Free-floating turbine, especially for hot gases. The invention relates to a free-floating turbine with a downstream diffuser, in particular for hot gases, and is that an externally acted turbine wheel is arranged with approximately flat blades that are positioned obliquely to the turbine axis, the outer parts of which at the inlet are arranged approximately in radial direction and that the boundary of the blades in the axial direction in the wheel body is of such a shape,
that the gases are deflected in the axial direction with the lowest possible losses and from there pass with negative pressure into the diffuser, in which the speed of the same is delayed and their pressure increases. The turbine inlet housing can take the turbine impeller in a spiral shape and be designed with decreasing passage cross-sections that the same inlet gas velocity is maintained up to all inlet nozzles. In the case of several mutually separate inflow lines for the gases to the inlet nozzles, the same can encompass these helically wound into one another.
With separate inflow lines, the gas inlet housing can also be made in one piece with the diffuser part. The blades of the impeller can be produced with such an outlet direction that an approximately axially directed gas flow occurs in the inside of the diffuser and a partially tangential flow and thus a rotary movement of the gases occurs on the outer circumference of the same.
in order to prevent their detachment at the outer circumference of the diffuser and to achieve a good speed conversion into pressure even in a comparatively short and comparatively strongly expanding diffuser.
The impeller blade profiles can be worked out from the wheel body itself and their blades can be made out with roots thickened against the turbo disk.
Inside the diffuser connected to the impeller, a conically tapering guide piece can be installed in the direction of the turbine axis in order to convert the speed into pressure with less loss.
The widening diffuser can connect directly to the impeller outlet in the direction of the turbine axis, or the exhaust gases can flow over into a diffuser with any other direction by means of a deflection device. The cooling of the turbine wheel inside and also of the filler piece in the diffuser adjoining there can take place by supplying coolant, in particular from the end of the drive shaft opposite the turbine wheel.
The uncooled turbine housing can only be closed on the drive side of the turbine with an end piece provided with a cooling device. To center the hot, expanding turbine housing on the cooled, little expanding end piece, at least two pairs of wedges arranged diametrically to one another, the axes of which intersect in the turbine axis, can be arranged between these two parts to ensure precise centering .
The back of the turbine disk can bezw air access to cool the turbine wheel with cooling. a cooling fan assembly and a cover disk, with cooling air also being pressed through bores through the rotor blades or through openings in the wheel disk onto the turbine blade surfaces, in particular near the entry point of the gases and the saw blade roots.
The cooling air can be taken from outside or from elsewhere, for example from any point on the pressure side of the driven fan. In the latter case, there is no need to attach a cooling fan blade to the rear of the turbine wheel. So that: but there is also stronger cooling there, the attachment of cooling fins is also recommended.
In order to obtain as full a pressure compensation as possible in the axial direction of the rotating turbine parts during operation, sealing devices are expediently arranged on the back of the turbine wheel at a point that is narrower than the outside diameter of the turbine wheel. In order to prevent the passage of exhaust gases against the driven side, a line connected to the atmosphere or to the exhaust pipe can be provided after the sealing point.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in some exemplary embodiments in the accompanying drawings.
The same parts are denoted by the same numbers.
The Fig.l to 3 represent a turbine according to the subject invention with four separate gas supply lines Jar. It is a single-stage gas turbine that drives a fan wheel.
In Fig.1, which is a section corresponding to the line I-1 of Fig. 2 is. 1 the free-flying turbine wheel, which is supported by means of the shaft 2 in the sleeve 3. 4 is the turbine inlet housing, 5 is the nozzle ring containing the inlet blades 6, and 7 is a sealing piece provided with a cooling space 8 between the gas inlet housing 4 and the fan collecting housing 9. The impeller consists of an actual wheel body 1, from which the blades 17, for example are worked out.
These blades 17, one of which is shown in the center of the wheel in view, have the peculiarity that their outer parts at the inlet 19 are approximately in radial direction and the approximately flat blade surfaces are oblique to the turbine axis. At the Wur tent 18 of the blades 17, where the latter are connected to the wheel disc 1, the show blades 17 are thickened for reasons of strength.
