Umformungsanordnung.

Fig.1 zeigt beispielsweise eine @reli- stromumformungsanordnung.

unter der Annahme vollkommener Glättung des Gleichstromes praktisch den vollen Gleichstromwert erreicht hat. Von die sem Zeitpunkt ab ändert sich der Strom J1 nicht merklich, bis im Zeitpunkt t4 die Folge phase zugeschaltet wird. Hierauf nimmt der Strom J, wieder ab, erreicht im Zeitpunkt t;
EMI0004.0016

das heisst dass die .Induktion des Magnetkernes 14 oberhalb einer bestimmten Feldstärke ohne Steigerung der letzteren von selbst weiter zunimmt. Die Verwendung eines Magnetmetalles mit spon taner Magnetisierung kann auch neben den oder statt der übrigen, obenerwähnten Mäss- nahmen zur Beschleunigung der Ummagne- tisierung und damit zur Erhöhung der Strom belastbarkeit beitragen bezw. dienen;
I>:</I> Bs <B><I><U>-'-</U></I></B> 1,1 aufweist.

Forming arrangement. A conversion arrangement for exchanging energy between a direct current system and a three-phase system ge given frequency is known, the chained phase lines branch on each two synchronously controlled, push-pull working and connected to different poles of the direct current system contact devices and in the common line part each a downstream flattening saturation choke outside of branching. Corresponding arrangements can also be used for alternating current systems with a larger number of phases m.
Thus smoothed direct current respectively. As sinusoidal alternating current as possible can be achieved, the Kontaktein directions are built respectively. set so that the closing times of the phases that replace each other overlap. It is not sufficient to transform a previously defined service; to dimension the individual parts of the arrangement for the nominal current and for the nominal voltage with the necessary safety margins.
Since the time is limited from the beginning of the commutation of a phase until the same phase is closed again in the opposite direction, it can happen that the desired performance cannot be achieved despite sufficient dimensioning of the individual parts because the voltage at Exceeding a value below the desired maximum current begins to fall steeply.
To avoid this inconvenience, according to the invention, the scatter ratio a of the commutation circuits, the control angle a and the dimensions and properties of the saturation reactors are to be coordinated with one another so that
EMI0001.0015
With reference to FIGS. 1 to 9 Ausfüh approximately examples of the invention will be explained in more detail.
FIG. 1 shows, for example, a reli-current conversion arrangement. The secondary winding of a transformer or the armature winding of a special three-phase generator is designated by 12. The phase lines emanating from the winding 12 branch to two of the Kontaktein directions 1 to 6, which are alternately closed and opened in the order of their numbering by means of a schematically indicated eccentric shaft 15.
The con tact devices 1, 3 and 5 are connected to one pole of a direct current network 20, the contact devices 2, 4 and 6 to the other pole. Chokes 13 are arranged in the phase lines outside the junction, the magnetic core 14 of which is highly saturated at the nominal current value and only desaturates in the vicinity of the current zero value, whereby a flattening of the current curve in the form of a current interruption facilitating,
low-current pause -is caused. The magnetic core 14 consists of a magnetically high-quality egg whose magnetization curve should be inclined as little as possible to the flux axis in the unsaturated area, have sharp kinks on the merge lines in the saturated areas and should run as parallel to the exciter axis as possible in the saturated areas .
The eccentric shaft 15 can be driven by a synchronous motor 16, for example. If a special generator is provided for feeding the deformation arrangement, the eccentric shaft 15 can be coupled to the General: orwellei. For the purpose of setting the contact time points, the angular position of the eccentrics can be adjusted with respect to the phase position of the alternating voltage, e.g. B. by changing the angular position of the Drehfel of the drive motor 16.
This can be brought about by rotating the motor stand or by means of a rotary transformer 17. The drive voltage is taken, for example, from a winding 18, which is designed as a secondary winding of a special auxiliary transformer or can be accommodated as an additional winding on your main transformer. A smoothing choke 19 is provided in order to achieve "a direct current that is as free from harmonic waves as possible.
A base load 21 can serve to facilitate the starting process and to ensure a minimum load value.
