Kleinkühlappar at.
Fig. 5 ist ein Detail.
Kleinkühlappar at. The usual refrigerators have a room in which the vessels are introduced, the contents of which are never intended to be kept at that temperature. The means for generating cold and this space usually form a whole in the form of a relatively heavy and space-blocking cabinet; the device is thus expensive and has the disadvantage that it is practically tied to the originally intended installation site.
The present invention aims to avoid the disadvantages mentioned. The subject of the invention is a small cooling device, which is characterized in that a cold-generating fluid is circulated according to a refrigeration cycle, that it is designed as a portable unit and that it has at least one cooling element designed as an immersion body that can be connected to the device body, which can be arranged in relation to the apparatus body in such a way that it can be immersed in the medium to be cooled located in the vicinity of the apparatus body,
In the accompanying drawings, two exemplary embodiments of the subject invention He are shown.
Fig. 1 shows the first embodiment in elevation, the apparatus body being shown in section.
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of an attachment of this first Ausfüh approximately form.
Fig. 3 is a section through a second attachment of this embodiment.
Fig. 4 is a section through a diving body, which form belongs to the second embodiment.
Fig. 5 is a detail.
Fig. 6 shows the second embodiment, partially in section.
The cooling apparatus according to FIG. 1 is of the type in which a cold-producing fluid, such as ammonia or sulfur dioxide, is circulated in a refrigeration cycle, the apparatus working on the compression principle. The Ap parat has a perforated metal sleeve 1, within which a preferably tight vessel 2 is attached in a manner not shown in the drawing, which includes a compressor of known type and an electric motor driving the same. The compressor is preferably of the rotary piston type and attached directly to the motor shaft.
The water motor is preferably provided for the supply from the network or then by a car mobilakkumulator, depending on the intended use of the device.
The compressed and hot. ,, cold-generating fluid leaves the compressor at 3 and passes through the coil 4, which is arranged in the space between the vessel 2 and shell 1. Thanks to the large surface area of the snake 4 and the perforations in the shell 1, the fluid cools down before it reaches an expansion vessel 5, where its pressure goes down at the same time as its temperature. The so ent stressed fluid enters a line 6 which opens into a chamber 7, where it evaporates if it is a fluid such as sulfur dioxide. The walls of the chamber 7 are immersed in an auxiliary cooling fluid located in a loading container 8.
This auxiliary cooling fluid can, for example, be brine or a mixture of water and glycerine or alcohol.
The cold-generating fluid returns through the line 6 'back to the compressor and the circuit of the fluid is closed after vaporization in the chamber 7.
It is easy to see that the cold-producing fluid goes through a refrigeration cycle, during which it takes up work from the compressor, gives off heat to the environment, condenses while passing through the coil 4 and withdraws heat from the auxiliary fluid in the container 8 when it is located in the chamber 7, wel che thus secures the heat absorption phase of the cycle.
The auxiliary cooling fluid runs under practically constant pressure through a circuit that is independent of the cold-generating fluid. This consists of: an auxiliary pump 9 which is intended to allow the fluid to circulate, a line 10 which connects the outlet from the auxiliary pump 9 to a connection device 11 provided with a tap 12. A short line 13, which opens into the container B and which is used to return the auxiliary fluid to this container, is also connected to the connection device 11.
Two flexible lines 14, 15 are connected to this connection device in an easily removable manner, which serve to feed the fluid in question to a cooling element designed as an immersion body, the latter being arranged in relation to the apparatus body in such a way that it is in which is located in the vicinity of this body, to be cooled medium 17 can be immersed. This immersion body has the shape of an annular hollow cylinder, through which the medium 17 flows through the auxiliary fluid cooled in the container $ under heat extraction.
The immersion body thus forms a heat-absorbing element, which ensures the @@ '@ irrne @ ibsorptionsphase of the refrigeration cycle process.
The refrigeration transfer element 16 is thus connected to the apparatus body by means of flexible lines 14, 15: The container 8 for the auxiliary fluid connected to the immersion body 16 contains the evaporator 7 of the refrigerating fluid.
The auxiliary pump 9 is of the Mernbran type; it has a be wegendes in a solenoid 19 and serve as the core of the actuator 18 for the same.
It is easy to see that an alternating excitation of the winding 19, for example by a switch not shown in the drawing and controlled by the member 18, gives this member a reciprocating motion necessary to actuate the auxiliary pump 9. Since the organ 18 protrudes upwards, the same can be done easily with a finger to bring the auxiliary fluid into circulation, up to the point in time when, after repeated actuation of the organ 18, the circulation takes place by itself as a result of the between the different Points of the circuit prevailing temperature differences.
The container 8 is surrounded by a heat-insulating compound 20, which in turn is located in a shell 21 forming the base of the apparatus body.
The apparatus described is designed as a portable unit with small dimensions, the weight of which, depending on the models, can be from one to five kilograms.
Fig. 2 shows an additional device which can be used in place of the immersion body 16 when it comes to making small ice cubes.
This additional device comprises a prismatic hollow body 22 which can be connected at 11 by means of the tubes 23 to the body of the apparatus, in place of the tubes 14 and 15. In the interior 24 of the body 22, a longitudinal container 25 can be inserted are wel cher with the water to be frozen, has cubic cells 26, so it is intended for the production of small ice blocks. The body 22 can be added to whoever of a made of a heat insulating material, box-shaped auxiliary organ 27 to accelerate the freezing of the water cubes.