In the axial direction towards the wheel exit 20, the turbine wheel 1 is hollowed out between the blades 17 in such a way that there are relatively weakly curved boundaries 21. The direction and the cross-sections of the impeller blades are designed so that the gases at the outlet edges 20 with negative pressure and relatively high speed exit and enter the straight, conical diffuser 22. The formation of the diffuser 22 is made so
that at the end 23 of the same, the gases have compressed to approaching the external pressure. So that the speed conversion in the diffuser 22 is effective, a conically tapering built-in component 24 is installed in its interior following the turbine wheel hub. This prevents a loss-making, sudden deflagration of the exit speed from the impeller on the inside of the impeller.
Instead of the diffuser 22 being arranged axially with the turbine, the same can also be arranged in a different direction, e.g. B. as 22 'shows, be arranged. In this case, the gases emerging from the impeller blades 17 are initially fed to the diffuser 2'2 'through a manifold 25, which can also have a built-in 26' that prevents a velocity deflagration.
So that the hot, expanding gas inlet housing 4 always remains in the center with respect to the cooled closing housing 7, the turbine wheel 1 and also the fan housing 9, both housings 4 and 7 are, for example, by means of four wedges 27 that go through the axis of the turbine with their axes held against each other.
To cool the turbine disk, cooling air can be fed to the rear of the same. In a training according to F'ig. 1 blades 28 are provided for this purpose on the back of the turbine wheel 1, through which cooling air is sucked in from the space 29. This cooling air can be taken from the atmosphere or, for example, from the fan collecting housing 9 through the line 30 @. The cooling fan blades 28 are covered with a cover disk 31.
The thus ge promoted air passes through in the disk 1 at least outside appropriately arranged and oriented openings 32 in the direction of the surfaces of the blades 17 respectively. their outer ends 19 and roots 18 and therefore also lower their temperature.
In order to prevent gases from escaping on the back of the turbine wheel, sealing points 33 are arranged. Desglei chen can also be those of a smaller diameter 34, both for example on the cover plate 31 connected to the turbine wheel. The space 35 between the sen sealing points 33 and 34 can be in communication with the atmosphere or through a line 36 with the outlet line 23 of the gas turbine.
Fig. 2 is a section through the line II-II of Fig.1.
In the center of this figure one sees the design of the impeller blades 17, which are approximately flat, but run obliquely to the turbine axis, and whose outer parts at the inlet are approximately in the radial direction. The inlet housing 4 of the door. The bine consists of one piece with the diffuser part 22.
The four inlet channels 10, 11, 12 and 13 are so tightly wound into one another that the outer diameter of the housing 4 is as small as possible. In the inlet spirals, the flow cross-sections of the supply lines 10, 11, 12 and 13 decrease so that the same speed prevails up to the entry into all narrowed nozzles 14 - and only a relatively weak deflection of the gases in the inlet direction takes place.
Between the spiral-shaped feed lines 10, 11, 12 and 13, four separating tongues 15 are arranged, between which only two slightly curved nozzle blades 6 are installed, which together'the correct inlet direction and speed of the gases on the impeller convey. As a result of the routing of the inlet channels 10, 11, 12,
13 resp. of the tongues 15 and the intermediate blades 6, the gas undergoes a deflection with consistently large radii of curvature. There will therefore only be small losses in front of the impeller. It can also be seen clearly in FIG. 2 how the supply lines 10, 11, 12 and 13 are strongly and closely twisted into one another up to their exit ends. 22 shows the cross section through the outer wall of the diffuser and 24 shows such a cross section through its inner wall.
3 is a section along the line 111-11I of FIG. 2. It can be seen how the four separate lines 10, 11, 12 and 13 lie with respect to one another.
FIG. 4 shows a view with a partial section through a gas turbine with only two inlet lines 10 and 11, according to the line IV-IV of FIG. 5. 10 is one gas inlet, 11 the other gas inlet. 17 are the impeller blades with their inlet edges 19 and the outlet edges 20. The outlet edges 20 are cut off at an angle to the turbine axis. It can be clearly seen here that the inner narrowest diameter of the diffuser 2'2 is smaller than the outer diameter of the outlet edge 20 of the turbine blades 17.
This is therefore carried out in such a way as to preserve the absolute gas exit velocity from the turbine wheel at the entry point of the diffuser 22 as possible in order to avoid deflagration losses there. This is done by making the inlet cross-section of the diffuser 22 at least so small that it corresponds to the outlet surface of the turbine blades minus the finite blade thicknesses.