In parallel to the contact devices, secondary current paths are arranged, which are embodied in the drawing by capacitors 22 and ohmic resistors 23. They are designed to delay the rise in voltage returning. The parallel paths can be periodically interrupted by auxiliary contact devices 7, 8, 9. The auxiliary contacts can be driven by an eccentric shaft 38 which can be coupled to the main shaft 15 via a coupling gear 39.
The parallel paths also contain, to facilitate the Einseha.ltvorgan:, @ es Wichbingen 24, which are attached to a 31a.gnethern 25.
The magnetic core 25 is linked to the throttle winding 13 and has the same magnetic properties as the main core 14, possibly to an even greater extent. The number of turns of the winding 24 is essentially the same as the number of turns of the winding 13, its direction of winding is opposite.
A special pre-magnetization winding 26 can be attached to the core 14 to keep its magnetic behavior constant, which can be fed, for example, with three-phase current from a tappable weighing clamp 28 via a rotary transformer 27.
The secondary winding 28 can in turn be the secondary winding of an auxiliary transformer or an additional winding on the main transformer. Furthermore, the core 1.4 can also be provided with a further control winding 29, through which an additional, for example non-sinusoidal voltage can be fed to it.
To generate this voltage, auxiliary chokes 30 can be used, which are mounted on an ai.s the same or similar material as the cores 14 and 25 existing auxiliary core <31, which by means of a further winding 32 from a tappable auxiliary winding 34 via a rotary transformer 3 3 is excited. The auxiliary winding 31 can also be the secondary winding of an auxiliary transformer or an additional winding of the main transformer. The Regeleinrich lines of the rotary transformers 17, 27 and 33 can, as indicated, be coupled to each other ge, as well as the control devices of the tappable Wick lungs 28 and 34 can be coupled.
The inductor windings 13 can be bridged by parallel paths with ohmic resistors 35, capacitors 36 and, above all, inductivities 37.
FIG. 2 shows the voltage curves U1, U3, U, and FIG. 3 shows the current curves J, to J, of the deformation arrangement and, underneath, in the form of partially filled and empty strips 1 to 9, the closing or respectively. Opening times of the contact devices designated by the same numbers in FIG. 1 as a function of the time t respectively. from the angle a) t,
if co = 2 a f is the circular frequency of the alternating voltage. The intersection points of the voltage curves U ', U', U, are around
EMI0003.0024
electrically apart. Accordingly, the switch-on times (e.g. t1 and t4) of the different phases must be offset by the same angle relative to one another. In addition, each phase must be switched on twice during an alternating voltage wave, once on the + pole and once on the -pole of the direct current network 20.
For this purpose, the associated two contact devices work in push-pull mode, that is to say offset from one another at an angle of 180. There is therefore an angle of between the point in time when the phase that has been replaced and the point in time at which the phase that has just been removed must be connected again in the opposite direction
EMI0003.0031
available (e.g.
U '. t4 to t, respectively. t1 to t3). In the time that corresponds to this angle, two processes must take place, namely the actual commutation of the current and the remagnetization of the throttle 13. This results from the current curve according to FIG. 3.
The course of the curves of the currents J :, and J4, which are solid, for example, of a phase is approximately trapezoidal. The increase in the current J begins at the time point t, where the contact device 1 is closed, and lasts until the time point tZ, where the dashed curve of the current J, the preceding phase, the desaturation value, which is close to the zero value Switching choke of the previous phase and the current curve J,
assuming perfect smoothing of the direct current has practically reached the full direct current value. From this point in time, the current J1 does not change noticeably until the following phase is switched on at point in time t4. The current J i then decreases again, reached at time t;
, the desaturation value of the switching throttle through which it flows and remains close to zero during the low-current pause that follows, so that during this time the contact device 1 can be opened without damaging switching fire.
At the point in time t ", when the low-current break ends and the switching throttle has to be saturated in the opposite sense, the contact device 4 is closed and the current J4 then takes the opposite course as before the current J1. The current curves J #" J3, J "J, have the same shape, but run 120 ahead or behind.
