Device for setting the rolling pressure and the rolling duration in rolling machines with tool rolls rotating in the same direction. The invention relates to a device for adjusting the rolling pressure and the rolling duration in rolling machines with in the same direction of rotation revolving tool rolls zen, for example thread rolling machines. In known machines of this type, the tool rolls are brought closer to one another during the work, and it has also long been known to interrupt this movement at a point in time
which corresponds to the completion of the workpiece.
The invention has the object to improve the accuracy of the operation of these Ma machines. This is achieved in that the working pressure and the period of time during which the working pressure comes into effect can be set independently of each other by a separate device.
The invention achieves the following advantages: 1. The working pressure and the duration of its action can be set independently of one another. This is not the case with the known machines; If the working pressure changes, its duration of action also changes, for example in that, in the case of an electrically controlled interruption, the time until the circuit closes, through which the processing is interrupted, changes.
making the precise setting of the machines cumbersome
2. The size of the set working pressure can be maintained for any length of time that can be set. In thread rolling machines, for example, this is important for the so-called re-rolling, through which the thread rolled into the material is smoothed and made precisely round.
If the working pressure rises or falls during this re-rolling, the thread becomes round, or to put it more precisely, the cross section of the cylinder on which the thread flank diameter is located will deviate from the circular shape by a certain amount. The subject of the invention is schematically illustrated in the drawing using an exemplary embodiment in a thread rolling machine. The work piece c is processed between the thread rollers ce and b of the thread rolling machine.
The thread roller b is mounted on a slide d, which is designed as a cylinder which can be displaced on a stationary piston e. A pump f for the hydraulic roll delivery conveys the pressure medium via a line t, a control valve lt and a line w through the stationary piston e into the cylinder, see above that the carriage d designed as a cylinder moves forward and the roller b approaches the roller a.
At the end of the operation, the plug of the control valve lt is turned counterclockwise by 90 by a return spring, and the pressure medium flows out of the cylinder through lines through lines while a spring i is compressed during the working stroke, k, v </ I> back into the collecting container. The line t and the return line v are connected to one another via an adjustable throttle valve g by a discharge line. The throttle valve g has a conical plug 1 influenced by a spring 7n.
The setting of the spring load of the stopper and thus the size of the working pressure is done by means of the screw n. The degree of spring tension is indicated by a pointer o on a scale. The pressure medium conveyed by the pump f is diverted into the return line v after the working pressure set by means of the throttle valve has been reached in the cylinder through the throttle valve g, which opens in accordance with the overpressure created, and flows back to the collecting container, so that a constant Working pressure is maintained.
The time during which the set working pressure should be effective in cylinder d is set by means of an electrical control device in whose circuit a timer s activated by the control current is switched on. In the closed position of an electrical contact p, the current circuit connected to a power source, not shown, is closed and an electromagnet q is actuated, through which the plug of the control cock h is switched so that the cylinder d acted upon by the pressure medium via the lines t and? r and the return spring r is tensioned.
The timer s is activated by the current flowing through it and runs for a precisely adjustable time corresponding to the duration during which the working pressure is to act, after which it interrupts the circuit. As a result, the solenoid q is switched off and the return spring r turns the stopcock 90 counter-clockwise so that the pressure medium via the lines iv,
k and v receives free return flow and the spring i relaxes and returns the slide d with the roller b to the starting position.
The pressure medium conveyed further by the pump f flows from the conduit t through the control valve and the conduits k and v back to the collecting container. From the point in time when the working pressure set in the cylinder by means of the throttle valve g is reached, until the point in time when the pressure is interrupted by the time switch s, the pressure in the working cylinder b remains constant.