This additional device is particularly useful when there is a drink on the table that you want to cool down and dilute by adding ice. In this case, the device is placed on the table and everyone can make the pieces of ice they need themselves.
3 shows another auxiliary organ which has a container 28 which is located inside a vessel 29 surrounded by a heat-insulating material 30. The container 28 is fastened to the bottom of the vessel 29 by blocks 31 in such a way that the same is surrounded laterally and from below by a liquid such as brine or a mixture consisting of water and glycerine or alcohol.
On one side of the container 28 there is sufficient space between the same and the wall of the vessel 29 to immerse the immersion body 16 in the liquid 32. In the container 28 one can for example store a liquid or acid to be cooled, which one wishes to cool or keep cold. To avoid thermal losses, an insulating cover 33 is provided.
Fig. 6 shows another Ausfüh approximately form of the apparatus, which differs from the first among other things in that the cold-generating fluid itself flows through the immersion body and not the auxiliary cooling fluid. So there is only a single cycle through which a fluid flows. This arrangement allows the weight of the apparatus to be reduced considerably, due to the simplification of the construction.
This apparatus has a rotary compressor 34 which is arranged with the electric motor 35 driving it on the same shaft in a sealed housing 36 Ge. The lower half of this housing is surrounded at a certain distance by a hollow annular Or gan 37 made of metal, which is provided with cooling fins 38 on the outside. The Tauchkör by 39, which forms the refrigeration agent and which is shown in section on a larger scale in FIG. 4, is connected to the outlet 40 of the annular space in the organ 37 and to the inlet 41 of the compressor.
The outlet 42 from the latter opens un indirectly into the interior of the housing 36, wel Ches by means of the lines 44 with the A occurs 43 of the annular space of the organ 37 in connection. The immersion body 39 forms an evaporator, that is to say a heat-absorbing organ, which ensures the heat absorption phase of the refrigeration cycle.
The cold-generating fluid flows in the sense indicated by the arrows and moves in the following circuit: it exits the compressor under pressure and condenses in the lower part of the housing 36, its vapors also get into the line 44 and from there in the ring roughness of the organ 37, where it cools down and condenses thanks to the cooling fins 38. As a result, the liquefied fluid reaches the immersion body after flowing through the expansion vessel 45, which is shown in section in FIG. 4.
As a result of the pressure drop taking place in the expansion vessel, the fluid experiences a corresponding drop in temperature and evaporates after reaching the immersion body 39 with heat removal from the immersion body by surrounding medium. The vapors leave the immersion body through line 46 and reach the inlet of the compressor, where the cycle begins anew.
The power supply lines to the electric motor are denoted by 47, 48 is a table which is vertically adjustable in 49 and which can be held at the desired height after a vessel has been placed on it for the purpose of immersing the immersion body.
The immersion body shown in FIG. 4 contains two concentric cylindrical tubular stems 50, 51. The outer tubular piece is closed at both ends, and the outflow tube 46 is connected to its upper part. The interior of the pipe section 51 is in rough communication with the nvischen these two pipe sections by means of the cutouts 52 present in the base of 51. The pipe section 51 is closed at its upper ends.
The feed line 53 opens into the upper part of the space delimited by the part 51. Thus, an approximately uniform cooling effect is achieved on the entire side surface of the immersion body.
The expansion vessel 45 has an auto matic valve 54, which one sets any big, depending on the temperature required in the immersion body. Its task is to cause only a certain pressure drop in the fluid flowing through it. Fig. 5 shows two lines such as 14 and 15, or 46 and 53, but arranged in a common protective cover.
In an apparatus according to FIG. 6, as in the first embodiment, flexible lines can be used to connect the immersion body to the apparatus.
It is also possible to provide several immersion bodies, each immersion body being connected to the apparatus by two lines (in this case the immersion bodies are preferably mutually connected in parallel to the circuit of the fluid flowing through). The immersion bodies forming the cold mediating organs are arranged to be exchangeable.
In another embodiment, it is also possible to provide different immersion bodies, one being the same as the immersion body shown in FIG. 1, one of which is the same as the immersion body shown in FIG. 2, and a third is similar to the first is, however, intended to be constantly zuciiiinienzucrl) cite with an auxiliary device shown in Fig. 3. In such a case, one would prefer to use tap closures,
to interrupt the circuit in or in the immersion bodies that are currently not in use. It is clear that the invention is not limited to the case of an electric motor and even less to an electric rotary motor. It is also not limited by a rotary compressor. Any known and suitable means can be used.
By 55 in Fig. 1 is a controlled by a thermostat commutator Darge provides, which controls the motor. Such a device is useful when it comes to keeping the contents of a container similar to that shown under 28 in FIG. 3 at a certain temperature, with minimal consumption of elec tric energy. The thermostat can be self-adjusting and of any known type. The described embodiments of the cooling apparatus work on the Kom pressionsprinzip.
However, the invention is not limited by this case; it also extends to cooling devices working according to the absorption or adsorption principle, that is, where the energy required to achieve the cold-generating effect is supplied in the form of heat, as is already known.
