Description
Procédé pour la réparation, après rupture, d'une conduite d'eau ou d'un autre fluide, et dispositif pour sa mise en #uvre. L'invention comprend un procédé pour la réparation, après rupture, d'une conduite d'eau ou d'un autre fluide, et un dispositif pour sa mise en oeuvre.
Le dessin ci-joint montre, à titre d'exem ple, une forme d'exécution de ce dispositif dont les organes sont représentés dans la po sition qu'ils occupent après la réparation d'une conduite en fonte.
La fig. 1 en est une coupe longitudinale, et la fig. 2 une vue en bout.
Une portion de conduite a est représentée rompue en b, fig. 1.
Pour la réparation, on enroule autour de la conduite, dans la région de cette partie b, une garniture c faisant joint, en corde imbi bée de matière grasse, par exemple; les gar nitures "Triplex" que l'on trouve dans le commerce donneront de très bons résultats mais on pourrait employer d'autres matières telles que le caoutchouc ou le liège.
Cette garniture c, étant mise en place, est serrée entre les deux parties d'un manchon presse-étoupe dont chaque partie est divisée en deux pièces accolées, respectivement d, e et<I>f,</I> g entourant chacune la moitié de la cir conférence de la conduite et réunies, les pre mières par des boulons<I>h, i,</I> les secondes de façon semblable, par des boulons dont l'un seulement est représenté en k, fig. 1.
Une extrémité. de la partie d, e pénètre dans un logement ménagé dans la partie f, g où se trouve la garniture c et le serrage des écrous de boulons<I>m, n, o, p</I> a pour effet de comprimer cette garniture. .L'étanchéité né cessaire est ainsi assurée; il est inutile de placer des joints entre les surfaces de contact des pièces<I>d</I> et e, d'une part,<I>f</I> et g, d'autre part.
Le montage et le démontage du dispo sitif ne nécessitent que le serrage ou le des serrage des écrous de fixation.
Le procédé décrit s'applique plus spécia lement à la réparation de conduites de 40 à 300 mm de diamètre, le dispositif décrit pouvant être construit en diverses dimen sions.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of this device, the members of which are shown in the position they occupy after the repair of a cast iron pipe.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section thereof, and FIG. 2 an end view.
A portion of pipe a is shown broken at b, FIG. 1.
For the repair, is wound around the pipe, in the region of this part b, a gasket c forming a joint, in rope soaked in fat, for example; commercially available "Triplex" linings will give very good results, but other materials such as rubber or cork could be used.
This packing c, being put in place, is clamped between the two parts of a gland sleeve, each part of which is divided into two contiguous parts, respectively d, e and <I> f, </I> g each surrounding the half of the driving circle and joined, the first by bolts <I> h, i, </I> the seconds in a similar way, by bolts of which only one is shown in k, fig. 1.
An extremity. of part d, e enters a housing made in part f, g where the gasket c is located and tightening the nuts of bolts <I> m, n, o, p </I> has the effect of compressing this garnish. The necessary tightness is thus ensured; there is no need to place joints between the contact surfaces of parts <I> d </I> and e, on the one hand, <I> f </I> and g, on the other hand.
The assembly and disassembly of the device only require tightening or loosening of the fixing nuts.
The method described applies more specifically to the repair of pipes 40 to 300 mm in diameter, the device described being able to be constructed in various dimensions.