Decisive for the sequence of the above-mentioned two processes, e.g. B. during the time t1 to t3, is the voltage that is effective in the commutation crisis formed by the replacing phase and the taking phase.
The course of this voltage UI; is shown in FIG. 4 for the commutation circuit which is formed by the two contact devices 5 and 1 which are just left in accordance with FIG. At the intersection to of the two phase voltage curves U and U, the curve of the commutation voltage Uh begins to rise from the value zero.
It is equal to the linked voltage of the two phases. So its maximum value is:
EMI0004.0016
if LT "is the nominal value of the Pliasenspa.nn im-.
The commutation priority under consideration is initiated by closing the contact arrangement 1 at the point in time f, by an angle a after the point in time when the voltages are equal (t "). For the actual continuation, let a voltage integral corresponding to the area K (Fig 4) to be expended.
This also contains a portion by which the choke core 14 of the current-emitting phase 5 changes from the induction B, 1 at the current value 7 to the moment of deseeding, i.e. at the saturation kink, the induction Bs present and the choke core of the accepting Phase 1 of 13 ,; on ss., is brought.
Since now the throttle of the current-emitting phase 5 also with the contact device \? is in series, its core 14 must be remagnetized up to the opposite saturation kink, before the contact is instantly t3 #: teinriehtung \? is closed. The induction of this double nucleus must therefore change by the amount 21s. For this purpose, a voltage integral corresponding to the area 31 is required.
The entire voltage integral to be used corresponding to the areas K -E- M must be in the time from t "to t, corresponding to an angle of
EMI0004.0053
be run through, so it may at most the value
EMI0004.0055
to have.
If it were larger, this would mean that the re-magnetization of the choke when the contact device 5 is closed has not yet ended, since the choke is still in the unsaturated state. Then the actual coordination process cannot start immediately after the contact has been made, but only later, after the choke has saturated up to the bend in the magnetization curve, that is to say at.
a larger angle a than was originally an-, enonine. The angle a is now decisive for the voltage on the C DC side. In Fig. 5, the course of the DC voltage [r, plotted as a function of a for idling.
Fr follows a cosine line, and its values are reduced under load by the voltage drop across the impedances in the circuit and by a further amount that results from the fact that the full voltage on the direct current side is not correspondingly during the communication time The solid lines in FIG. 2, but the dot-dashed mean value of the voltages of the releasing and the accepting phase occurs.
From Fig. 5 it can be seen that if the saturation of the inductor cores 14 is not ended in time, the DC voltage is additionally lowered. Since this is avoided, the current must not be greater than
EMI0004.0082
Here, L is the inductance of the entire commutation circuit comprising two phases, including the air inductance of the two associated chokes 13.
Ux.axaodts represents the area M, from which, according to FIG. 6, the definition of dtg as the duration of the remagnetization of the choke 13 from + Bs to -Bs, based on s the maximum value of the commutation voltage, results.
The dimensions of the choke, i.e. the number of turns w of the winding 13, the cross-section q of the magnetic core 14 and its saturation induction Bs, are decisive for this reversal of magnetization time, which can also be referred to as a relatively low-current break equation

The factor

takes into account the additional effort for the above-mentioned change in the magnetization state of the two chokes involved during the actual gommutation process, z. B.
from t1 to t. respectively from t4 to t, .. In order for the nine current Jgn or a larger current to be achieved on the direct current side without the aforementioned additional voltage drop occurring, the condition
EMI0005.0028
be fulfilled.
EMI0005.0030
On the right-hand side of this equation, the variable Jgn can be replaced by an expression containing the effective value J "of the alternating current, by replacing the trapezoidal alternating current curve according to FIG. 3 with a rectangular curve with the height Jg" and the width
EMI0005.0039
of a phase segment is replaced, the rms values of these are equated to each other in the first approximation:
Jn, '% <lgn eff.
EMI0005.0046
The scatter ratio E is also introduced here, i.e. the scatter voltage
EMI0005.0048
based on the nominal voltage Un, which is usually given as a percentage of the former of the latter.
EMI0006.0001
the formula mentioned at the beginning results.
