Device for regulating the slack of a running belt. In the manufacture of certain types of paper, or in the case of continuous rolling lines for sheet metal, strips and the like, it is often desirable to regulate the slack of the running strip. to be kept constant.
By means of such a sag regulation, the tension can then also be precisely regulated in a very simple manner. Depending on the desired properties of the finished product, the sag must have a certain value, so that devices for regulating the sag of running belts must also be designed so that a change in the sag target value for the purpose of adaptation to the material can easily be made can.
The present invention relates to such a device for regulating the sag and is characterized in that a feeler roller rests on the running belt, which is mechanically coupled to the rotor of an induction regulator in such a way that if the sag deviates from the setpoint the induction regulator rotor is rotated and a voltage change occurs in the induction regulator, which controls a motor acting on the sag in such a way that
that the feeler roller comes back into its starting position corresponding to the setpoint of the sag.
With reference to the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the invention are tert erläu, namely FIGS. 1 and 2 each show, in a schematic manner, a device for regulating the slack of a running belt, for example in the manufacture of paper.
In Fig. 1, 1 means a feeler roller, which rests on the continuously running belt 2, the slack of which is to be regulated. This feeler roller 1 is mechanically coupled to the rotor 4 of an induction regulator 5 via a lever system 8 in such a way that when the sag changes, the rotor 4 is rotated by a certain angle. The stator 6 of the induction regulator is connected to an alternating current network 7.
With 8 eats a direct current motor, which acts on the slack of the belt 2 and whose field winding 9 is connected to the voltage of the induction regulator 5 via a full-wave rectifier 10.
The mode of operation of this device is as follows: As long as the sag of the belt 2 remains constant, the feeler roller 1 does not experience any change in its position. However, as soon as a change in the slack occurs, the feeler roller is shifted from the zero position according to the deviation from the slack setpoint, either up or down, depending on whether the slack increases or decreases.
This change in position of the feeler roller causes the rotor 4 to rotate and results in a corresponding change in voltage in the induction controller 5 @.
This voltage change is now transmitted via the rectifier 10 to the field winding 9 of the motor 8, whereupon the speed of this motor experiences a corresponding change and in the desired sense by acting on the belt 2 returns the slack to the target value.
The voltage change of the induction regulator can of course also easily be used to regulate the motor voltage instead of the motor excitation, without changing anything in the nature of the device according to the invention.
If a different zero position for the feeler roller 1 respectively is now used in the described device. If a different setpoint value for the sag of the belt 2 is desired, the new setting is achieved by rotating the stator 6 of the induction controller 4 accordingly.
This stator rotation must always be chosen so that the point of intersection of the voltage change of the induction regulator 5 with the speed of the motor 8 takes place in the position of the desired sag.
In order to simplify the setting of the feeler roller zero position, the adjustment device for the stator 6 can be calibrated for various sag values and provided with a corresponding sag scale.
In Fig. 2, a further possible embodiment for the slack regulation is illustrated according to the invention.
Here, 1 again means a feeler roller that rests on a running belt 2, the slack of which must be regulated. This feeler roller is also mechanically coupled to the rotor 4 of an induction regulator 5 via a lever system 3. The stator 6 of the induction regulator is fed by the line-to-line voltage] # - of its alternating current network, while the rotor 4 supplies the voltage for one winding 11 of an alternating current regulator 12.
The other winding 13 of the regulator 12 is at a phase voltage, z. B. T-0, of the AC network connected.
At rest, i.e. H. when the slope of the band 2 corresponds to the setpoint value, the rotor 4 of the induction controller 5 is in the so-called zero position, .d. H. he gives off no tension. If there is now a change in the sag, the action of the feeler roller 1 rotates the rotor 4 by a certain angle, and a corresponding voltage is created at the terminals of the regulator winding 11.
This voltage is shifted by 90 compared to the voltage in the regulator winding 13, where there is a torque in the regulator system and the rolling sector of the regulator is moved. By moving the controller 12 can. then in a manner analogous to that of the device according to FIG. 1, the voltage or the field of a direct current motor, not shown, which acts on the slack of the belt, can be regulated,
so that the feeler roller 1 and the rotor 4 return to their original position in accordance with the sag target value.
To .die zero setting of the feeler roller, d. H. To change the sag of the belt, an additional voltage of the same phase as the voltage of the induction regulator is introduced via an adjustable resistor 14 in the rotor circuit of the induction regulator 5, whereby the rotor has to turn until this additional voltage is compensated by the rotor voltage of the induction regulator. In this way, the rest position of the rotor 4 is pushed ver by a certain angle, and thus the feeler roller 1 has a new zero position.
By adjusting the resistor 14, the sag of the belt 2 can be adjusted as desired. The resistor 14 is fed via a transformer 15. Instead of this transformer, a resistor can also be provided.
If it is desired to reduce the regulating speed of the device, a further resistor 16 can be connected in series in the rotor circuit of the induction regulator, so that an adaptation to the respective conditions is possible.
