Elektromagnetisches Relais.
Electromagnetic relay. The present invention relates to electromagnetic relays and has the object of specifying a type of relay which, while having the smallest size, has high response sensitivity with sufficient contact and combines high vibration resistance. These requirements come to the fore especially with relays for vehicles, especially for aircraft, since it depends on both the best use of space and power savings, and since the vibrations of the vehicle do not cause any contact disturbances, thus incorrect switching conditions.
The present invention solves the problem posed by the fact that: the contacts - z. B. directly or indirectly - the moving part of the relay is held in the rest position by a permanent magnet and in the working position by electrically generated magnetic forces.
The use of permanent magnetic forces to generate the contact pressure in the rest position makes spring forces superfluous, which have to be overcome when excited by magnetic forces and which noticeably reduce the sensitivity.
It is particularly useful: to design the movable tongue as a magnetic core that is enclosed by the excitation winding. In this case, the arrangement is advantageously made in such a way that, when excited, the end of the tongue resting on the permanent magnet receives the same polarity as the permanent pole. As a result, the attractive forces that are effective at rest are converted into repulsive forces that contribute significantly to the transition of the tongue into the working position and thus increase the sensitivity of the relay.
The winding data of the excitation coil and the cross section of the movable tongue are expediently dimensioned in such a way that, when the moving part is excited, a. Pole forms about the same strength as; it has the corresponding pole of the permanent magnet. In the figure, a relay according to the invention is shown schematically as an exemplary embodiment, on the basis of which the invention will now be explained in more detail. On a base plate 9, a U-shaped iron bracket 2 is arranged, which is the field winding 4 to.
The movable tongue 5 of the relay, which can oscillate about an axis 6, is designed as a magnetic core and can move in a cavity within the excitation coil 4. At its right end, the tongue carries 5 contact pieces, which respectively against an adjustable mating contacts 7. 8 place. In the rest position, the tongue 5 is held in place by the north pole N of a permanent magnet 1. The south pole S of the permanent magnet facing away from the tongue is connected to the opposite pole 3 made of soft iron by the iron yoke 2 which surrounds the excitation coil and which holds the tongue 5 in the working position when the relay is energized.
While in the idle state between the north pole N of the permanent magnet 1 and the right end of the soft iron tongue 5, the left end of which is connected to the south pole S of the magnet via the iron yoke, the tongue is magnetized when the relay is energized so that the right end a north pole about the same strength as the north pole of the permanent magnet,
forms. The attractive forces are transformed into magnetic repulsive forces by excitation, which contribute to the transfer of the tongue 5 into the working position, in which it is attracted by the counter pole 3, which is magnetically connected to the south pole of the permanent magnet 1.
The mating contacts 7 and 8 are adjustable so that a very narrow air gap remains between the tongue and the magnetic poles, so that on the one hand the magnetic forces of attraction are relatively strong, but on the other hand sticking of the tongue is reliably avoided.
Occasionally it is useful to safely avoid sticking of the armature in the working position by a weak auxiliary spring which pushes tongue 5 away from pole piece 3, even if the air gap between tongue 5 and pole piece 3 is set too small. The spring can be sized so that the response sensitivity of the relay is not influenced at all.