To meet the inventive condition, it is advisable to make the scatter ratio E small, i.e. smaller than is usual with other L mformimgsanordnung, especially those with mercury vapor discharge vessels, with regard to the short-circuit current.
For this purpose, the transformer or generator connected to the three-phase current side can be designed with exceptionally small leakage inductance. The air inductivity of the saturation chokes is to be reduced as much as possible, for example by connecting several ZViclz-lungszwecken in parallel and using toroidal cores, connecting lines and switching devices must be designed with the lowest possible leakage inductance.
The total scatter ratio E should in particular be less than 8%. The short-circuit current does not need to be taken into account, because it is known that it is limited to a comparatively low permanent value by the desaturation of the chokes 13, so that it is even possible to cause a deliberately created short circuit on the alternating current side of the contact devices 1, 3 and 5 on the one hand and 2,
4 and 6, on the other hand, to protect these Kontaktein devices from damage against switching fires in any malfunctions occurring.
Another possibility for achieving the largest possible load current is that the conversion arrangement is not fully modulated, but operated with a modulation angle a> 0, as shown in FIGS. 9 to 4, for example. The control angle can ent iveder be set permanently if a Re gel in a larger area is not required, or it can be through a stop, z. B. on the control device 17, ge ensures that a certain smallest angle can not be undershot.
So that a certain level of the direct voltage U "can be achieved, the alternating voltage must be selected higher from the start according to FIG. 5. It is advisable to work with a smallest control angle of about 9 e1., Because the voltage integral over 0 to 9 "makes no noticeable contribution to the commutation, as FIG. 4 shows, and on the other hand, according to FIG. 5, the voltage drop at a = 9" is still insignificant.
The measure; Making dte small by using relatively small switching reactors also helps to increase the current-carrying capacity. At the same time, however, this shortens the duration of the low-current break.
The chokes must not be chosen too small, because otherwise the security of a perfect interruption could be impaired too much, with regard to the inevitable fluctuations in the contact times caused by mechanical inaccuracies and with regard to any disturbances respectively. From deviations from the normal symmetrical rule of the alternating voltage is required.
In addition, the more or less long duration of the low-current break at the given position of the switch-off time determines the lower load limit and thus the size of the load area. If, for example, the switch-off time with the highest current load is at the beginning of the low-current break, that is to say coincides with time t ", the end of the low-current break moves closer and closer to the switch-off time when the load is lower due to the shortening of the communication duration.
The smallest permissible current load is then given by the fact that for safety reasons a; Part of the low-current break even with the smallest current must still be behind the switch-off time. The described operating restriction can, however, be lifted by changing the switch-off time and thus the overlap time of the contacts continuously or in stages depending on the load.
When using large saturation chokes, the magnetization reversal at a high current load can be accelerated by an additional pre-magnetization of the choke core 14, thereby increasing the load limit. The premagnetization can be brought about with the aid of the winding 26 and must act in the same way as the current that flows through the main winding 18 during the following current transmission time segment.
The premagnetization, the use of which is also advantageous with low loads, so that the current in the main winding during the low-current pause still has the same direction as during the previous current transmission period to increase the switching reliability, can possibly be automatically increased at higher loads that the voltage drawn from the tapped transformer winding 28 is increased. The aforementioned pre-magnetization can also be used to
in order to compensate for the current flowing through the main winding 13 during the time the saturation choke is in effect, in addition to almost zero. To maintain this balance, it is necessary to change the phase position of the pre-magnetizing current in the same way when the control angle changes. The coupling of the rotary transformer 27 to the rotary transformer 17 is used for this purpose.
To accelerate the magnetization reversal, an auxiliary voltage can also be introduced, for example by means of the auxiliary winding 29. The auxiliary voltage can preferably have a curve shape that deviates from the sinusoidal shape, in particular an approximately rectangular shape. Such an auxiliary voltage is obtained from the winding 30 as a result of the above-mentioned saturation properties of the magnetic core 31.