In this embodiment, the blade cut-out edges 20 lie on a conical surface which has its axis in the turbine axis. This creates a smaller deflection on the outer exit surface of the turbine wheel. If the relative speed of the gases in the turbine blades 17 is greater than the absolute exit speed of these gases from the wheel at 20, see Fig. 8, a deflection behind and outside of the turbine wheel is less before the gases enter the diffuser lossy.
A smaller deflection of the gases in the impeller can also be achieved by giving the inlet nozzles 14 a direction that is inclined towards the turbine axis towards the diffuser, as indicated by the dash-dotted lateral nozzle walls 16 in FIG. In this case, the inlet parts of the rotor blades also hold a direction that is inclined towards the turbine axis towards the diffuser, like the nozzle walls 16.
In this embodiment, cooling blades 28, which suck in the cooling air from space 29, are also arranged on the rear of the turbine wheel 1. These cooling blades are also closed laterally and externally by a cover plate 31. In the individual blades 17, however, at least the outside bores 32 'are made through which the cooling air emerging from the cooling fan is pressed. This is in contrast to the embodiment according to FIG. 1. Through the line 29, the cooling fan sucks its air from the outside through the line 30 '. The conically tapered inner part 24 of the diffuser is made in one piece with the wheel body 1 here.
However, cooling air openings 32, 32 ′ and also 32 ″ (see FIG. 6) could also be provided in the wheel disk 1 at the same time.
In an embodiment according to FIG. 4, in contrast to an embodiment according to FIG. 1, there are no gap losses at the axial gas outlet 20.
The center of the wheel hub and this diffuser part are hollowed out and are cooled by a coolant entering at 37 and exiting at 38.
In Fig. 5, which is a section along the line VV of Fig. 4 - seen from the left - one sees again the formation of the impeller blades 17 with their approximately in the radial direction inlet portions 19 and their exit edges deviating from the radia len direction 20. The two lines 10 and 11, which are tightly wound into one another, also narrow in a spiral shape here towards the two tongues 15 separating them. In between there are only five nozzle blades 6 arranged in the nozzle ring 5 for each line, which lead the gases onto the impeller.
Fig. 6 shows an axonometric view of the turbine wheel 1 with the impeller blades 17, their approximately in the radial direction lie lowing inlet parts 19 and the outlet ends 2.0 deviating from the radial direction. The approximately flat design of the impeller blades and also their thickness of the blades 17, particularly at the feet 18, which increases in particular towards the turbine disk, can be seen very clearly.
6 also shows the holes 32 drilled in the turbo disk 1 for the passage of cooling air, which have such a direction that the cooling air is guided onto the blade surfaces, particularly close to the blade leading edges and the blade roots. In Fig. 6 he knows that this is done there on both blade surfaces, the front and the back. Instead of openings 32, grooves 32 ″ on the outer edge of the turbine disk 1 can also be arranged for this purpose.
In Fig. 7 the inlet speed triangle of the turbine is shown at the blade inlet 19, where c, the absolute gas inlet speed, zcl the speed at the wheel circumference and w1 the radially directed relative gas inlet speed represents.
Fig. 8 shows the speed triangles at the paddle wheel outlet 20. ui is the circumferential speed at the outermost outlet diameter, w2 the relative gas speed there and c2 the corresponding from absolute gas speed. u2 "is the lower circumferential speed at the root of the blade; w2" is the relative gas speed at the same point and c2 "is the corresponding absolute gas speed.
The cross-sections between the blades 17, as shown in FIG. 8, are advantageously chosen so that the relative gas velocities w2 'and w2 "below themselves and the absolute velocities e2' and c," below themselves when the wheel is turned off are approximately the same size.
For the production of the required exit angles a2 and a, "the blade surfaces can initially be made as flat surfaces, corresponding to the exit angle a; 2" at the blade root 18 and then the outer exit ends in the intended other direction corresponding to the exit angle a, be bent, possibly in a warm state.
For this purpose, a slightly smaller blade angle a2 is to be selected on the outside than on the inside, corresponding to a, 2 '. It is also advantageous if the direction of the blade outlets is so. it is chosen that there is an axially directed absolute speed ex 'in the diffuser interior and a speed c2' on the outer diffuser circumference - causing the gas jet to rotate.
Both measures are therefore carried out in order to achieve the best possible and uniform conversion of speed into pressure and little removal in the diffuser 22 even in a more open and relatively short diffuser.
