant. l'objet de la présente invention est ropré- sentée sur le dessin annexé dans lequel: La fig. 1 est une coupe verticale axiale à travers la bonde;
Valved drain plug for sanitary ware. The present invention relates to poppet drain plugs for sanitary appliances such as washbasins, bidets, bathtubs, etc.
At the present time, these bungs are made as follows: they comprise a fixed openwork lantern held in the ceramic by suitable means and forming a seat for a valve provided with a central rod guided in a trans bar. versal of the lantern.
On the lower end of this rod acts another curved rod controlled by a cam, helical screw or any other member of the same kind which causes the valve to rise or allows aon lowering.
Among other drawbacks of this arrangement, the following should be mentioned in particular: such a plug offers, on the passage of the drain water, various components (central rod of the valve, guide bar, rod lifting the valve ) which will stop the soiling with which the water is loaded (hair, grease, etc.), so that obstructions frequently occur, especially since the valve cannot be completely removed from the plug ,
it is difficult to carry out interior cleaning.
This drawback is entirely avoided with the bung which is the subject of the present invention and which is characterized in that the guiding of the valve is provided by peripheral tabs which fit into a fixed tube of the bung in which they move. ,
which allows the evacuation of the water not to meet any organ which could stop the impurities and, therefore, cause the orifice to be blocked.
This advantage is of primary importance, especially nowadays where the cost of labor is very high, since the unblocking of a sink, a bidet or a bathtub requires a rather considerable time if in particular, account is taken of the movement of the worker.
In addition, the valve can be lifted by one of the tabs which slide along the body of the bung. This tab may have a notch which allows a ball-and-socket rod held in the fixed part of the plug to raise or lower the valve to open or close the plug.
Finally, in current drain drains, the fixed part forming the valve seat must be fixed to the ceramic or to the cast iron by means of a lock nut.
In order to avoid this inconvenience, an annular valve seat can be provided which screws into the fixed part of the bung by acting above the ceramic. For this purpose, the annular seat may have notches internally which allow the insertion of a tightening tool.
This device has a particu- larly great advantage in the tightening of bathtub drains, since there is only a very small gap between the floor and the underside of the bathtub (approximately 14 cm). little space to work with tightening wrenches while operating from below,
which constitutes a drawback of which the skilled workers are always complained.
An embodiment, given by way of example, of a drain plug making. the object of the present invention is re-represented in the accompanying drawing in which: FIG. 1 is an axial vertical section through the bung;
Fig. 2 shows, in perspective, the valve with its: guide tabs, and FIG. 3 is an end view, from the outside, of the annular seat of the valve.
The bung comprises a fixed part in one or more parts offering a cylindrical tube 1 for guiding the valve Pet a .latéral base 2 intended to receive the ball joint attack rod. An annular part 3 is screwed into the guide tube forming the valve seat internally. A seal 4 is interposed between the seat of the valve, and the fixed part of the plug.
The valve 5 (see also fig. 2) present at sa. periphery a series of tabs 6, 6 ', 6 "adapting externally to the inside of the cylindrical surface 1 of the fixed part of the plug. These tabs serve as a guide for the valve 5.
The tab 6 has, at its end, a notch in the shape of a keyhole, that is to say comprising a circular bottom 7 and a straight part 8, the sides of which have a spacing less than the diameter of the bottom. circle 7 from the notch.
The lug 6, with a view to raising the valve, is attacked by means of a rod 9 with ball joint 11, the ball bearing, by means of a washer 10 of leather or any other another material forming a seal, on a seat formed in the base 2.
At its internal end, the rod 9 has a diameter which corresponds substantially to that of the bottom 7 of the notch of the tab 6. This end has a diametral slot 12.
It is clear that, if we present the end of the rod opposite the notch of the tab so that the slot 12 is parallel to the sides of the straight part 8 of the notch, and if the 'we exert a forcing action, the end of the rod 9, narrowed thanks to the bringing together of the two parts located on either side of the slot 12, will pass into the narrow region of the notch and, once arrived in the circular part 7,
will expand again. To separate the rod and the leg, it would be necessary to force the passage again, so that this separation can only be done by a voluntary action.
This device makes it possible to completely remove the valve from the bung, and to clean the inside without any difficulty. In addition, the valve cannot be easily removed by children, since this removal requires some effort.
The untimely total removal of the valve leads, in fact, to the risk of losing this valve or of breaking the sink, bidet, etc., if the valve is allowed to fall into the sanitary appliance.
In order to ensure the seal formed by the bearing of the ball joint 11 on the washer 10, a cap 13 is provided which is screwed onto the base 2 and the bottom of which allows the rod 9 to pass freely.
This bottom gives support to a compression spring 14 acting on a cup 15 threaded on the rod 9 and covering the ball 11. This arrangement, by pressing the ball 11 on the washer 10, ensures perfect sealing of the device.
The annular seat of the valve 3 has, inside (Fig. 3), diametrically opposed notches such as 16, 16 'and 17, 17'. These notches allow the convenient insertion of a tool, thanks to which one carries out the tightening of the seat of the valve 3 in the fixed part of the bung. Of course, it is not necessary for these notches to be four in number and diametrically opposed.