It is advisable to let the external voltage only become effective each time after the contact has opened, i.e. in the time of t. until t3. An externally supplied auxiliary voltage can also be used to shorten the commutation time when there is a high current load. The external voltage must be introduced into the commutation circuit itself shortly after the contact has been closed.
A shortening of the low-current pause can ultimately also be brought about by making part of the magnet core cross-section of the saturation reactor ineffective at a high current load. For this purpose, the magnetic core according to FIG. 7 can consist of two parts 14 and 14 'be. The part 14 'carries a special winding 40, which can be short-circuited automatically by means of a switch 41 above a predetermined load limit.
If you make the conductivity of the parallel path 22, 23 large, this also accelerates the magnetic reversal of the throttle core 14, but there is then the risk that after the contact opening a current oscillation with considerable amplitude, z. B. according to the curve J, in Fig. 8, through which the overload capacity of the deformation arrangement is impaired with a given minimal load and unchangeable position of the switch-off time.
It must be avoided that the oscillation coincides with the switch-off time, since otherwise the current could have a relatively high value precisely at the moment of opening. The load should therefore only be increased to such an extent that there is sufficient time for the oscillation to decay before the start of the opening. The duration of the low-current break, which can be used to control a load area, is reduced by this period of time when large capacitors 22 are used. For this reason, it is advisable to choose capacitors 22 with a relatively small capacity for the parallel path.
The overshoot of the current according to curve J can be mitigated further thereby. be made harmless ge that the parallel path is also interrupted after the contact is opened. In the one shown in FIG. 1, between G and t. The parallel path to the contact device 5, which is to open soon, is closed via the auxiliary contact devices 7 and 8 and via the main contact device 1.
Shortly after the opening of the contact device 5 at time t =, the auxiliary contact device 7 is opened in order to interrupt the parallel path.
Before the contact device 2 is then closed at the moment t3, the auxiliary contact device 9 closes, so that a parallel path for the contact device 2 running through the auxiliary contact devices 8 and 9 and the main contact device G is present, which transfers the switch-on voltage to this contact low value.
The inrush current is limited to a very low value by the choke core 25, since this core must first be remagnetized before the current flows into the two chained with it 13 and 25, which are now due to the The reverse discharge current flowing in the same direction can act magnetizing the capacitor 22. In this way, a low-current break is produced by the choke core 25 when switching on. Since the core 25 has a significantly smaller cross-section than the core 14, this low-current break is very short, so that it is neglected in FIG.
From the end of this low-current pause, the start of the actual commutation process is to be calculated, so that it increases the control angle α by a small amount.
During the contact opening, the magnetic core 25 should always be in the saturated state so that it does not interfere with the passage of the current in the parallel path? <B> 2 </B>, 23. With the same number of turns of the windings 13 and 24, this can be done by selecting a suitable magnetic metal with a magnetization characteristic curve whose falling branch only shows the saturation kink below the zero value of the excitation,
or otherwise by "choosing a somewhat smaller number of turns for the winding 24, or finally in any case by pre-magnetizing the core 25 by means of an additional winding 42 (FIG. 7). The winding 42 is advantageously synchronous Alternating current from an auxiliary winding, similar to the windings 28 and 34, fed via a rotary transformer whose Re gel device can also be coupled to the device 17 Regelein.
The size and phase position of this premagnetization current can be set in such a way that it also establishes the desired Dlagnetization state of the magnetic core 25 during the switch-on process. The winding 24 can be dispensed with in this case.
The overshoot of the current according to curve J in FIG. 8 can furthermore be mitigated with the aid of the inductance 37 connected in parallel to the winding 18. By suitable coordination of this parallel path, the resulting current J, flowing through the parallel path 22, 23 can be. obtained the curve shape indicated by a solid line in FIG. For comparison, the current curve J, 1 is shown in dashed lines.
This current would flow through the throttle 14 if neither the parallel path 22, 23 nor the parallel path 35, <B> 36, </B> 37 were present. The zero line 0 in Fig. 8 applies with, the zero line 0 'without premagnetization through the winding 26, which can be regarded as constant in a first approximation because of the short duration of the period under consideration, when the premagnetization current passes through its maximum value during this time.
When using the parallel path 35, 36, 37, the parallel path 22, 23 can remain permanently closed, so that the auxiliary contact devices 7, 8, 9 are superfluous. At the same time, this has the advantage that, even after the main contact devices have been opened, a predominant part of the commutation voltage is applied to the unsaturated choke 13 and causes its magnetization to be reversed.
If, on the other hand, the parallel path 22, 23 is interrupted after the main contacts have been opened, the commutation voltage is predominantly applied to the opened auxiliary contact device, so that the remagnetization of the choke core 14 has a particularly strong premagnetization by means of the choke 26 or an additional one by means of the winding 29 introduced auxiliary voltage, as described, unless the choke core 14 has the property of spontaneous magnetization, which is known to have some magnet alloys,
This means that the induction of the magnetic core 14 increases by itself above a certain field strength without increasing the latter. The use of a magnetic metal with spontaneous magnetization can, in addition to or instead of the other measures mentioned above, contribute to accelerating the remagnetization and thus to increasing the current load capacity. serve;
because it makes it possible to get along with very small parallel capacitors 22 or even without any parallel path and thereby avoid the vibrations mentioned and the reduction in the useful duration of the low-current phase caused by them.
In the case of magnetic cores without the property mentioned last, the slope of the saturated parts of the magnetization characteristic is decisive for the ratio that is for the third term
EMI0009.0017
the he inventive formula is co-determining. Since the latter is not excessively enlarged by poor magnetic properties of the choke core 14, it is advantageous to choose a magnetic metal that has a ratio of BJ <I>: </I> Bs <B><I> <U> -'- < / U> </I> </B> has 1.1.
In connection with the magnetic core! 25 it has already been mentioned that a low-current pause following the contact closure increases the control angle a. Furthermore, it was described that the magnet core 14 can also produce such a low-current pause if its magnetization reversal is not ended in time. This order can be useful in the deformation assembly according to the invention for various secondary purposes.
First of all, the voltage on the direct current side can be arbitrarily regulated at least in a small range in the order of magnitude of about 10% and thus, for example, the voltage drop caused by the increase in load can be at least partially compounded. This can be achieved, among other things, by reducing the bias current in the winding 26 or the auxiliary voltage additionally introduced by means of the winding 29, whereby the increase in the DC voltage can be reduced when the load drops.
Furthermore, as mentioned, even if the maximum load value given by the formula according to the invention is exceeded, a voltage drop is caused as a result of the non-timely termination of the reversal of magnetization of the choke core 14, this process can be used to completely stop the load limit when the uppermost load limit is exceeded to bypass the deformation assembly.
For this purpose, it is necessary that the opening time at the beginning (t2) of the low-current pause at the maximum permissible load is automatically switched to a later time between t when this load is exceeded by means of a current-dependent control. and t, is relocated. In this case, too, the current interruption takes place during the current-monitoring break under easier conditions.
A further increase in the load current J ,. has the consequence of a sharp drop in the direct voltage U, so that, for example, the course of the load characteristic curve U shown in FIG. <I> = f </I> (J,) with a distinct kink at J "", results.
This means that a further reduction in the resistance in the consumer circuit or the direct current counter voltage above <B> J </B> ", a @ is associated with a significantly lower current increase than below Yes. Other undesirable consequences can be associated on the other hand, there are a number of possibilities that are known per se for monitoring the deformation arrangement described.
Of these, those turn out to be particularly advantageous in which the maximum load value or a predetermined security amount below the load value has appropriate monitoring devices in the main power lines of the contacts.
Their main advantage is that, in contrast to monitoring devices that are in the direct current lines, they not only respond to the set limit value for the load, but also to disturbances in the form of asymmetries in the alternating voltages of the various phases:
a.- sen or the like, which are not noticeable in an increase in the power on the DC side, but can result in an urizri- al increase in the short-circuit currents in the commutation circuits that develop during the overlap times of the contacts.
In Fig. 1.0, such an anchor is shown schematically, for example. Only one phase is drawn, multi-plied arrangements can be drawn from it without further; be developed through multiplication.
In an alternating current line <B> 1.10 </B> which branches at point 113 to the two lines 111 and 112, contact devices 114 are provided, the moving part of which is driven, for example, via cams or eccentrics by a synchronous motor, not shown, which can be connected to the @ Veelisel power network of the conversion arrangement or to a network that is synchronously coupled with it.
The contact devices 114 can be bridged by a parallel path to reduce the rate of rise of the returning voltage, which is embodied in the drawing, for example, by a capacitor 115 and an ohmic resistor 116.
Outside the branching point <B> 116 </B>, inductor coils 117 are arranged in the common line 110, the magnetic core of which <B> 118 </B> is highly saturated at the rated current value and, due to its desaturation near the current zero value, causes a low-current pause, which can facilitate the power interruption and, if necessary, also the power cut-off.
The magnetization characteristic of the magnetic core 118 should be inclined as little as possible due to the flux axis in the saturated area, have as sharp kinks as possible at the transition points into the saturated areas and run as parallel as possible to the errebera, chsc in the saturated areas.
A premagnetization winding 119 can be arranged on the core 118 for additional control of its magnetization course, which in the illustrated arrangement is preferably excited with alternating current. The two branch lines <B> 111 </B> and 112 are connected to different poles of a direct current system 120. The switching times of their contact devices are accordingly offset from one another by 180 electrically.
If the monitoring device in the main power line is connected in series with the saturation throttle 117 outside the branch line 113, this has the partial advantage that ordinary monitoring devices suitable for symmetrical alternating currents are terminated:
irines, which at the same time have the advantage. that they can receive and pass on a control pulse in each of the two half-waves of the alternating current, depending on the point in time at which the hasty stasis or overload occurs.
Such a monitoring device is, for example, a simple converter, the exciter of which is 121 in the main current line 110, and a coil 124 of a relay 125 is connected to the secondary winding 129 via a rectifier arrangement 1 \ 33.
The relay 125 is pre-excited by a coil 126 in order to achieve a short operating time of the monitoring device, so that the relay armature is normally attracted and the relay contacts 127 are open.
The coil 126 is via a damping throttle 128 and a controllable resistor 129, with which the response current can be set and, if necessary, automatically readjusted to an auxiliary equilibrium in accordance with the change in the maximum permissible load value that is dependent on the control angle when the degree of modulation of the conversion arrangement changes. Power network 130 connected, which may be with the direct current network 120 in context.
The monitoring currents emanating from the wall learners of the various phases can be led to the excitation coil 124 in series or in parallel after they have been rectified. A special excitation coil corresponding to coil 124 can also be provided for each phase, or a special relay whose contacts are connected in parallel to the contacts 127 shown in the drawing: Resistors can also be used on the direct current network 130 131 and 132, for example, the excitation coil, designed as a holding coil, of an electromagnetic protective device <B> 133 </B>.
The protective device can be designed in such a way that it bridges the contact devices 114 in the event of a fault, for example by short-circuiting the three phases of a three-phase current arrangement. During the normal operating condition, the armature of the protective device 133 is raised; so that the bridging contacts are open. As soon as the current in the anode line 110 exceeds a predetermined value, the demagnetizing force of the coil 124 prevails, so that the armature of the relay 125 drops out, the relay contacts 127 close and thereby the holding coil of the protective device 133 including the thus bridged resistor 131 lying in series, so that the protective device is effective.
Through the contacts 127 or through additional auxiliary contacts of the relay 125, high-speed switches on the alternating current side and, if necessary, also on the direct current side of the converter can be used. triggered so that the entire arrangement is de-energized in the event of a fault. Furthermore, facilities can be provided through which the arrangement is automatically restarted after the cause of the fault has disappeared.
Instead of an electromagnetic relay 125, a controlled discharge vessel can also be used. This can be controlled under certain circumstances instead of or by a current transformer through an ignition throttle arranged in the branch lines 111, 112, whose properties like the above-mentioned magnetic core 1181 and is premagnetized by means of alternating current so that ex occurs when on of a reverse current and here causes a voltage surge in a winding that can be used to ignite the discharge tube.
